Schoenstein Physical Therapy

This would be my fifth physical therapist for many reasons. I absolutely love Shannon. She is compassionate but stern as to make sure you do your homework. The music is the office makes me what to sing the whole time.

I had an appointment with Kevin. I told him that certain techniques consistently in the past have caused me flare ups and repeatedly asked him to avoid them. But, he did it anyway and left me in a lot of pain. I contacted the office three days ago about it and never heard back.
Before I moved, I had a great physical therapist who was helping me overcome problems with my back. I had my records forwarded. I wish he would have paid more attention to what I and she said about my condition and treatment needs.

I think it is really difficult to find a really good PT provider. There are so many, and most of them are bad. Many of them try to churn you out as quickly as possible and juggle too many patients at the same time with not enough staff. They also have inexperienced assistants doing what the licensed PT should be doing. Sometimes the staff just doesn’t care enough to make sure you are doing your exercises correctly. Sometimes the administrative /​front desk staff is awful. That is not the case at Schoenstein.
Everyone that works here is so nice. George Schoenstein is the owner of this place and the physical therapist-​in-​chief. There are other therapists here (who are also good), but I think George is the best. He really knows what he is doing and has been doing this a long time. He is really hands-​on. I switched to Schoenstein from another place further away and did not realize how much the other place was lacking until after I started coming here. The staff here are far more professional and conscientious and make you feel like a valued patient.
George is also obsessed with jazz music and plays it all the time, and the whole place is decorated likewise. George is a funny and friendly guy, but most importantly, he is a great physical therapist.

Just had to update, George and the crew are fantastic and always go above and beyond the call of duty to help me get better.

I’d like to thank the «Schoenstein Physical Therapy Team» for all the work they did on my behalf. As you know, I had shoulder surgery in November of 2012, six months later my shoulder is fully recovered and I’m ready to fight fire again. It was a privilege to have such a dedicated team of professionals work on me. I love what you have going on in your business, I know that any team that operates at this level has great leadership; so you Mr. George Schoenstein deserve to be commended. Your team is outstanding and the results are self-​evident to any patient.
From the moment a patient walks through the door they are greeted with a big smile and a good morning or afternoon from Piroshka and/​or Sheila. You walk into the therapy room where there’s cool music playing and everyones chatting, or joking, or bantering back and forth about current events; but no matter what’s going on, one things for sure, everyone’s actively engaged in therapy; everyone looks up and says hello, you are invited into the conversation and your session begins. The atmosphere is absolutely awesome. George, Kevin, Brandon, Grace and Jennifer all work as a cohesive unit to give every patient the full measurer of each session. The synergy is palatable, it generates it’s own current, which in turn generates efficiency and effectiveness. I’m absolutely impressed with what you’ve got going on here. You can tell that the whole team is passionate about the work! So thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me to heal up and get back on the job. It’s time to go and finish this career I started 28 years ago, and do what I like doing best. .. Serve the people of San Mateo County!

I just want to say how much I appreciate the genuine concern and very thorough care I received from Malini Thadani, the only female therapist at Schoenstein P.T. Living with daily pain is exhausting (mine was in my neck, shoulder and arm) and in a matter of a couple of sessions I was on my way to feeling better.
Not only is she a woman and more tuned in to me as a fellow woman, but she also LISTENS to you! Super important in ANY stressful situation, especially concerning pain!
Bonus point: She treats in a private room!!!

If you have an injury, go to Schoenstein. Every single therapist at their clinic is top notch. They are all patient, have an upbeat and comforting demeanor and are unbelievably skilled. Rachel helped me so much with a scapular injury. George and Kevin were terrific when I was suffering with plantar fasciitis. They are all superb. Rachel also teaches a fabulous pilates class there that really gets your core in shape!

I cannot say enough good things about Schoenstein. I went for PT a lot of back and neck pain after being rear ended. I went twice a week for four weeks and the improvement is amazing. I have been doing the exercises George recommended at home as well and my pain is just about gone.
George is not only a great PT, but also a genuinely nice person who is friendly and a delight to chat with.
Laurie, the office manager, is fantastic at her job and also a delightful person.

I have been involved with other physical therapy groups but none better than the crew at Schoensteins. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with genuine concern and you get a positive feeling before you even start your therapy. I just want to say THANKS and keep up the good work.
