History

Established in 1995.

We are a family-​run business & started our business in Kauai, HI in 1995 buying Military Surplus from military auctions at Scofield Barracks, HI. We moved to Big Bear Lake, CA in 1998, sold that business & moved to Reno in 2004. We LOVE Reno and have been here with our family since. Our daughter lives here with her husband and our 2 beautiful granddaughters– they help us out with our business when needed. We buy, sell and trade when we can. We sell vintage and collectible military surplus to world-​wide collectors through eBay at www​.StevesArmy​Surplus​.com. We’ve been into Airsoft and Paintball since it all started and in addition to having an on-​site tech, we have installed an Airsoft Test Range in our store so our customers can test-​fire their favorite airsoft gun before they buy. You can buy online, but you can’t test-​fire before you buy! We warranty all of our new Airsoft & Paintball guns, so there are no shipping charges to send back to an online company for repairs

Steve has run this business since it has opened in 1995. When he first opened the Kauai store, he worked with the local pig hunters with camouflage and accessories to help with their hunt. Since Airsoft and Paintball have become popular, Steve has gained knowledge about both fields and has worked with various local agencies to provide airsoft guns for training and field experience. Steve likes to work closely with customers and helps with any special requests they may have. Steve has recently worked with the local theater and movie industry to provide props for various events. Steve also likes to help out with local organizations, such as Veteran’s Guest House. Ask for Steve when you come into the store and he’ll be glad to help you out!
