I just started going here. PA Frampton was very nice as is his office staff. Autumn, my physical therapist is awesome! She is so knowledgeable and helpful! The PT tech that works with Autumn is very helpful and knowledgeable too! The X-​ray techs were very nice (sorry I can’t remember your names ladies), and Karen from MRI is a sweetheart. She talks you through the multiple positions and pictures that are necessary to diagnose your problem. I got copies of the imaging studies AND the results of those studies mailed to me, without requesting them! I also got a copy of the H&P mailed to me. It is so nice to have a copy of your medical records without having to jump through hoops!

I hate reading the bad reviews from some of these people. I’ve not had one bad experience going here since 8−20−15 they make me feel like they care and want to help me my insurance makes it difficult because I need the 5,000.00 copay paid before anything but that’s not the doctors fault. I’ve never had to wait long I’ve never been treated bad either. They make the appointments where I as them to be made. If anyone is having problems and being treated bad then maybe take a look at what your doing or how you act. They can’t fix you in a 15 minute appointment. I love Amanda Jones she’s always smiling kind and listens to me when or if I have a pain and loos at it and then tells me what it is and how to fix it at home since it’s taking forever to reach my copay.

I had the absolute worst experience in the Carson City office. I recently found out that I have multiple issues in by back including scoliosis. I was referred to Spine Nevada as my issues were something that my doctor felt a specialist should look at and tell me what it is, what’s going on, and how to handle it. I was told to come 30 minutes before my appointment in order to get me in on time. I was happy with that as I wanted to get as much learning time as possible. I arrived at the office exactly 30 minutes before and turned in my completed paperwork. I was glad that the waiting area had coffee as I sat there for almost two hours before I was seen. The receptionist saw that I was getting frustrated with no update, but continued not to say anything. About an hour after my appointment, she finally tells me that the doctor is running late. I would accept this in a busy doctor’s office where there are people ahead of me, but I was the only one in the office. I never once saw someone come in or out besides myself. After the two hour wait, the doctor, I believe it was Dr. Pirraglia, made me wait another 20 minutes before coming in and speaking with me. When I got the chance to talk to her, she was very rushed and wouldn’t answer my questions. She continued to be rude and then left in about 10 mins. She didn’t look at my x-​rays until I was about to leave as well and made it seem as though it was a chore for her. Dr. Pirraglia said that there was nothing really wrong with my back and that I simply needed to exercise the muscles. After this 10 minute meeting, she rushed out and closed the door on me. I was waiting in the room for a while until I decided to ask her assistant (?) if I could leave. It was then that she told me I could have left a while ago and wasn’t sure why I was still there.
I received a follow-​up call informing me that they needed my x-​rays to look at again and that I was supposed to be going to physical therapy. I was never told this and was quite surprised at the lack of communication. The last straw was just the other day when I received my appointment report and it stated that I needed PT 2 – 3 times a week and that the appointment lasted 45 mins. I hope I don’t have to deal with Spine Nevada in the future and I will make sure my doctor doesn’t recommend any patients to them.

On 12÷16÷14 I had lower back surgery @ Renown on Mills. Dr. Lynch did the surgery. I found out 4 days later when my husband had to rush me to the emergency room that I was bleeding internally. I was in a state of shock and could of lost my life; according to the emergency room notes I read later. It took 24 hours to stabilize me before Dr. Lynch could do a 2^nd surgery and repair the vein he cut and clean up the hematoma. After being in the hospital 4 days Dr. Lynch came to see me and stated what had happened and stated that during the 2^nd surgery one of his tools slipped and punctured my Spinal sac, which he stated he repaired. He never said he was sorry nor took any responsibility to pay. Today I am suffering from nerve pain and numbness from my lower back to my feet due to his errors; per a 2^nd opinion from another back surgeon. I would give negative stars if it was an option.

Dr. Lynch, Dr. DiMuro and my primary doctor, Dr. Jaffe all worked together to literally save my life. I have suffered from headaches for over 15 years and the last month, they turned debilitating. Could no longer work and hardly function. Jaffe told me Spine Nevada has one of the few in motion MRI machines in the country. I’d had brain MRIs before with no abnormalities and I’m so thankful I saw Spine Nevada for my MRI. If I had solely had an MRI on my neck without motion, it would have looked normal bc when I lay down, it’s normal. Standing up on the other hand revealed a herniated disc that was compressing my spinal cord! I was so relieved to have finally found what could have been causing this all these years. I thought I’d just have to live in pain the rest of my life. Had epidural with DiMuro and feel relief already (although I may need one more). They have given me hope that I will be able to get back to my life.

i had back pain so went in and met with dr. lynchs p. a joe alaverez. good guy and knew his stuff. i really like him. set up surgery. my only issue is that i only met with dr. lynch for maybe 10 minutes. had two surgeries and never did see dr lynch. only his physician assistants. i love both ken shaffer and joe alaverez and dr. lynch did a great job on my back. so since all worked out fine i cant complain about the drs. my issue is that phone calls regarding hospital bed i needed were not dealt with. paperwork need corrected and the business i was dealing with said it was like when they left messages they were ignored. no one ever returned their calls. so i never could get the billing dealt with. thats a drag. i ended up losing $ 200 so i dont know whats up with that. all n all i would return there if i ever needed to be seen again. (I need to edit this: my partner did say Dr. Lynch did come into see me quickly while in the hospital, I was out of it so dont remember)

I have been going here for over a year. I am seriously looking for a new doctor. They cancel appointments the DAY OF. I would be charged if I cancelled on them. They absolutely DO NOT care about the fact that I have to drive 2 and a half hours one way to get there. They cancelled on me and when I asked about my prescriptions I was told I need to be seen before I can get a new prescription. WELL NO SH**. I was supposed to be seen, you cancelled on me so now I get to wait over 2 weeks for pain medication. Seriously not sure I want these people operating on me. I have yet to be seen by Dr. Lynch, did I mention it has been a year. Ken Schaeffer is very nice and pleasant however getting ahold of anyone takes an act of congress. The only member of the office staff with any sort of care in her is Mercedes. They cancel, they don’t know which office you are going to, they switch you around. Did I mention I have to drive 2 and a half hours to get there. Obviously they have no time for me or the quality of my care

Dr. Burns and Dr. Lynch are the only two people I would trust in that place! All of the others are liars and manipulate drug tests. This includes the office personnel. They leave the samples alone, they do not monitor the protocol for collecting samples. After they said I had tested «dirty» I immediately went to my GP we told them about the «dirty» urine test. I left sample and GUESS WHAT? it came back clean!!! Imagine that? This is after about 2 hours after the «dirty» sample was taken at Spine Nevada. Once they do your surgery and IT DOESN’T WORK, they drop you. They can no longer help you and so you have to go to another doctor. Which by the way I don’t have any problems with.

My third epidural there, original MD moved, but Dr. Murphy seems good. Had my procedure yesterday AHEAD of scheduled time! The wait to see him for consult was an hour and a half past apt time. Still some issues with office staff. Better than last year however. Gave me a follow up apt card with just the MONTH on it, no day/​time!

Dr Murphy was not bad, but his assistant takes days to return calls, even just to change an appointment. The entire time I was with this doc I had issues getting refills done in a timely manner… expect a week, and no call back if issues come up. If you cancel an appointment expect a 3 week wait before you see the doc. The receptions were all been very professional and courteous. almost apologetic for Maria.

I was a patient here for about a year and a half and all I can really say is that it was a wasted year and a half. The only thing this «practice «has going for it is the physical therapy department. Thaïs is awesome ! I can only say good and amazing thing about her and her department.
The rest of the staff and office lack competence period. If you choose the office be prepared to waste time, effort, money, and all patients. Also be prepared to repeat yourself constantly and be treated in all honestly like crap for the most part. I understand that Reno is a smaller town and does not have a huge amount of spinal institutes and that’s what makes it worse, there’s much to choose from so one would hope that they had good options.
To the doctors or whoever there might read this, I hope you up your standards care dramatically. Please pay attention to your patients and what they are telling you, don’t ask if your pain is tolerable or livable. You get one star because I don’t have the choice to not leave one Best regards.

Dr Burns is amazing! Always treats me with compassion and explains all procedures he does. The physically therapy team is on their A game with Torrey as the leader. Dr. Lynch’s sugerical staff is a whole different story. Slow lacking in knowledge and frankly say the previous Dr. Didn’t do the correct procedures. And do not bother calling spine nevada about complaints. Because Dr. Burns only cares the rest just want your money!

If I could give this clinic negative stars and then have the place audited and inspected I would. I will never see them again. This clinic is shady, really, really, shady. I have been going through this clinic since August of 2013, nearly $ 8,000.00 later they still have no answers and treated me like a criminal the whole time. I am a high complexity case and they don’t want to prescribe you pain medication unless you do a urinalysis. Spine Nevada uses Dr.‘s that seem so sincere and nice and concerned until you ask for anything other than what they want for you, or if you ask for anything at all for that matter. I was diagnosed in 2010 with narcolepsy after nearly dying in my own garage after falling asleep while the vehicle I was driving was still running in my garage. I received a neck injury/​back injury in September 2011 to be followed by a brain hemorrhage and I now have another aneurysm post hemorrhage. My life sucks. I am always in some sort of pain and fighting to stay awake everyday despite the back pain from neck to my butt, migraines and tension headaches and severe depression due to getting treated like a criminal because I am trying to fix it so I can have a life that I don’t want to blow my head off in. To make a long story short they make you sign a form that says that you agree to random urinalysis which is fine, except that you would have to prescribe medication on a basis of other than whenever it is convenient for them. So I refused to do the urinalysis due to the fact that I did not have to pee, I did before I had the appointment because they said that it was random the last time that I did it. So I thought I haven’t asked them for any more pain medication even though they only prescribed me enough to last a month and gave me an appointment two and a half months later so I am obviously not an abuser or I would have asked for more before I even ran out, which I didn’t. So what makes all of this seem shady other than the fact that you have to piss in a cup even though you pay for them to take care of you. Then when I confronted them about it they stated that it wasn’t random testing it had to be done everytime that you saw them and if you didn’t you won’t receive any medicine from their clinics. I said «hell no» that is not what the form that I signed said. I told them I don’t want any medication from them since they don’t prescribe them anyways and will never see them again. I will hopefully die before then if not it will be too soon.

He just completed a fusion on my fiancé and did an amazing job. Surgery could not have gone better. When he came out to the waiting room, he showed me the surgery through step by step images and explained the process which made me feel knowledgeable of what was done. He then smiled and asked if I had questions. I asked if I could give him a hug, he hugged back! I researched him and he does great work. Would recommend him all day long.
