Bellus Threading

My last review was good but I’m just updating this review to let everyone know this place continues to be great! If you need your eyebrows threaded this is the place! Not only is the lady friendly (unlike the ones at the mall) but she is super good! The prices went up a little bit this month but it is still a good deal.

I’ve been coming to this location for anything to do with my eyebrows bc I don’t want to mess them up doing them myself. I decided to pop in and see if I could get them done today around lunch. Unfortunately she wasn’t there and the lady in the front says she hasn’t been in for a couple of days. This isn’t the first time I’ve came in and waited for her to be there at noon so I know there will be a wait. This time I left but I am bummed out that I couldn’t get my brows tamed. I’ll be back next time I guess. I understand that people get sick or life happens but when you have customers waiting for you to be back there has to be communication. Hopefully all is well though, I wouldn’t want the one and only cheap threading place go away.

First off, I have horrible eyebrows. Very coarse, thick, unruly eyebrows. I have had them waxed for years, and every time I have them waxed regardless of where I have it done or the wax they use, I break out horribly. So I decided to try eyebrow threading. I found «Bellus» on Unilocal,and based on the great reviews, I decided to try it out.
I will say that the location is a bit strange. The first time I went there 3 people waiting, and I didn’t have time to sit and wait, so I left. Went in today late afternoon and luckily there was no wait. I sat down and Amanda started my eyebrows. Now this is the first time I have done threading, so I knew it would be a little uncomfortable, but holy s*&t it HURT, and I like to think I have a pretty high tolerance for pain! The good news is it didn’t take long, and when she was done my eyebrows looked AMAZING, I had a tiny bit of redness, but that’s it. She shaped them beautifully! I will definitely be back to have it done again. The biggest problem I see arising is how popular she is becoming since she does such a great job. While I was there a line formed as 3 other people showed up. My suggestion would be that she starts making appointments so it’s more convenient for people on the go. Overall very impressed and will be back.

Eyebrow threading isn’t very popular in Reno so I searched for a while to find Amanda after having my eyebrows done in Las Vegas many times. Amanda is wonderful! She’s very professional, fast and great at her craft. Her prices are so affordable it’s unparalleled by prices at the competitor in Meadowwood Mall. If you’re looking for an better alternative to waxing, and eyebrows that stay groomed longer, give Bellus Eyebrow Threading a try… You won’t be disappointed.

I’m very particular about my brows so I was skeptical to try a new place. I’m so glad I did because I won’t go to anyone else as long as I’m in Reno.
Amanda is amazing, fast and pricing to fit your budget.
The location is a little awkward BUT once you have your brows threaded you won’t go anyplace else.

She does a really great job and is very attentive to my threading needs. However, her posted schedule is not accurate at all. I cannot name the amount of times she is not there when her schedule reflects that she should be! I have to constantly come back and forth and have the rude people inside the market she works in tell me false times that she will be in. I live over an hour and a half a way and when I come to Reno I expect to tend to my beauty needs. Shes either closed or open for four hours. I feel I have given a lot of money to her company and wish I could continue to keep going but I need stability when it comes to my brows. Also. her booth is super cute but the market she is in is an eye sore. Luckily found another, cheaper threading place and with set hours.

The prices went up and now it’s $ 9 for eyebrows, $ 9.50 when paying with a card, the only thing is that whenever I get here she’s never here. I’ve been having to wait for her to get here even thought it says she opens at 12. Nonetheless, she is still good at what she does

Omg she is the best in Reno!!! My eyebrows haven’t looked this good since I moved to Reno. I usually get my eyebrows waxed and decided to try threading. It hurt but it was well worth the pain. This will forever be my eyebrow spot! Highly recommend.

I didn’t know when the hours were, got there at 1130, she doesn’t start till noon, waited, went back inside 10 till, she was already in there working on someone. There was one other lady sitting down. I sat down and she said there was a 30 minute wait.
A 30 minute wait?! She wasn’t even open yet and no one else was there except one other girl.
Then I realized, the girl was the same one that used to work at the threading place at the mall. So I left and went back to the mall and got in right away.
I only have 3 stars cuz I already knew who the person was, as she did my eye brows before, but to say there was such a long wait when no one else was there was bad… I would guess maybe she had appointments but still…

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Looks a little weird but the lady here does a great job. Been to many threading places all in Southern California and in Las Vegas and this place is one of the best.

Not the most amazing I’ve ever had. Fine did the job but no great reshaping. Not bad however and good value.

I went to get my eyebrows done and I wasn’t too impressed. She did an OK job. The location is horrible it’s inside a market. I don’t think I’ll be going back there again.

She’s amazing! I’ve been going to her since January and have never been to someone anywhere near as good as she is. She listens to what you want and has a natural eye at what looks good. Highly highly recommended!!!

I have gotten my eyebrows threaded in Las Vegas, DC, San Francisco, and nobody can do it like this lady. In and out in 15 minutes, good eye brow shape, and 8 bucks? I’m saying yes.

Although appearances aren’t too promising (dingy facility, strange location) Amanda is a fantastic threader. She was able to transform my heavily grown in caterpillars into perfectly shaped brows. I was so impressed. I will definitely be back!

Amanda is great! I stopped doing eyebrow threading since I have had plenty of bad experiences, but Amanda is talented and she takes really good care of her clients. I will definitely be a regular! She takes appointment via text/​call or just walk in!

Amanda is a life saver! After months of trying to get my eyebrows back to a perfect shape, trying different places (thou shall not be named LOL) and not succeeding, Amanda has brought my brows back to life. My brows are very important to me and needs to be touched up quite often. and I’m so glad that I’ve found my go to place for my brow up keeping. I recommend her highly, You will not be disappointed!

First, allow me to just say that an independent woman starting a business venture is an amazing thing! After coming to her small cubicle to support her start up, I am now a loyal customer and will ever go back to the mall for threading!
Those ladies in the mall are always busy because it’s conveniently located in a place with heavy traffic. Even after the wait, they are not customer friendly, they man handle your face and hands, grunt at you when they want to convey something, grab your head harshly and are just plain unpleasant.
Why everyone should get their threading done here:
1) Yes it’s located in a foreign supermarket, but hey, if you get hungry or wanna explore other cultures, it’s a two in one stop!
2) Amanda is super sweet, she is friendly, and does not MAN HANDLE you while she is working on you.
3) The prices are SUPER fair. At the mall, the threading business there charges you $ 13 whereas as Amanda only charges $ 8 (eyebrows, $ 11 for eyebrow and lip combo)
4) Amanda does an AMAZING job! She seriously knows how to highlight your natural beauty by shaping your eyebrows and she is so thorough and perfect about it that it can last for weeks! I absolutely love it!
