While there are other newer, nicer facilities in the area, my family and I tend to make our way to the Traner Pool on a fairly regular basis throughout the summer. The facility is older and showing some age, but it is clean, with spacious locker/changing rooms. The pool itself is huge. The crowds tend to be lighter than what we’ve found at other community pools, but even when it’s a busy day, the size of the pool means it’s never *felt* crowded. The two water slides keep my son entertained for hours. And if he somehow manages to get bored with the pool, there’s also a small splash pad play area. With the exception of a soda vending machine, there aren’t any concessions available for purchase. They do, however, allow outside food to be brought into the facility. The few chairs and loungers that are available tend to fill up quickly, so I’d suggest bringing a blanket or large towel, if you want to lounge in the sun. Note: They do NOT accept credit cards.
