Definately not the most fashionable place to get clothing. The styles are for an older crowd. Their jeans fit really true to size and are durable. The employees greet you when entering, and help get sizes when you are trying things on. They suggestive sale well, and don’t fail to ask for you to open charge accounts with them!

LOVE this store! I order frequently online, and then go pick up my items at the store-then buy more! The staff there have always been awesome, helpful, friendly and most of all honest! Not telling me something looks good just to make a sale, when I know it just doesn’t work on me. I appreciate that greatly. I’ve never had a problem with any of the staff, the mgr Terry is extremely efficient, easy going and fun to work with. Although most of the bottoms at Catherines do not fit me, I make up for it in tops, jackets and sweaters there. I love the perks and sales they have, and I think the quality of their clothing is very good. I will continue to shop there, and I hope that this one and only store that we have in Reno continues to stay open! Thanks so much for all the pleasant shopping experiences. I’m heading there again tomorrow(and they are holding a few items for me until I get there). Awesome

My wife orders most of her clothing online, she tells me the prices are better and she can shop in peace without crazy ass sales women talking about credit cards or adding things on. For a change she decided she wanted to shop IRL due to wanting some specialized items and decided to go to Catherine’s since Layne Bryant isn’t her thing. The place was a dead zone. There was one woman working there who seemed simply not to care at all. I went to go grab something to drink and when I came back my wife was carting around boxed bras up to her chin while the same saleswoman still had not moved an inch. I ran over and helped my wife to the counter. She had picked a bunch of bras out, maybe more than the saleswoman was used to ringing up. She asked if my wife wanted all of them, and if she was going to pay for them. Obviously we were going to run through the parking lot screaming«FREEBRASFREEBRAS!» Someone else, who turned out to be the manager, started ringing us up when I saw a cute pair of pajamas. I said to my wife that they were cute and she said«They want 80.00 for pajama pants and a short sleeved shirt!» Like others have said, this is the store for women who enjoy older style clothing and what my wife calls«cruise wear». So if you enjoy high prices, older women styles or your going on a boat, this is the store for you! Anyway, the manager is checking out my wife and my wife explains how the other woman(who has left for the day) was ignoring her while she was trying to get stuff to the counter.(I should note she was carrying shirts and 8 boxes of bras and was clearly having balance issues) The manager explain it was not the sales woman’s fault because her hours had been cut and she was bitter about it. Well that explains everything! What a way to win back your hours, be bitter and take it out on customers. Excellent! The manager then went on to badger us about getting a credit card or their perks card. She gave up about the credit card but was relentless about the perks card. It was bad, I thought my wife was going to walk out or throw the bras at her or something. Really, ask once and then shut up about it. I don’t know what stores hope to accomplish by verbally accosting their customers with these offers. They are high priced for what they sell, and you can buy much the same thing on line for much cheaper though they do have some cute shirts and some nice shirts… and those cute PJ’s. I don’t think we will ever go back though, mostly because of the manager.

Not my cup of tea for style. Aimed at a little older crowd. But very nice clothes at a decent price. Super nice staff and very helpful.
