The Reno Events Center is pretty nice and is conveniently located in or near downtown, at least walking distance from the hotel and casinos. It’s decent size and is good for sporting events. The biggest downside is their vendors and food options, which basically means don’t eat anything while you’re there.

WOW, thanks to Reno’s awesome CM Michael T. and Unilocal,we experienced what Reno Events Center has to offer. I had no clue this place existed in downtown Reno besides the Mega casinos with concerts held in their ballrooms. I like the idea of an events center away from all the smoke and casino vibe, where kids can hang out and enjoy a family-friendly event with others. It’s right next to the National Bowling Stadium, and I’ve always wanted to check out what’s happening on N. Center Street. With a 7,000-seat arena, I’ve heard it also hosts a variety of concerts, can’t wait to come back with the family. The prices are beyond reasonable compared to Bay Area stadiums i.e., Oracle, AT&T, Levi’s, SAP, etc. There’s plenty of street parking on weekends for free unlike SF, where some meters run all night. Don’t get the bottled drinks, buy the 32 oz unlimited sodas at the concession stand, and with Unilocal’s check-in offer, get unlimited popcorn ~ FTW!!!

What a great little venue! I’m so used to Kings fans and these fans didn’t turn it up?! Overall a great experience at $ 2 a ticket. Nice!

We love brining the family to watch the Big Horns! Great fan involvement and plenty to do for the kids in the kid zone.

When I heard that Timeflies was coming to perform in the Biggest Little City, I knew I just had to go no matter what. I even posted it on the event page and hoped that I would find someone else interested. I didn’t. I ended up going by myself but enough with the pity party because I had fun: D I decided to buy my ticket at their box office because Ticketmaster was charging $ 8 service fee per ticket. Yeah, I think I’ll pass. On the day of the event, the box office opens at 10:00am. I read that you can also buy tickets at the Silver Legacy box office but I haven’t had much luck finding it. Parking at the garage in front of the venue costs $ 8 or at least it was for this specific concert. Not too bad if you really don’t want to brave the cold. However, if you don’t mind a little walk… parking is free at Silver Legacy and you can just walk on down 4th street. They only sold general admission tickets for this concert which meant it was standing room only. I understood why they did that a few minutes into the concert. It was more of a clubbing scene and the only artists that really sang was Timeflies and every other act did DJing. The venue was well-staffed and the concession prices weren’t too bad. $ 3 for bottled water and $ 5 for soda. I’ll be on the look out for the next act they host in town :)

Mosly amazing concerts. plenty of space and can see the stage from most of the seats. The security is a joke… enforcing only the rules they want as you enter the building. Inside the building there is basically no security. Drug use is rampant and no one to stop it.

I guess the lack of service aka NO customer service at all is worth a comment! I m working since 92 in the industry I travelled all over the States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia selling merchandise for rock and pop bands. This place is literally one of the worst! It starts with them opening only one door for shows, the line that for wraps around the whole building and is painfully slow. The the security, seriously full of them self, all black dressed guys that have no idea of how to resolve conflicts nonviolent! They just want to be unfriendly it seems. There are not enough ushers around so the guest wonder confused over the concourse! And can’t find their seats. The merchandise stands have tiny price signs and no light! Hopefully the next band that I work with doesn’t play here Oh and just to ad to the excitement all ATM s are down at 10pm

Okay, I admit it, I came here to see Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium. What an interesting night! Is she real or not? Not sure, but we sure were entertained. There were some goose bumpy moments for sure. The venue held roughly 3,000 attendees for this event and we had floor seats, 15th row. The set up was nice — camera crews followed her as she walked around(no, tottered, on her six inch sparkly shoes) — which broadcast on a huge TV screen. Access in and out was very easy. Come early, at least half an hour before an event starts, to miss long lines.

I am giving the Reno Events Center 5 stars because of two reasons; I thought the sound was excellent inside and it’s easy to walk to from just about every downtown hotel. I saw TOOL there and the floor seating was comfortable and close to the stage. I noticed the rest of the seats were positioned well too with nothing a mile away. This is because it’s not that huge. I’m guessing around 5,000 person capacity. If you have read the other reviews then you’ve been warned; DON“T SHOWUPEARLY. When I arrived in town, I scoped out the venue and saw people waiting in a two block long line two hours before the show. So I waited until just before showtime to get in line, then five lines formed at the doors and the original line was running up the sidewalk. Inside there were long beer/snack lines and the lobby area was jammed with people trying to buy posters and shirts, so I just passed through the mob and easily found my seat. If you want a beer or a shirt watch out for the stampede. Sound quality and view means the most to me, and the Reno Events Center is great for concerts. I’ve been in bigger venues that do not sound that great. Floor sections 2 and 3 are the very best for viewing.

Nice venue but thank you so much Reno Events Center for making everyone wait outside in the cold for an hour before letting us into the venue. I’m sure everyone really did want to test out those flu shots. Poor service on your part; especially when some of us spent a lot of money on ticket packages.

Saw FGL here the other night and it was a great show. The venue is smaller than most I’m used to. But they keep it well organized and clean. Lines move quickly– especially important when you’re waiting in the snow outside!

Nice venue, but(there’s always a but), the alcohol lines moved slowly. Like seriously. Get two drinks(the max allowed) because you will become sober while waiting. You’re at a Steely Dan concert, who on earth ISN’T drinking here, let’s beef up the bartending staff. Also, if the line is this slow, don’t be high maintenance and order a cosmo. Beer, wine, shot, there are people getting sober in the line waiting for your poorly made foo-foo drink. The lighting inside is quite lacking. Can you throw in some rope lighting or something to help us thirsty concert-goers get to our seats? I grabbed my iPhone and found my handy dandy Flashlight app, which I had to juggle between my two drinks(did I mention the line for booze was slow?). Then I got busted by an usher, who told me there was no recording or flash photography. I was polite, but come on, I’m trying to effing find my seat, not make a bootleg YouTube of a 70’s band. I watched several people clearly record from their digital devices in other seats without an usher invading their personal space. Are you profiling me because I’m a 37 year old woman attending a concert with a primarily 50 – 70 year old age group? We had a great view of the band, though, so despite my grumblings, this is still a great place to catch a concert.

Good place for a concert, but don’t plan on seeing anything on the stage. Good screens. Lots of room and you don’t ever feel like you can’t breathe. Will keep this place as a favorite.

This place is an awesome concert venue! I am so glad I got the opportunity to see Maroon 5 at this venue last weekend! The Reno Events center is pretty new and very clean. It is a lot smaller than other concert locations so there is a great view from every seat in the house. Since I bought tickets the day of the concert the best tickets I could get were row 38(10 rows from the back on the floor) or section 105 row 13. I opted for the section 105 so I could have a better view of the stage without worrying about all the taller people standing in front of me on the floor. I had the best time ever! There were 3 large screens and the seats and sound system were great. The lobby can get a little crowded during intermission but for a small venue bathroom lines moved fairly quickly. The Reno Events center is located downtown and near all the major casinos– Silver Legacy, Circus Circus, Eldorado and Harrah’s. There are several small restaurants in the surrounding area to catch a bite before the show and if you’re up for a drink after, head over to the Freight District at the Ball Park. Can’t wait for my next favorite act to come to the Reno Events Center!

I’ve been here a few times for Reno Bighorns games. The Bighorns are an NBA development league team that gets players signed to the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors. They also get players that struggled in the league, but are still young. So, we’re basically talking some lower NBA quality talent. For Bighorns games, they shrink the size of the venue a bit, using only about 2⁄3 of it which easily accommodates and basketball floor and seating for a few thousand people, plenty for Bighorns games. The ticket counter is great, quick, friendly service, about the most helpful of any ticket counter I’ve seen. There’s only one entrance which can result in a bit of a line, but usually isn’t too bad. Most people near the entrance aren’t waiting to get in, but are waiting for something else. The security staff varies in attentiveness. I brought in a salmon dinner from Tivoli at the Eldorado once, but another time they told me I couldn’t bring it in(I grabbed it at halftime). After quite a bit of discussion, I came up with the option of them holding it for me which they did. Why they didn’t suggest it struck me as odd. I went out to get my own food because I thought the concession was horrible. It’s like 5 dollars for Coors Light and 2 – 3 dollars more than most concessions I can recall for what appeared to be microwave cheeseburgers and fries. And there’s a line at halftime. Totally not cool. Lame selection. Poor quality. And a wait. Boo. The acoustics for the place are pretty good and events are well run. The announcers did a good job of adding some energy to the games that I attended. Plenty of activities to keep you occupied during breaks in action including skills contests, a very active, athletic mascot, items falling from the rafters(army paratroopers with coupons, thunder sticks, etc.) and skilled dancing performances.(I actually liked the youth dance team a lot better than the cheerleaders for the team). The place is clean and new. It’s a modest, nice little venue and I’d certainly go again so long as I boozed/brewed up and ate prior to going. The location in downtown is very convenient. You can easily walk to any downtown motel or major casino hotel from here or to here.

I saw Journey in concert here and it was pretty amazing. Was my first time here… would def come back. Nice arena, roomy, staff was ok. Funny, I dont know if it was reno or just this drunk guy that kept trying to pick a fight with me. Either way… had a great time… but it was probably mostly my company.

We drove to the city of Reno to see Aaron Kwok in Concert at this newly remodeled facility. Wife always obtained the news about these Hong-Kong entertainers coming to the US to do a performance from friends and other sources, and miraculously obtain tickets to all these musical events. The tickets were purchased in many places in San Francisco’s Chinatown or other larger Metropolitan cities that has a Chinatown. This facility holds nearly 5,000 spectators, who try their best to rock the whole city of Reno down. Aaron Kwok along with Andy Lau, Leon Lai and Jacky Cheung(Matt’s fav singer) formed Hong Kong’s Cantopop version of the«4-Kings» were the most popular foursome for all Cantonese and Mandarin fans from the 1980’s– the mid 1990’s. In current time, they are still popular, although they haven’t done much in Hong Kong’s pop cultures and being overmatched by new breeds taking over the music and entertainment scene. When they were in their prime, Matt listened to each of their musics and owned many of their«now» classic CD’s in the 90’s where they dominated the Hong Kong entertainment industry with their silky smooth voices that attracts many listeners of all ages from the Chinese communities in all globe around the world. Ever since Matt got married and older, he haven’t followed much, but wife still keeps up with the current events in the Hong Kong’s entertainment. Wife still listen to musics from Hong Kong,(both Mandarin and Cantonese) while Matt listens to Jay-Z, 50-cent, 2Pac… «WEST-SIDE!» Wife spent $ 125.00 dollars(the cheapest and lowest price) each for us, to watch a great 2-hour show performed by Mr. Kwok. Mr. Kwok would sing many of his current & greatest hits that Matt and wifey listened and grew up on. Some of the missy fans including wife bought nice bouquet of flowers and other gifts for Mr. Kwok and whenever he would sing a slow song, he would invite the girls upstage, hand him the gifts and give each girls including wife a hug and peck on the cheek. He did dance with a few of them, but not wifey, who was heartbroken and disappointed, but still she did hugged the man of the night.
