Swift Attorney Service

I used them as a process server for a small claims case. They were really helpful in explaining the fees and even helped explain some of the court procedures to me. This is also my first time using a process server. They served the defendants in a timely manner.
However, I did have to email to make sure they filed the proof of service form. By the time the courts received it had almost been 30 days from when they served the defendants. Turns out they had sent it out about a week prior to the courts receiving it. If I hadn’t reminded them I’m not sure I would’ve been able to keep the original court date.
If I needed to use their services again I would because their prices were fair and most of the service was prompt. However, I do hope paperwork would be processed in a more timely manner in the future.

I am currently in a landlord/​tenant lawsuit (small claims) and both Frank and Justin have been keeping me in the loop diligently. I have had to deal with service of small claims, motions to vacate, and now claim of exemptions paperwork. He took the time to explain all the options and steps involved. He explained the fees and answered all of my questions. He also followed up to make sure I got the paperwork he sent in the mail and to make sure that everything was going well with the collection.
I hope that I do not need to use a process server in the future, but if I do, I will not hesitate to call Swift Attorney Services.

Using my wife’s account here. Frank was pretty helpful from Swift attorney service. I was suing my landscape contractor for abandoning my backyard paving project. When I came to Swift for help with serving the court order, Frank came and checked if everything was ok. He reviewed my paperwork and pointed out that I should also have had the contractor’s business on the paper instead of the contractor alone. He explained how we can go after the business if it becomes extremely difficult to collect money from the contractor himself. And after that, he spent almost half an hour helping me revise the paperwork, understand the process and even prepare the amended copy. I certainly appreciate the free legal service he offered and definitely recommend this place.

I used to really like working with Swift. However, in the past few months, the service has gone so downhill. It almost seems like it’s a completely different company-​not sure what happened. I receive no follow up on my process serves. Apparently I am supposed to request to know when someone is served? I work for an attorney’s office, and all of our deadlines are based off of when someone is served, so why they wouldn’t inform me after someone is served is beyond me. Yesterday in the mail I received a Proof of Service that they completed from SEPTEMBER. Today I realized I still don’t have a Proof of Service from a process serve in October. I feel like a babysitter for a company I’m paying to do work. As stated before, they used to be really great, but unfortunately I will no longer be using this company.

They got it done, but the office lacked a sense of urgency and follow-​up.

My case is still a work in progress, but so far Frank at Swift has gone above and beyond – helping me deal with paperwork, employers in another county, and, perhaps most importantly, listening to me vent about the debtor who owes me a pile of money. He’s thorough, more knowledgeable than the paralegal and lawyer I’ve spoken to combined, patient, and extremely helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone who has the unpleasant experience of having to deal with collecting a judgment (or any other legal stuff). Frank actually manages to make the process almost pleasant.

I used Swift once and will not be returning. It took eight days and several phone calls to get Swift to make the first _​attempt_​at service of a subpoena (which was successful). I had to call again five days later to find out whether or not the subpoena had been served and to request a proof of service. The person on the phone could not tell me whether it had been served; this required a call to the process server and a delay of several more hours. I finally got the proof of service two weeks after the subpoena was given to Swift. In short, nothing happened without undue delays and telephone prodding from me. This service was designated as «routine» —- beware of what Swift thinks is «routine.» I’m giving them two stars instead of one because they finally did serve the document.

I would like to update my review of Swift Attorney Service. They not only service Small Claims papers to my hard-​to-​find defendant, they served Wage Garnishment documents to the uncooperative employer. I never expected to collect my judgment, but with Frank’s guidance, it looks like I’ll be collecting my money after all.
Everyone who works there really cares about the outcome, and they have a wonderful reputation in the mid-​peninsula with local attorneys and people like me! Don’t bother with fly-​by-​night process servers — this part of your process is so important and if you need help following up, you’ll be glad you went with such a professional company!
This is a highly efficient and reputable company. They did so much work for me trying to serve an evasive defendant. Good follow through with mailing copies to work, home and P. O Box. Very competitive fee schedule, and the location is great if you’re dealing with San Mateo County Courthouse.
They are so knowledgeable about the legal process. I would use them again, but hope I don’t have to!

These guys are simply awesome. Why ?
Well these guys definitely know what they do. I forgot to attach a very important exhbit to my case and these guys called me up and told me that I am missing the exhibits. Obviously this is not part of their job but it clearly tells me that they go above and beyond to satisfy their customer needs.
Also Frank who is the owner told me that he would be more than happy to make a visit to court on my behalf to San Mateo court and submit the missing exhibit.
Also these guys are right across the street to the San Mateo court so if you just filed your court case in that court then you really want to walk into their office :).
And these guys are really «SWIFT». I was in an out of their office in couple of mins and with in a day I got a call from Frank that I am missing the exhibit when he went to serve the paper.
