This venue offered the easiest parking situation I’ve ever encountered at a triathlon. It was nice to be able to easily walk to the race from our car and not have to wait for a shuttle. Other family friendly amenities included a jumpy house for the kids, a bbq, and a very well run and somewhat entertaining kids triathlon that took place once the grown-ups race was complete and they were available to root the younger triathletes on. These races are starting to become more and more common at tri-events. I think this is a very savvy recruitment move on the part of the triathlon community.
