History

Established in 1996.

After earning my Esthetician License in 1993, I decided that I liked doing facials but, I LOVED doing makeup. After having my son in 1996, I started doing makeup for weddings on the side. It was a perfect set up… I could be home with him during the week and work for a couple hours on the weekends. I have been doing mostly bridal and event makeup ever since.

I LOVE doing makeup, the vibe of everyone getting ready and the excitement of the day.

After graduating high school waaaayyyy back in 1989 I decided I wanted to work as an Esthetician. I went to Skyline Cosmetology and fell in love with doing makeup.

After passing the California State Board of Cosmetology (I brought my grandma as my model :)) I started working as an Esthetician. In 1996 after getting married and having my son, I started freelance makeup work for Clinique… from there I got a few side jobs doing wedding work.

I have been doing make up ever since! Mostly weddings and events but, I have also done my share of fashion shows, photo shoots and films.

I can’t say enough good things about Kristen. She did makeup for may daughter and her girlfriends for Prom and everyone was so thrilled with her work. She came to our location with all of her gear, even a tall makeup chair. The girls enjoyed having their makeup done and looked gorgeous when she left, all ready for photos. Such a great way to start the Prom evening. She’s not only great at doing makeup, she’s punctual, organized and very professional. We were all very impressed and would recommend her for any events.

I was fortunate enough to have Kristen do my makeup for my recent wedding. She was amazing!!! Kristen talked with me about how I wanted my makeup done and made me feel comfortable. She began with airbrushing foundation on my skin and took her time applying all of my makeup, including lashes. My skin and eyes looked beautiful. I truly felt like I glowed on my wedding day and had so many compliments. Kristen also did my sisters’ makeup and everyone looked incredible. If could have Kristen do my makeup everyday, I would! She is awesome. If you are getting married or have a special event coming, book Kristen. She is so worth it!

Kristen is amazing! She did makeup for me and my friend, Roxy’s wedding party. She’s got her ENTIRE kit with her… super organized. The makeup jobs she did was beautiful. We all got so many compliments that entire day! HIGHLY HIGLY recommend Kristen. She’s fun, friendly, and she does an amazing job!

Kristen did my makeup for my son’s wedding — not to brag but guests said I looked «beautiful» and I chalk that up to Kristen and how happy I was that day. I went for a trial run in advance and we tried base that was airbrushed and base applied by hand. I went for the airbrush because it made my face flawless. I also got individually applied eyelashes because they really make your eyes pop. Kristen is a face artist and her prices are affordable maybe even underpriced. I say this because my daughter-​in-​law paid a lot more and I didn’t see much difference except that she is adorable and young and doesn’t nearly need as much help to look beautiful. I’d go to Kristen for any special event. For my job I sometimes do photo shoots and video and none of the makeup artists are close to Kristen. She’s a perfectionist and very sweet. For your wedding or special event go to Kristen-you’ll be beautiful too!

Kristen and I just worked on a high-​end fashion shoot in San Francisco. Not only was she incredible responsive to all the details of the shoot (3 models, various start times, different hair styling needs) but she showed up early and left late. She created looks for the models that were creative, polished and smokin’. She made MElook amazing because she made my models look magazine ready and seductive. As a photographer, I can’t stress enough the importance of beautiful make-​up. Kristen will make you look gorgeous…

Kristen did my make-​up for our 80’s wedding reception! It was offbeat and not your typical wedding ensemble. She did a fabulous job! She was able to come to my hair salon to do it. All the hairstylists were equally impressed with her skills. Some had never seen an airbrush used for foundation. The make-​up was wild and absolutely perfect for the occassion! I’ll post a pic soon…

Talent:
She did the bridesmaid and bride make up for my friend’s wedding (I was a bridesmaid) and I’ll just go ahead and say that WE LOOKED GORGEOUS. I’ve tried to bribe to her come to my house daily to fix my face up but to no avail.
Super Funny/​Great to be Around:
The typical stress level on a wedding day can be, um, a little high. She’s got a great sense of humor and a calm yet energizing vibe, so she took the stress out of the room. We laughed the whole time — I was happy to be wearing a pad. Yup, I said pad.
Ladies (and gentlemen — you know who you are), this is one gal I would recommend you call right now.

Kristen did my makeup for my wedding in May. She also did my mom, my sister, and my best friend. Everyone looked stunning. She was so good at doing a very glammed-​up but still real look. My best friend and mother are both pretty low-​maintenance in their usual look, and Kristen’s makeup set them off beautifully while still letting them feel like themselves. I felt like she made me look exactly like I wanted to look… my skin was perfect, glowing and stayed mostly shine-​free all night (and I danced the entire evening). She really played up my eyes and worked with me on all my nitpicky little preferences. I’m a makeup junkie and definitely know what I want. I felt radiant, confident, and like my most beautiful self. Kristen is fun, calm, and brings a great energy to the preparations. I felt like she had a knack for seeing people the way they want to see themselves, and for bringing that out. She made all four of us look beautiful AND individual. I highly, highly recommend her and think she did a beautiful job. Our pictures came out stunning, in all lights… inside, outside, black-​and-​white, whatever. She is truly talented and so much fun!
