I wanted to get my eyebrows done I called because I was having a hard time finding the salon. The lady answered the phone very unprofessionally and wouldn’t give me directions to the salon or let me know what the next Available appointment was and told me its appointment only and she will not take walk in for eyebrows. It states here that you don’t need an appointment and other reviews state that they have walked in. I’m very disappointed. I was willing to give this salon a try after reading reviews but never have I ever experience such rudeness and lies

Extremely fast for eyebrow threading. Only took 4 minutes probably. $ 7 plus $ 1 tip. My eyebrows were shaped but not perfectly, no TLC here. Might have to re-​shape when I get home. It is okay, but there is probably better out there.

Very inexpensive and efficient. They always do a great job with my brows, and never make them too thin. I got the loyalty card, so that each brow appointment is a dollar cheaper, so that’s nice since I always come here anyway. Sometimes they try to push other services too hard, like lip threading (?? do I need lip threading???) and brow tinting, so subtracting a star for that.

Heena the owner does great eyebrows. The other young girl needs to take lessons and listen cause she messed up my eyebrows and all I asked her to do was clean them up and she ended up making one smaller then the other. I waited two weeks for them to grow some so I can go back and have heena fix them. Call first to see if heena is there cause I definitely recommend her

I have been going to this place for 2 years and I cannot believe how this happened. Normally they do a good job but when I went the other day, the person I go to wasn’t there and so I had to get my eyebrows done with a new girl who was young. She did a HORRIBLE job. She made my eyebrows uneven and she took off way too much from the left eyebrow at the bridge so my left eyebrow was much further from the bridge of my nose than the right one. I couldn’t believe she did that — I told her to not take too much and she did the opposite. When I told her she messed up instead of admitting she completely messed up she kept trying to get me to use eyebrow pencil to fix her mistake — so ridiculous. The worst part is she still charged me!!! I couldn’t believe it. Of course the manager wasn’t there to fix this — never going back.

I had been going to the same threading place for about 4 years and have now completely switched over to My Beauty Mantra. I have gone about 4 times now and have loved what they have done to my eyebrows every time! Highly recommend both Heena and Ahn (spelling?)

I’m so bummed to be writing this because the first time I came, I was so excited with the results of my eyebrow threading that I sent pictures to my friends with the details. However, the second time, I walked out with two pencil lines. To clarify, the first time was an older woman and the next was a younger. It was really scary and upsetting — I relived those middle school ‘I just can’t stop tweezing’ years. I made it known that I was upset.
Shame on me for trying again. I thought maybe I wasn’t clear enough in my instruction the last time. So, I went in saying ONLY clean them up and do not do too much as I’m letting them grow in. Sure enough, those pencil marks were back — no hairs that I spent the last 2 weeks letting fill in. I them told them I won’t be coming back — they obviously only know one eyebrow shape and it isn’t what I asked for.
Moral of the story — if you go here — stock up on eyebrow pencils, powders and growth serum because you’re gonna need it. Or only go to the older lady. I’m too scared to go back even for her :/

First time here for eyebrows and lip threading. Quick and easy, friendly staff, and both for $ 13. Can’t beat it!

Take it from someone who has been threading for over 10years and who is very particular with their eyebrow shape, Beauty Mantra knows what they are doing!

OMG! I have been doing my eyebrows in the same spot for the last 4−5yrs. My lady had a baby and has not returned in the last 7 months. Her replacement just kept messing up my eyebrows! They no longer had a shape, I had straight eyebrows, and one was slightly higher than the other. So I came to this place referred by two coworkers. I was hoping to be helped by Heena, but she was not in, so Asiae did my eyebrows. I explained to her what I wanted done. And to my surprise, she did a great job! She gave my eyebrows alil shape without making them to thin. I no longer have straight eyebrows. Lol. I definitely will be returning to this place.

I am so lucky to have found this little gem right in my neighborhood. I go every week for the best threading around. Located right near the 77^th St station, it couldn’t be easier to drop in after my return commute. The wonderful women who work here are friendly, efficient, and just great at what they do. I’ve never left disappointed, and I trust them so much that I refuse to get my threading done anywhere else in the city. I have only tried their hair removal services, but if their facials and hair treatments are anything like their threading and waxing work, then I’ve definitely been missing out.

Let’s start off by stating the obvious. Eyebrows are life! I’ve been a customer of «my beauty mantra» I want to say for about 2 ½ years, And I have not done my eyebrows at any other place since.
The owner is so nice and always welcomes me as soon as I walk into the door. I have yet to spend more than 5 mins waiting which is great considering I always go during my lunch break.
The eyebrow technicians are so precise when using the thread to remove the unwanted hair. I always have great results when I leave and the girls always listen to what you want.
I give them five stars for there service, courtesy, and professionalism.

This is by far the best experience in threading that I have ever experienced in NYC.
Heena threads my eyebrows with the precision of the surgeon, and it’s completely painless. I always joke around with her that I leave her salon looking completely different (in a great way)! I don’t think I can ever trust another salon with my eyebrows after Heena’s magic touch. She knows what’s best and delivers every time. Great value for the service. You are in good hands here.

My first time here was great. I had been going to another place for almost four years, but lately I was running into some bad experiences there. I went to my old place to get my eyebrows done, and it ended up being a nightmare. The woman tried to fix it, but it didn’t look much better after multiple attempts. My brows were sloppy and uneven looking. That was my cue to leave and find someplace else.
I walked into My Beauty Mantra, and explained the situation. I was pretty nervous about having someone go about threading my eyebrows after they had just been threaded twice by someone else who messed them up.
To my delight, the woman who threaded my eyebrows at My Beauty Mantra managed to fix the unevenness, AND clean them up more while still keeping my brows pretty thick. I know that is hard to do, especially when you have to fix another person’s mistake. This was a great experience and I WILL be back.

I work right around the corner from them and I’ve gone since they open and there great! All the girls are good but the owner herself is wonderful and so sweet.
I always get compliments on my Brows and they also tint brows as well. I think everyone should try it, it looks amazing! And there very affordable.

Can’t say anything bad about this place. The people here are sweet and attentive. They listened and followed my instructions well about my eyebrows. i feel so valued! I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place when I live so close by.

I work nearby and seen this place on my way home one day. I really needed my eyebrows done and currently work 6 days a week and have NO time to get them done at my regular place due to my super busy schedule.
I never take a chance on other places when it comes to getting my brows threaded. I decided that it was either take a chance or have crazy eyebrows. So I stopped by. I was greeted by Heena. She is super nice and professional and explained to me about all of the services that they offer. They do everything from facials using dermalogica (a very good and professional company, they use these products in medical spas) to wash and blow and extensions.
At the moment my main concern were my eyebrows! I was greeted by Susi, who was very sweet. I sat down and she started to thread. First off let me start off by saying she took her time and made sure she got every little hair. The shape came out great! I told her to not make them thin and did exactly that.
Great place, amazing service, and great employees! I will be going back for my eyebrows and other services at MY BEAUTY MANTRA!
