Established in 1995.

Opened in 1995, today ZMA is one of the most professional, well established martial arts academies around.

At ZMA students of all ages learn and achieve self confidence, concentration, control, respect, and self discipline in the rich tradition of Chinese Kung-​Fu. Students improve their stamina, muscle tone, weight control, balance, coordination and awareness in a safe and professional environment. Through years of training we have combined modern teaching methods with traditional Martial Arts techniques, which make our certified instructors not only experts in martial arts but also in teaching.

What sets us apart from most other martial arts schools is that we include weekly PRIVATE lessons with your membership.

At ZMA we combine the arts of Kung-​Fu, Tai Chi, and Submission Grappling together in order to provide the most effective means of self-​defense in realistic situations.

Sifu Zai A.

Business Owner

As a young man, after years of rigorous training and winning numerous competitions, Sifu Zai set his sights on combining teaching and the discipline of traditional arts with modern no– nonsense self-​defense techniques.

Sifu Zai’s years of training encompasses the arts of tai kwan do, kempo, kung-​fu, tai chi, brazilian jiu jitsu, submission grappling, muay thai and kickboxing.

1995 Moved to Reno Nv, and opened Zai Martial Arts Academy

1998 Traveled to southern China and Hong Kong for training and touring. While in Jiangmen city, China, the birthplace of Choy Li Fut Kung-​Fu he performed to a record number of visitors and masters.
