Unilocal, why you gotta be so nice? I would rather give this place zero stars than one… Anyways, I called the pharmacy to make sure I would have my prescription ready for pick up tomorrow, seeing as I dropped off the script last week. I simply asked, «can you please make sure it’s ready for pick up tomorrow because I won’t have time to wait for it.» The ‘manager’ on the other end of the phone snickered at me and said«uhh ha, okay… Katherine, yup we will attempt to do that!» I asked her what her name was because I didn’t appreciate the tone she was using and her response was«Excuse me? I didn’t take a tone with you and you’re talking to the pharmacy manager.» So I asked the ‘manager’ if she could have the medication transferred to a different and she told me she wasn’t able to do that. K then, once I pick up my prescription tomorrow, I will never return to this location. I have never been treated with such disrespect, it disgusts me. How the hell did you become a ‘manager’? Last I checked, I don’t get paid to be your customer but YOU get paid to assist me.

If a pharmacy is unable to help their clients in a reasonable amount of time, they should either, expand, or close the drive-up window(which can average a 45 minute wait behind other cars) and focus on walk-in customers. Walgreens is trying to cut their bottom-line by not expanding or hiring enough staff to appropriately serve the amount of customers and refill prep required — and it shows. The stress it puts on the customers, not to mention the staff, is preposterous. How many one stars have you gotten, think it’s time to make some changes???

Ive gone here for years but due to a recent visit I will never be going back. Some brat in the make up section was so rude to me and treated me terribly. Mumbling under her breath and huffing around like a 4 year old. I am shocked, I have never met a rude employee there until this girl. Its inappropriate to act like that as a teenager. That was simply ridiculous.

I recently had a very disagreeable visit to the pharmacy at the Walgreen’s in northwest Reno that I need to share. Yesterday I had an appointment with my surgeon for a post-operative exam. As a result of some things he found, I was given a prescription for an antibiotic and also a pain medication. At about 5:00 he sent the script for the antibiotic electronically but I needed to hand-carry the one for the pain med. Arriving at Walgreen’s around 5:30, I presented them with the pain script, but told them I didn’t need it right away and that I would pick it up the following day. However,(because I had an abscess and was running a fever) I told them I needed the antibiotic and would wait for it. They confirmed receipt of the prescription and said it would be twenty minutes, during which time I could browse in the store. They would page me as soon as my prescription was ready. I browsed around the store, went out to my car, made a few phone calls. Finally, I returned to the pharmacy waiting area and did some texting. A pharmacy clerk asked if I was waiting for a prescription and I said yes. She asked me my name and date of birth and promptly disappeared. A few minutes later I was asked the same questions by a different clerk. Looking at my watch I was surprised to realize I had been waiting over an hour. This clerk checked with the pharmacist and said, «The pharmacist didn’t know you were waiting for the prescription. She thought you said you wanted to pick it up tomorrow. At that point, I needed to clarify which prescription they were filling. I explained that there were two new prescriptions in my name. «You ARE filling the one for the antibiotic, aren’t you?» The clerk looked it up in their computer. «Yes, it’s for.» and read me the components for my pain med. So at that point I realized I had just waited over an hour for a prescription that Walgreen’s was not even filling. In addition, I was shocked that the pharmacy clerk couldn’t tell the difference between an antibiotic and a narcotic. Irritated, I explained again it was the antibiotic I wanted and the clerk went to speak with the pharmacist again. When she returned, she said they had only JUST received the transmitted prescription(the same one that an hour before another clerk verified they had received) and that it would be about twenty minutes. Based on this pitiful performance, I’m going to transfer my prescriptions out of Walgreen’s. Anyone thinking of going to this location for prescriptions should be forewarned!

I have several prescriptions that I take daily for multiple medical conditions. Almost every time I use this pharmacy there is some issue or problem. The pharmacy tech will tell me one thing on the phone and I drive over to pick up meds and they aren’t ready or it’s too early for a refill. It seems like the techs don’t communicate with the pharmacist or vice versa. This has happened many times over two years. I have never had so many problems with any other pharmacy. Most recently, I was shorted a few pills on my pain medication. I called pharmacy to report as soon as I got home and counted them. I realize that there was no way for me to prove that it was their error however, I wanted to bring it to the pharmacy managers attention. I was told they would be doing an investigation and inventory and that I would be getting a call back to let me know the findings. What a shock that I have never heard a thing and that was over a month ago. Plus, I suffered being shorted meds that I need for my medical issues through no fault of my own. Now it is my duty apparently, to count every pill every time I pick up a prescription. I no longer trust them and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I have immense respect for those who work in pharmacy(as my best friend does). I frequent Wal-Greens occasionally to get refills or OTC drugs for the occasional ailment. The pharmacy folks are always so friendly — it takes a while to get through the line sometimes, but it’s totally not their fault. Today’s experience was actually really good. I was waiting in the drive-through lane(I know, I can be lazy) for about 10 minutes, but the pharm tech was so sweet and kind. She called me «sweetie» — which somehow makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She was thorough and made sure I knew what she was giving me(or rather my husband). The inside staff is just as great, on my several trips here to get OTC drugs. They smile, help me if I need it and tell me to «be well,» which I think is really kind. I highly recommend this place!

The photo department at this location has been very helpful to me. I’ve had many standard photo orders, which always came on time and high quality. We had a nice young man take our passport photos there. But the day before Christmas, I lost an order of calendars. Jim was incredibly helpful, making lots of calls to locate them for me. He never gave up until this situation was solved to our satisfaction. I am extremely grateful.

The pharmacy at this location is the worst ever. Every single time I have tried to fill a prescription there has been some sort of hassle requiring either multiple telephone calls or trips back and forth to the store. Examples are: 1. Doctor did not call in the prescription — yet when I called the doctor they claim it was called in. Had this issue numerous times yet do not have this problem when I use another pharmacy. 2. Insurance won’t cover this formula — yet when I call my insurance company they tell me that it is covered and when they contact the pharmacy it is filled. 3. We don’t have this in stock and it’ll take several days to come in. Yet when I ask can you get it from another walgreens they say yes, no problem. We can have it ready by the end of the day. 4. You are not in our system. I’ve been getting prescriptions from here for years and you had my refill information on file. 5. Insurance won’t cover this medication and retail cost is $ 50. Called my insurance company and they do cover it. After may discussions with the pharmacy they finally admitted they had deleted my insurance information. 6. Your insurance company’s system is down. Yet I call my insurance company and get right through. They claim they are up and running. 7. Your prescription will be ready after 5pm. Ummm. it never is because there is always some sort of problem preventing them from actually filling it. Feedback from my insurance company is they either get disconnect or Walgreens pharmacy does not answer the phone. This happens on a regular basis while I am on hold and my insurance company is trying to straighten them out. Bottom line… Walgreens has lost my business. My time is far to precious to be spending running back and forth trying to get prescriptions filled. I’m searching for a pharmacy that i can drop off a prescription and be reasonably confident I can pick it up when they say it will be ready.

It’s walgreens so I don’t expect too much. I get greeted every time I go in this location! To me that’s a big deal, especially from a convenience store. Seems the people working there are sincerely nice. I see walgreens as the bigger, better, 7 – 11, minus the alcohol.

This is a decent enough Walgreen’s. Usual selection of make up, non-perishable groceries, greeting cards, and toiletries. Ok pharmacy, although sometimes they are a bit on the slow side. We have had some issues with them not processing the correct insurance information(my dad has the same name and also uses Walgreen’s, albeit in another state) a few times, but they’ve always taken care of it. That was on some of the earlier visits, so they seem to have this down as its not happened in a while

Unilocal is encouraging me to write a review of this location, as I checked in once coming home from the desert. As far as Walgreen’s go– this place seems good. Its clean, the staff was friendly and the store seemed well stocked with all the lovely, lovely crap that I like to find at a Walgreens. I got my summer pair of flip-flops for under $ 5. Can’t beat that.
