Extra Self-Storage – Reno

This place sucks. In the past month I have been unable to enter the property during regular business hours because the entry gate was malfunctioning. Furthermore, I have also been unable to exit the property numerous times once I entered due to the same issues. At no point has the ON SITE staff posted any signs to inform thier customers about the issues or direct us on how to deal with them. Also the property is rarely cleaned up. This is to include tumble weeds that pile up in front of the roll up doors to your storage units or snow and ice in the same locations. Finally to add insult to injury when I called the second time to voice my fellings I was told that they could not and would not provide me with the owners contact information. An internet search has shown that the owners are a California based LLC. Any owner that hides from their customers is a person and company I don’t want to business with. I’ll be moving my business else where, a facility that also has 24 hour access and dependable entry and exit ability.

Extra Self-​Storage is conveniently located, easy on and off Virginia. Kim and Jounda are two wonderful managers, they were so nice when I first met them and have continued to be kind and helpful. I’ve chatted with them on the phone a few time (the bill keeps slipping my mind) and it’s a friendly call. Clean secure units.

These are the cleanest and best priced storage units in the Reno area!
Kim and Jounda are so easy to work with… from the ease of renting to the stressful and exhausting day of moving into the unit. They were always available to answer questions, even when I was still 1700 miles away.
Words to describe my experience with management: professional, kind, caring, friendly, helpful, knowledgable… etc!

This is our storage location for all things Burning Man related. Bikes, costumes, cooking supplies, air mattresses, you get the idea.
We’ve lost our keys no less than three times and they’re always gracious about replacing them and cutting our old lock. The price is fair for what you get: security, climate control, pleasant staff, and decent location right off the highway. The bathroom is stunningly clean even when dirty burners are alll up in it.
If you want that fifth star please install trash cans Stor-​Tyme! We certainly pay enough to justify the cost of the labor to throw away our trash.
