Great prices and professional service. Got 4 tires installed on our vehicle. He came to our home on time, was very professional and had the best price in Reno. He was very careful with our vehicle and hand torqued all the lug nuts to factory spec.

Used these guys twice! Mitch came out and installed a tire on my trailer. He was the only one to have a used tire in my size. Good price and great service. Today his son Devin came out and put a fresh set of tires on my Nissan Leaf. Good price again, Thanks guys!

For years, we went to Mr. Hubcap and were satisfied with the tires we purchased for several cars. We appreciated the friendly customer service and good prices.
We were so disappointed when the store closed because we do not have a convenient place to have tires changed by a mobile unit.
Today my husband went to a national chain store that is convenient to our home to have his truck’s tires checked, which were purchased at Mr. Hubcap. They were wearing strangely. On one side, both front and rear tires were wearing at a much higher rate than the other side’s front and rear tires. Due to finances, we were hoping to replace two tires and rotate the others.
Turns out we could not do this because 1. Mr. Hubcap had installed an odd size that is not normally used in the industry and 2. One of the tires was actually an entirely different size than the other three tires!
What the hell!!!
We must now replace all the tires, which puts a strain on our budget.
Not to mention the inexcusable carelessness that installing a single tire of a different size represents.
Yes, they are extremely friendly and nice, but I do not go to tire stores to make friends. I want my safety to be a priority. I want to get a good product for my hard earned money.
Yes, I like a good deal, but not at the expense of my safety. And is it really a good deal if down the road it causes you more expense and increases risk of a serious problem?
You get what you pay for. Lesson learned. We will be far more careful in future tire purchases.

Great service, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Will always go to Mr Hubcap first. They have been consistent for years now.

Above and beyond customer service; prices 20−30% lower than those quoted at other «lowest price» outlets. Owner Mitch Palmer, son Devan and shop tech Bob are real pros and make tire tech talk easy for the average person. I came up from the SF Bay Area to do business there and will do it again. They matched price and picked up tires for me at Tirerack. I have about 1000 miles on the tires they put on my T&C van and they are smooth and quiet. Installation price was lower than other places as well.

Great place to purchase and have tires installed. Family owned and operated, knowledgable staff, more than fair prices. Have just purchased my second set through them. They always beat or match tireracks prices. Best tire shop in the biggest little city!

This is a good business with professional and friendly workers/​owner. Mitch took the time to show me some of my options and even broke it down to the hardness of rubber and how it was related to tire-​wear. We agreed on my best option and was not at all trying to hustle me into the more expensive ones. My experience was good and I felt good for going to a local family owned and operated business. The only suggestion I would have is maybe offer some kind of rim/​wheel polishing for a small extra fee while the tires were being changed.

My dad had seen the place for nearly a decade whenever he’d stay at the Grand Sierra Resort for the Reno Air Races. Well, one year a hubcap went missing on his Chrysler Cirrus, so he thought he’d check the place out. Had he gone through the dealer to get a replacement hubcap it would’ve cost him upwards of $ 140 — just for one, mind you. He was able to get a replacement, that Mr Hubcap had on hand for HALF THE COST!
A few years go by and I wind up losing a hubcap on my Ford Windstar (the guy who worked on my breaks didn’t put it on good enough – that’s for another review). Dad says, «I can go to Mr Hubcap and see if they have a match when I go to the races.» Sure, ok, but sadly they didn’t have a match at that time.
Couple months pass, we’re heading to Reno to pick up my son from UNR and on the way back we thought we’d check, again. Still no match, but we were going to purchase two to have two match on at least one side. If we had purchased two Ford-​brand hubs it would’ve been $ 80 for the two… but they had an offer we couldn’t refuse. A set of 4 (generics) for $ 49.99! I jumped on that deal!
I walked out the door with the four hubs installed for $ 52.79! I guess I could’ve turned in my old hubs for cash, but I decided to donate them, instead.
And the customer service was over-​the-​top GREAT!!! The guys behind the counter were attentive and helpful and courteous! I was sort of shocked, honestly, because (here creeps in my judgmental-​ness) given the approximate age of the guys, I was thinking we’d get a cavalier attitude from them. I was dead wrong. They were respectful and eager to help.
I’ll recommend this place to everyone and anyone!

Just bought 4 new tires from Mr. Hubcap.
They matched Tire Rack’s price and offer free tire rotation for the life of the tire. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even printed out the mail-​in rebate for the tires. I expected to do it myself online. Now I don’t have to.
It only cost $ 15/​tire to install plus $ 8/​tire for disposal and other misc charges. Fair price. Especially compared to Big O prices.
I would never buy tires anywhere else again.

I’ve now had three transactions with the business; two sets of tires and a set of wheel covers. The service and customer attention I received was best ever from a tire business. I was more than satisfied that I had gotten good prices on quality merchandise. I highly recommend this business.

Ordered a set of tires through Tire Rack and had them delivered to Mr. Hubcap. Devin called me when they recieved the tires to set up an appointment to have them installed. They also stated that the next time I needed tires they match Tire Rack’s price and offer free lifetime balance and rotation. (Wish I would have known that before ordering through TR)
I arrived the next day and they had all four tires installed in less than two hours and I was on my way. They are extremely courteous and efficient. They also referred me to another shop to have an alignment done and even offered to call and set it up for me. Service like this is incredibly hard to find. I applaud them and will be recommending them to all in need.
