Established in 2011.

The Robotanist was established in April of 2011. Sonja, the owner, left a corporate in-​house design job to begin the Robotanist because she felt a distance from the community, and wanted to design on a more personal level, while becoming integrated with the people and businesses that make Reno a nice place to live.

Business Owner

Sonja graduated from Montana State University in 2005 with a BFA in Graphic Design. Since then she has worked in a variety of environments including a newspaper, small design studio, corporate in-​house team, and now for herself. Sonja appreciates creativity in all of it forms, from the way a person dresses to tasteful graffiti to folk art… She finds that anything with a unique edge can be inspiring, sometimes in a very surprising way.
