There is a little churro stand in the parking lot that opens around 3PM: They have really good churros, for $ 1.50 each. I got one filled with caramel: It’s not made fresh to order, but it was probably made in the last few hours. Super crunchy style and very good.

Love’t! Hot tamales! Alfajores! Convenient! Nice people! Not expensive. Sometimes the produce is fresh and sometimes it needsta be thrown out. Ifya like churros, there’s a small trailer right outside. You can get Mexican cheeses, creams, or chorizo! Roasted peanuts, delivered Mexican bread, tortillas, & dried spices!

Low prices, pretty good quality of produce, though not the most selection(one variety of peach, orange, and tomato. I was looking forward to my white peaches & california navel oranges!). Got all my veggies and fruits for the week for $ 10.80. They take all credit cards, even Amex. Careful when pulling into their parking lot from El Camino! It’s a low dip, and even though I was going 10−15mph, the bottom of my front bumper scraped.

Fresh fruits and veggies… Love this place! You can leave with bags of stuff without spending a fortune. Great selection of Mexican cheese too! They are *my* go to mom n’ pop grocer.

for a small place, they have a ton of variety, including many peppers you won’t find except at larger groceries like mi pueblo. prices are incredibly low, as is typical for this type of store — i made a giant pot of six pepper relish for under $ 10. the habaneros alone would have been that much at whole foods. and as always pleases me, they laughed with me while i attempted forgotten spanish.

Good selection CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP but it’s just a bad parking situation. I always have to battle for a parking spot.

Over the weekend we learned that empanada dough is really hard to find… and we finally found it here(and not the first tienda latina we tried).

Fresh produce and great prices. They also carry a locally made brand of masa para tamales in 3 lb bags. They had both the preparada and the simple which can be hard to find. Parking is tough but if I’m in the area, I make a point to stop by.

Definitely a huge selection of unique produce you won’t find in your normal supermarkets. This place is totally bustling too so parking around the area is tight. However the co-worker and I came here for one reason: Paletas. They had a pretty good selection of them up front but they were about 60% the size of normal ones so I got two. Nance and Eggnog Nance is a weird tropical fruit( ), that actually had pits in them so I was eating and spitting every once and a while. The eggnog was self explanatory, super tasty and super fattening. The nutrition label said it was 29% of my saturated fat for the day. Yikes. Anyways, great little market with good produce and sweets!

Fresh produce, affordable prices. That’s what this place is all about. We go to El Mercadito once a week and load up on bananas, apples, oranges, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatos, potatoes etc. everything is fresh and cheap! Their parking is tiny though(enough room for 6 cars and this space is shared by multiple stores in the area) and you might have to drive around a while to grab a parking space. I live close by so I just walk there.

I was delighted to find plantains and assorted other produce at this Latin American market. You should absolutely check it out if you are looking for a hard-to-find spice or seasoning.

As soon as I fondled one of the huge, ripe platanos maduros out front alongside the lovely onions, tomatoes, and other produce, I knew I was gonna love this place. Great prices on a wide array of super-fresh produce, like brand-name sweet seedless mini watermelons for 1⁄3 the price at Safeway. They have every kind of chile and latino cooking ingredient this gringo mind can imagine and the staff are uniformly friendly and welcoming. I got some great queso fresco cut to order, and seasonings for tonight’s dinner.
