My Best Friend Too

I have been taking my Teacup Yorkie Simon here for years. Both Ann and Mark are such wonderful caring people. They take such great care of Simon and always make him look so handsome. I would never take Simon anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

I chose this place to bring my 5mo old maltese puppy for her first grooming after reading all the great reviews. As soon as we walked in the owner greeted us and greeted our puppy by name. Our maltese pup had really bad knots on her legs and the owner explained exactly what she was going to do to take care of that as well as the rest of the grooming process. They were extremely nice and caring of our puppy. It took roughly an hour from start to finish, my pup was happy and came out looking great!
I’m extremely pleased with the results and the overall experience, def will be coming back. Highly recommend this place :)

I LOVE this place. I have a beagle that my husband and I rescued less than two years ago. I think he went through some trauma because he freaked out every time someone touched his nails. Over time he’s gotten better and each time we bring him here, they can trim a few more nails at a time. We just have to hold him super tight. They are very patient and let us go in the back in case he starts freaking out, but I think he’s becoming more familiar with the place. Luckily he sheds so we don’t usually need to get a trim or cut from them. They do clean his anal glands and he seems fine during the procedure.

Owners are so sweet and caring. They are very patient and loving to my dog that has bad anxiety. They listen to every detail as to how I want my dog groomed and follow directions. It’s a small Mom and Pop shop and they really care about the animals they tend to. Cash only.

I chose this place because I was having trouble getting an appointment at my regular groomers and all the reviews for My Best Friend Too were consistently good. I’m so glad I did, because they are absolutely wonderful here! They were so friendly to my dogs (Lhasa apso/​bichon mix and a Shih tzu), and were really nice to me, even though my dogs were a hot mess. They worked super fast too– my pups were done in an hour, and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be bringing my dogs back.

I can not write enough nice things about this place! If having kids gives me nearly half of the anxiety I had when I took my kitty Liza to get shaved, I’m not ready for parenting. Ann was the feral cat whisperer, my cat Liza is a long haired cat who was born and grew up on the streets, even having her ear tipped to note that she had been spayed and put back out. She isn’t mean but very wary of humans, I can’t even pick her up without her squirming to get loose. Ann, calmed my nerves walked me through what she was going to do and even allowed me to be part of the process. Liza had been all matted from her chin down her belly, I didn’t want to shave it all but rather just get the painful matts off. She let me hold her, which of course I loved, as she shaved her. Liza didn’t even shake, she was so calm as Ann spoke to her sweetly and moved as fast as possible. All her weekends are booked up, that is just a testament to how good she is with animals, so call weeks ahead if you need a weekend appointment. I would highly recommend her to any nervous cat mommies, she is hand’s down THE BEST!

It’s taken me so long to find a groomer I like and I am so glad I found this place! They are wonderful! My dog is special needs because he’s had multiple orthopedic surgeries. I was nervous about having him groomed after spinal surgery but as soon as I walked in I felt super comfortable having him groomed here. It’s not your typical grooming place where they have a million dogs at once. They really took their time with him and did a wonderful job. I also like that they allowed me to be here with him. I will be coming back for sure!!!

After a long research, I found the reviews for this place really good, so I took my Miniature Schnauzer puppy for her first grooming in My Best Friend Too.
When I came back to get her, I found a happy puppy, like she is all the time. I was so nervous about her first grooming, I think if the first experience is not good, then it will be a problem for the rest of her life, but it was so good. She was so beautiful and happy. I really liked the place, they were so good with her, talking in a calming voice and petting her.
This is going to be our place for grooming!

We recently moved to this neighborhood and we are greatful to have this establishment in our neighborhood! We have two dogs Archie and Tabby and they are both rescues! Mark and Ann are patient, caring, kind and efficient. I like the fact that I can stay with my dogs during the process. Make sure you call in advance to schedule your appointment! They are very busy!

I just love this place. They adore all of the dogs that come into their door. I have a rescue Maltese who has many issues with ppl and they tolerate all of his schtick! I have come to Anne many times for many reasons and she has always had an educated and compassionate outlook and opinion! Very accommodating, clean, and compassionate enviornment! When you pick up your dog after grooming everything is done … No holding back on maintenance. Nails, ears, glands, and a beautiful cut! I AM A HUGE FAN OF THIS BUSINESS! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Took my malteepoo to My Best Friend Too today. The owners are amazing! They were very thorough with what type of cut my girl needed. She took to them instantly. They are very accommodating and they listen to your wants and concerns. Needless to say they gave Olive the best cut yet. Best part they were done in an hour. Can’t wait to take her back.

I love going here. Our dog is nervous like most dogs, but he’s a former shelter dog, so his needs are a bit greater than the average. Anne and Mark are awesome. They’re professional and compassionate, and they know how to handle my little sweetheart w/​care and firmness. Plus, I get to be there, which seems to help Doggie’s anxiety level (and my own).
I would not even think of going anywhere else. The price is competitive too, and these seem to be two smart, caring people who really seem to be actualized in the work they do w/​the animals.
Plus I get to learn a bit when I’m there.
I can’t recommend them enough!

Tired of seeing my Shih Tzu quiver and shake at entering her prior groomer’s establishment, I booked an appointment with Mark and Anne after reading positive reviews on Unilocal.After the first visit, I was convinced that they had both our hearts. The owners spent considerable time talking to me about any concerns or special areas to focus on, but also called me within minutes of noticing some skin bumps due to allergies to make sure «mom» was OK with them using oatmeal shampoo.
Not only does your dog not have to wait in a cage (they book appointments that actually run on time!), but they will also give you call when your pup is within 15 minutes of being ready. I literally just drop off my dog and walk over to Starbucks or shop at the nearby stores on Queens Blvd, and they are done before I even know it.
Upon pickup, I have to literally nudge my pup out the door, but it’s hard when she doesn’t want to leave! Anne makes it a little more difficult, spoiling her with goodbye treats :)
It’s now been 4 – 5 trips, and my pup is not only consistently perfectly coiffed and smells divine, but she bursts through the door and into the back room on her own. They genuinely care about my dog’s well-​being and it shows by the wagging tails going in and out of their shop!

After much research to replace my now defunct dog groomer, I managed to give this one a try. Conveniently located a few stops by train or bus, I knew it would at least be worth the shot. Right from the minute we walked in, they knew right away it was my Charlie (granted I was right on time for his appointment), and said hi to him by name. So welcoming! Now, my silky terrier isn’t the most sociable around people (much less strangers) but I was pleasantly at awe at how calm he stayed when I handed him over to the man’s arms. Less than an hour later, I received a much appreciated courtesy call saying he would be ready in 10 minutes.
Definitely ecstatic with the amazing job they did! Charlie arouse like a new fido — His once overgrown slightly matted mane (due to more frequent summer yard play time) is now no more. The 2 staff (owners i presume?) were really caring and surprisingly knowledgeable. I was allowed to come to the back to help em ease him as she finished plucking his ears. The nice lady groomer stated how she doesn’t believe in muzzles and would rather have I, hold him while she finished his ears up, since my lil guy goes a tad nutty during the touch up. I mean, what owner is allowed to be involved in the process much less be allowed in ‘the back’ of any groomer place?! She even gave me tips on brushing him at home. With a goodbye treat for my now even more handsome dog, I was sold.
Overall in love with this quaint lil groomer shop that will officially now be my lil one’s salon.

I often walk and drive by this store and after seeing my baby Corgi get fluffy as all get out and her nails tapping like crazy on our floors, I called to set up an appointment.
Now normally when I go to a groomer, I drop off the little one in the morning and I get a call later in the afternoon to pick her up. Not so with this place. They get you a specific time to come and they will be done in about an hour. My dog is a fluffy corgi so her hair is rather hard to manage, but for $ 60, they cut it perfectly, got her nails down and gave her a treat as we were leaving.
Great customer service and highly recommended, especially if you live near the area! Just walk over, drop off your little on and come back an hour later! Boom~ ALL DONE!

I brought my dog Kingston there because I’m lacking a car to go anywhere else. I gotta say not disappointed at all. I have been going for almost an year and I bring him every month. They are wonderful people. I love the fact that I bring him they ready to start and they call me just 10 mins before they are done. There is no cage to put them in to wait and they are really nice people and do care for your pets… It maybe a small place but who cares my dog is clean and getting the one on one service love it! and the price is even the best never goes up it stayed the same.

Once summer hits, I can’t bear seeing my long-​haired kitty looking like she wears a thick fur coat inside a sauna. So I asked her vet for groomer referrals. He highly recommended this place to me, and I brought my kitty here for the first time three years ago. My Best Friend Too is a small pet store that offers grooming services at the back of the shop.
I couldn’t have been happier with the service from Mark and Anne, who run the shop. I have quite a fussy kitty who rapidly grows impatient whenever she’s being groomed (by me at home, at least), but Mark handles her gently yet firmly. This is not a fancy establishment, you come here to get the job done and Mark does it efficiently + beautifully. I’m involved throughout the process though and sometimes had to point out a spot or two that Mark can touch up. I prefer being part of the action, since I don’t like dropping my kitty off at a groomer’s and picking up a completely different-​looking creature several hours later.
You need to call ahead and secure an appointment. Forget about weekends, they are always fully-​booked. So far, I’ve been going there every three to five months. Extremely pleased with their service every single time.
As I’m writing this, I’m very disappointed that they don’t accept kitty clients any longer (due to some insurance policy thing or s’mthing). :| I have to find another groomer soon before we get hit by ninety-​degrees weather again.
