History

Established in 2006.

Strata Design Group has over 16 years of experience in the design and construction industry. We specialize in space planning, finish specification and project management. Our repertoire includes full home renovations, kitchen and bath remodels, restaurant interiors, churches, healthcare and commercial tenant improvements.

Meet the Business Owner

Melanie H.

Business Owner

Melanie graduated from San Francisco’s Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in ‘2002 with a degree in Interior Design.

Between ‘2002 and ‘2006 Melanie worked for several local design firms, including: High Camp Home, M Home, Anthony Smith Architecture and Spirit Interior Design.

Melanie established Strata Design Group in ‘2006 and spent the next six years working on design projects throughout the Reno and Tahoe areas.

In ‘2012 Melanie relocated to Portland, Oregon where she was able to focus on the construction side of things. For 2 ½ years she worked as a project manager and estimator for JDL Development, Inc. gaining experience in all phases of a construction project. Her projects included: residential remodels, multi family renovations, and tenant improvements.

In ‘2015 Melanie relocated back to Reno where she hopes to use her design and construction background to continue growing her business.
