Lab Corp

I normally go to the Sierra Rose location even though its always been across town for me, but the location is much cleaner than other Lap Corp locations (ie: Mill location).
I figured I’d try this one out, since its a lot closer to work, I know I have been here before, back probably between 2010 and 2011, at that time it was down a hallway next to the rock climbing place, and I remember having to wait out in the hall. When I asked the front desk lady this visit, how long they’d been in this office she said 12 years… so maybe it was all a dream?
Regardless, this visit looked promising initially compared to my last (maybe not) visit a few years ago. Big wall of windows, so it is bright at least and a big open space with the chairs. The walls and half wall are just plain dirty, it feels dirty when you walk in. The front desk lady never smiled, and wasn’t friendly. I’m spoiled because there is normally one person at the Sierra Rose location who remembers me, plus the techs are generally super nice and good at their job (not that I’m a hard stick).
I noticed before I went into the back the tech kept remarking to the patients «Did you drink water today?»… and I just wonder if she was having a hard time with them. When I went in, she said «Oh you have nice veins, thanks, makes my job easier.» I don’t know, I’m sure I’m biased from the atmosphere of the place, but I just wasn’t too confident in this office staff’s abilities.
I’m not ruling it out, because of the proximity to my work, and how often I need labwork… and I’m only here for 20 – 40 minutes, but I will probably stick to Sierra Rose in the future if I can.
