Please allow me to introduce you to our Orthodontist: Dr. Stephen Yang

Dr. Yang attended UCLA where he received his Bachelors degree in Psychology, graduating with Highest Honors. Dr. Yang then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with Honors and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. After obtaining his doctorate at Harvard, Dr. Yang went on to study at USC where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics. While at USC, he completed his Masters Thesis on one phase versus two phase treatment in patients with large overbites, and obtained his Masters of Science in Craniofacial Biology.

Dr. Yang is an expert in Invisalign. He has been treating orthodontic patients for the last 10 years.

I never knew that even though I wore braces when I was young, I would need them again as an adult. Yang Orthodontist office made me feel welcome and well taken care of. I excpected to see the office full of young people and was quite surupurised to see so many adults, too. The staff is wonderful and Wendy at the front desk always has the best smile when we come in. Dr. Yang explains what to expect and I just completed my Invisalign program. My teeth are perfect and I know that my overall health benefits from a healthy mouth. I am happy to recommend Yang Orthodontist office for young and «mature» alike.

Awesome team: professional and friendly. Did my Invisilign treatment there so 2 years of regular appointments. They are also flexible on schedule and always on time. Finally I was sadly too old for the challenge but they have an incentive program for kids which encourage them to do well with their treatment and get rewarded with gift cards at cool places.

Just got my braces off today, hooray! My teeth look much better than I have imagined. I really enjoyed Dr. Yang and his staffs professional service. It is a very relaxed environment where everyone is super friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yang to friends and family members.
p. s. They have fun games for kids to play and collect points for real prizes. There are also BBQ and other parties all year around.

Updating and upgrading my review for this great office to 5 stars! My daughter just completed the first phase of her orthodontic treatment and now is on retainers. Her confidence has improved from what she had just a little over a year ago before braces. Her teeth look GREAT now! Dr Yang explained the treatment well and made sure we understand how to keep up with the treatments.
They seem to really care about their patients as we where surprised to have a nice personal letter sent to us from Dr. Yang a couple weeks after her braces where removed about how the whole procedure has been. The whole office is great, I wish I could remember everyone’s name, Wendy in the front is so friendly and willing to help for whatever your needs are. Myra (I think that was her name), my daughter loves her cause she’s always so «gentle» to her teeth, she said. Ana, is another great dental assistant in the office as she is so friendly and always explained the work she did on my daughter.
I would highly recommend Dr Yang and his superb staff for any orthodontic needs for you or your family!

Our family dentist recommended Dr. Yang when we were told that our twin boys both need braces. They have been seeing Dr. Yang for about 2 years and it has been a wonderful experience! My boys love going because he makes it fun by giving Ortho Bucks for each visit! His staff is so friendly and welcoming during each visit. The office hosts fun events & summer pool parties for the kids! I highly recommend Yang Orthodontics if your child need braces!!!

I got my first set of braces when I was 9 and got them off at 11. I’m pretty sure I wore my retainer fairly frequently until I went to college. College was hazy, so I never figured out where my retainer went after that. So now that it’s 20 years later, my teeth have shifted a lot. I went to Dr. Yang for Invisalign and have been extremely pleased with the results. My teeth now look better than they did after I got my braces off all those years ago. Dr. Yang and his team were really friendly and patient with all my questions. They explained everything to me in detail so that there would be no surprises. When I thought I was done with the process, Dr. Yang did just a little bit more to get everything just perfect. The extra time is worth it. And now that I’m older and wiser, I vow to wear my retainer every night!

These guys are pros and pricing is reasonable, at least as far as these things go.
Great with the kids and explain everything to parents.
They keep the kids engaged with games and prizes, and support local community events.

Dr. Yang and his associates have been wonderful from the very start. Our daughter had her braces put on about two years ago and throughout that time she has been treated as if she is the most important person. She had to come in a few times because the wire was poking her mouth or she had some discomfort and they took her in right away. She always leaves there with a smile. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an orthodontist in the area.

My daughter has been seeing Dr Yang for 21 months now and we have been really happy with the experience. The staff have always been very pleasant & friendly, and Dr Yang has a really nice manor with me & my daughter. Appointments have been fast and prompt, and the office was able to see us quickly if we had a problem with the braces. Highly recommend you visit their practice. With 2 younger daughters I expect to use their practice for years to come.

I’m 24 now coming for a jaw issue but I have been coming here for orthodontics since I was 10 years old. The staff is great with kids, super friendly, and really nice people. They did an AMAZING job with my teeth and am now told how great my teeth are everywhere I go ;)

My two sons are patients of Dr. Yang’s. We have been very happy with the care they both received. Dr. Yang and his staff are thorough, kind, and professional. Dr. Yang explained all treatment options to us in a way that was easy for us to understand. My older son started out being treated by Dr. Holman, who was also excellent. We decided to stay with Dr. Yang after the first visit when it was clear that he is smart, professional, and thoughtful. Also, Sally is the best!

I have been a patient since 4th grade for braces and then invisiline — so 6 years of ortho treatment! I finished last week!!! Dr. Yang and his staff were very kind to me. My mom liked how efficient the office was and my appointments always went as planned. They told me if I wore my braces and invisiline very day then I would be done soon and I did and I even finished early!

I completed my braces treatment today after 5 years and 2 months. I actually started my treatment with Dr. Holman who was recommended by my regular dentist. Dr Yang took over the practice about 2 years into my treatment.
Initially, I was quite nervous with changing ship midway, but Dr. Yang quickly put a rest to all my concerns. He was always on top of my treatment, explained very well was being done and what changes/​progress to expect before the next step.
Surgery was recommended as part of my treatment. Dr. Yang was able to give me a very objective view as to the pros and cons of the surgical and non-​surgical approaches. While the final decision was mine, I felt I was able to trust the information he gave me.
During my treatment, I had a family emergency and was travelling for extended periods of time. I was not able to make it to several appointments over a period of around 8 months. I had communicated this to other office staff but along the way the message got lost and I was billed for several months without any significant improvement. Dr. Yang stepped up here and offered me a credit for several months. I really appreciated this gesture.
There are several other instances in which I received excellent treatment from Dr. Yang and his staff, whether Sally in billing, Tomas/​Anna in removing/​adding braces etc.
Overall, I am very very happy with my experience at Yang Orthodontics. I highly recommend them.

Update: Two stars b/​c the location is convenient, but that is it. The consultation for my daughter’s braces was free but once you are in the door they pressure sell the braces like it was going out of style. My husband and i felt very uncomfortable like at a car dealership. The orthodontist was aloof and not confident with his recommendation. I am pressing control-​alt-​delete on my search for an orthodontist.

Stephen runs a really nice practice. They are always friendly and the appointments always run on-​time. Best of all, he gives the kids great incentives to stay on track with their oral care, so they like caring care of their braces! My daughter got her braces off today and her teeth look great.

I am a General Dentist in Redwood City. I got a great impression about Dr. Yang from the good dental treatment our mutual patients received. Therefore, I chose Dr. Yang among other Orthodontics from the Bay Area to start my 7 year old daughter’s Orthodontic treatment. I feel glad to have chosen Dr. Yang. My daughter and I are extremely satisfied and impress with the immediate evolution in just one month. She looks great, and everyone complement her.
Dr. Yang is not only a competent and professional Doctor, but he is also a responsible and honest man. I would like to highlight that the staff members are very nice, and made me feel like home.
