Jiffy Lube

As I got on the 80 to leave Reno and go back home to Northern California, white smoke began billowing out of the tailpipe of my 95 Toyota Tercel. So, of course I panicked and pulled off the freeway with my hazard lights on. I called my auto insurance company to set up a tow to a service station in Reno (to get all the way home was way further than the $ 75 that they covered) and resigned myself the idea of my entire day being wasted while waiting for my car to be fixed. I was really sad and stressed out, had decided to pay the tow company $ 380 to get me home. I was sitting on the curb next to my dead car, trying to figure out which limb I could give up to pay the towing dude, when I looked up and two Jiffy Lube employees were walking towards me. They asked me what was going on and I described what had happened on the freeway (I let them know that I had put 2 quarts of oil in before starting the car because my car leaks oil). They held back from laughing hysterically at me, and diagnosed that I had put a tad too much oil in, which would cause the white smoke and lack of power. they had me drive across the parking lot to their shop, where they proceeded to drain the excess oil, fill up my tires and make my car road ready, and educate me on how to avoid this situation in the future. I know now that i should probably check the dip stick before assuming I need to put any oil in, let alone more than half of the engine’s capacity lol. I have always said that I shouldn’t be allowed to own a car and this proves it! They got me back on the road and safely home, no tow truck required, and they did it all free of charge! They didn’t have to do any of this, but they did. and they went out of their way to get me home. Amazing, renewed my faith in humanity. guys like these are needed in this world! Very friendly staff and fast service. almost every location in reno is great but these people are by far the best! I will definitely be coming back to this shop

I paid extra for a wheel rotation. One would think they would inform of think brake pads. Since they did not I ended up with warped rotary and 1k $ bill to replace them.
Incompetent service.

Had a Groupon for an oil change that was expiring that day, Dec 7^th. Went to Keystone location which was slammed with an hour and a half wait. They suggested I might try this N. McCarran location for a faster service. When I arrived, Kevin greeted me promptly and escorted me into the waiting area. He offered coffee, etc. and turned on a movie if I cared to watch. He explained the service and when it was completed he made a couple of recommendations and listed what had been done; however, I don’t think the vacuuming was done. (Doesn’t matter that’s not the reason I was there.) I was very pleased with the friendliness and efficiency. I was back home 45 minutes before the Keystone location would have even been able to get me in. I would certainly consider this location again even though it is further from my home.

Great customer service. Made me feel like a princess but at an affordable price :-) shout out to Cno. My favorite part was just because I’m a woman everyone shook my hand properly.

Thirty minutes later my patients finally gave out. If you want to wait an hour to have your oil changed, thirty minutes to get help, on a slow day at jiffy lube. All to find out a $ 75.00 charge to just change my oil.

Oh man! I have been sitting here waiting for an hour for the «Jiffy Signature Service.» With 4 employees on shift, and three open bays, I’m just wondering why I am wasting my afternoon here.

Everyone here was very friendly and quite helpful. I came to get my car smogged and was greeted with a smile, told it would only take 5min and it did, along with being offered a beverage while I was waiting. They so renewed my registration while I was there. This place was great!
