History

Established in 2014.

My name is Susan. I am a military wife (husband is now retired Military) and also mom of an awesome 9 year old. My parents are elderly and times are changing quickly. I found that with new technology and busy lifestyles of caregivers, seniors are left unable to understand their mail, cell phones, internet, etc. Many family members live far away and are not able to help in the cold weather months. Helping my own parents, I realized how many others may be in the same position and Lean On Me was born. I have over 20 years of customer service experience, mostly in the airline industry. I absolutely love people and my clients are my friends, not just customers. Errand running jobs may include picking up groceries when the weather is bad, post office trips, prescriptions or even well being checks. I also help busy moms and families as well as corporate executives who may need to free up some time to enjoy the things they love instead of dealing with the hassle of running errands.

Meet the Business Owner

Susan J.

Business Owner

I have always enjoyed helping people. I worked, in my early twenties as an emergency medical technician and firefighter. I was an industrial firefighter for U.S. Steel, a lieutenant in the fire service and EMS coordinator. From there, I moved on to the airline industry where I worked my way from the ramps, through ticketing and gate positions into a flight attendant position. I was a flight attendant up until my husband’s military career took us to many wonderful places and I took time off to have and raise my wonderful son. My favorite part of the airlines were the customers. I loved meeting new people and always being able to help. Now in my forties, I care for my parents and see how difficult simple tasks can be for them sometimes. I also see busy families who just do not have enough hours in the day. With my need to help, love for people, and dream to have a business I took a chance and built Lean On Me. I love every single day of what I do and who I meet.
