Rego Park Express Inc.

With the existence of Über & Lyft, I’ve basically stopped calling car services. However, I used this one for years before that, and perhaps I still would if they had an app that make getting a cab/​paying so easy.
Pros: They give you an ETA, arrive when they say they will, cars are clean & in respectable condition, I’ve never felt unsafe with a driver for any reason (which is much more than I can say for Yellow/​Green Cabs!), rates are reasonable.
Cons: Sometimes the ETA is long, drivers are sometimes hard to understand, they aren’t the friendliest/​most customer service-​oriented when you call, even after specific directions/​descriptions drivers still wind up calling from a block away not knowing where my place is, they won’t dispatch to an intersection/​cross street/​landmark. I once called at 9pm asking to be picked up in front of a church after an event… I gave the name of the church, the neighborhood, and the intersection… They refused to send a car without an address. I said I couldn’t find one, but repeated the previous information. They refused and told me to find an address, which would require walking a few blocks in the dark to a house and calling back with that address. In the end I walked to a bus stop and waited for the bus. That experience brings it from 3 stars down to 2 for me.

they’re the sole meaning of shit. if i can give zero i would. they should never open a cab co. the dispatchers don’t even know english. not even they hang up even when you speak english. i called six time to be hung up five times! theyre rude unprofessional pieces of shit! save your money and call a company that speaks english.

Update: still assholes. Called them for pickup & never showed up, then the guy on the phone repeatedly called me to pay them for a no show, I thought I could try them a year later… Guess not. Über is the way to go.

I reserved a pick up at my apt to head to JFK and after they were 5min late I called and let them know and I was assured the driver was 2 blocks away. So my husband and I waited (in the rain) and waited… and I called again. «He’s there.» No he isn’t I’ve been here. «He’s 1 block away at the light.» I thought he was here? Click.
Waited 2 more min and then decided to grab a green cab. I called to let them know they were 15min late and we couldn’t wait any longer so we left. They weren’t pleased but neither was I. This was my first and last experience with RPE.
The moral of the story is NEVER use Rego Park Express. Always Ready car service has beat cars but they’ve never let us down.

I guess this service is a mixed bag. This time I called to book a car to pick my 75 year old mom up at LaGuardia. I asked the dispatcher if they do meet and greet by baggage claim with a name sign. He said «I don’t know». So I asked «Well where should the passenger meet the driver?» and he goes «I don’t know, I’m not the driver!!» He was obviously from some former Soviet republic. He sounded like his mouth was full of food. He told me to call back. I didn’t.

Never again even though I live two blocks away from the main office. Smelled like cigarettes… car was extremely dirty inside and out. The driver didn’t even say hello and was fiddling with his cell phone while driving which caused him to short-​stop. erasing it from my contact list on my cell phone and telling the doorman of my building not to use them.

Best car service in the area! They are super quick and always give good prices. You can make an appointment at anytime to be picked up and they are always on time. Most of their cars are brand new Nissan’s and Toyota’s that are super clean and even their Lincoln’s are clean. Usually cab cars smell but not these cars! Well taken care of and always want to please their customers. Deff recommend them. Best car service for going to airports as well

Came through in a pinch. Last night Four Ones said no cars available at 5:30 a.m. due to the weather. Always Ready called an hour before scheduled pick up to cancel. Called Rego Park Express at almost 5:00 hoping for a cab at 5:30. They came through and were even a little early! Got us to the airport on time with a very pleasant driver. Thank you!

Worst cab dispatcher I have ever spoken to in my life. He didn’t know my location then after a minute he told me 15 minutes, which was fine. He processed to then call me back and tell me I was going to some location and I didn’t know what he was talking about. To make a long story short after waiting about 25 minutes for the cab I called back and he told me it would be another 15 minutes in a rude manner.

I used them several times and the main reason is that they are next to the place I live. I always paid cash and tipped well. They are always on time. But their customer services desires better. They were rude to me a couple of times and I didn‘t pay attention because was in a hurry. Last time I called to order they were rude. When I misheard what they said to me and politely told that I cannot hear them the receptionist (male) told me that I have a bad phone in a rude way. That is it. I am not using this service anymore. I called another company they were polite and charged me $ 2 less for the same route.
What can I say… you choose.

we have used this service three times now all for early morning pickups and they have been promptly on time each time. what more can you ask !!!

I am a flight attendant and take car services often to get to LGA and JFK. I use rego park express because they are literally right down the street from me, but after this experience I will never use them again.
The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude to me. I asked for her opinion on what time I should get picked up if I have to get to LGA by 5am. I’ve used other car services before and they would suggest a time because they know better than I do what the traffic is like at that time and how long it usually takes. She ended up saying I don’t know I don’t drive. I told her that I could google it and let her know in a second and she hung up on me. When I called back she said «I don’t have time to wait for you.» Is that how you talk to a paying customer? If you don’t have time to talk to your customers than I don’t know how you keep your business going.
The drivers are pretty good and reliable, but I can’t deal with these rude dispatchers anymore.

These ppl. are ridiculous. They quote you one price over the phone and then when you’re ready to pay, they rip you off adding another 20% because you pay with a credit card. Don’t ever use these guys. You’re better off walking. I feel robbed!

The rudest dispatchers. Treat client who consistently call them up 6 times a week like they’re nothing. Still haven’t realized that in the US there is such a thing as customer service. Have no knowledge of the 5 block radius around their office and cannot accommodate a cross street request, even if it’s around the corner from their base.

Were polite on the phone. On time pick up. Nice clean car. Best car service in Queens.

$ 25 from forest hills to JFK. Dispatch was curt but polite; driver arrived ten mins early for a 5:30am pickup. I was pleased and would use them again.

Worst dispatchers in the world. Some drivers are very rude too, but i blame this on dispatchers. They don’t call you that the car is downstairs, then when you go out late, and the driver is mad at you, because «you want me to wait for you for $ 5??», the dispatcher lies into your face that they called you twice and that you said you are coming out. Or they forget your order, or they send the car immediately, when you asked them that you need one in 15 minutes only. Customer service? no, never heard of it.
Yes, $ 5 around the neighborhood is good price, but I will so happily pay $ 7 at Masada that has most polite staff, both dispatchers and drivers. Yes, Rego Park express has 2 – 3 drivers that are really very very nice, but it’s the dispatchers that made me never call them again.

The worst simply the worst bootleg outfit in Rego Park. Dispatchers are clueless and cannot deal with the multi tasking the job demands. –0 rating

Tried to reserve a car for my 75 yr old Mom to get her back and forth to a wedding in LIC. There have been snowstorms all winter in NYC. I wanted to make sure she would not have to worry about transportation, weather etc… I got this disgusting female «thing» on the phone. That became nasty, raised her voice when I asked her to repeat the info to confirm we were set. FYI~ I’m calling from California. I cannot bring myself to call her a woman nor human being. I grew up in NYC in 48 yrs this has to be the most disgust thing I have ever come in contact with! Lucky for her I was on the phone! Real Lucky!

My boyfriend and I needed a ride to JFK at 7am on a Saturday — they arrived right on time. The driver was polite — though he did spend a few minutes on a personal call and his driving was aggressive at some points.
From Rego Park to JFK, they charged us $ 25 — which we were very happy with. Last week, however, I called them from Rego Park and asked them how much a cab would cost to Woodside Ave and Northern Blvd — they told me $ 18! Really? For a ride that was less than 10 mins? I said «okay no thank you» and hung up. The guy still showed up and called me to say he’s outside — too late, I already got a ride!
