Creative AGI Shower Door & Mirror

We had our bathroom remodeled last year. We had AGI make us a fixed panel and a glass shower door with starphire glass and showerguard. The quality of the product and the professionalism of the staff was exceptional. The value for the cost was great, too.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that we have had trouble reaching them again. We had to have our tile redone due to something unrelated to the AGI product, and as a result we need a new shower door with different dimensions. We have reached out to them numerous times to get them to do the new glass (we loved the product) but no one has responded. If they call me back and we can get them to do the new glass, I will give them 5 stars.

Spoke with Russ before Thanksgiving about a job and he sent someone to my home to measure. They never followed up so I called them back twice and finally returns my call and acts like he has no idea regarding my job. Then has the nerve to ask me what I need and decides it is not worth his time and I will have to wait a few more weeks. Terrible customer service period. Would avoid if you want someone reputable that cares about their customers regardless of job size.

Called today because something is wrong with one of door hinges on shower enclosure originally installed by this company and we needed to have it fixed. Was put on hold twice and then was quickly brushed off since company is under new ownership/​management who apparently is doing too well to care about customer service. Was told they no longer serviced our area nor had records from original owners. Good to know not to recommend them to anybody else in the future.

Similar experience to the other posters. Made an appointment with Randy for an estimate for two shower doors. He never showed up and didnt call, wasting two hours in the middle of my day. I called their office and nobody knew where he was. No follow-​up call to apologize or reschedule either.

Wow! I had AGI instal 2 custom mirrors in my bathroom earlier this year and they did a great job. They measured one day and installed the next. Their quote was almost half the price of other quotes I got for the exact same thing.

We needed a glass top for our backyard wicker table. After calling around I found this shop with great reviews. Their estimate was great! They estimated delivery in 3 – 5 days, but called me the following day saying that my top is ready… Brought it in the same day and it is PERFECT!
Couldn’t be happier with everything: cost, customer service, responsiveness to my questions, turn around time. Highly recommend!!!

Just put in the shower door in our master bath on ½/​2014.

Apparently customers love them so making an appointment can take some time, but once that is done you are on your way. Russ shows up on time, introduces options, give suggestions and you are pretty much all set except hardware selections.
Hardware selection can be challenging as the pictures on the website does not always present the best result. Fortunately Birnie is there to help. I selected a hinge due to its appearance but it is not for my application. Russ suggested another one but I thought it looked different even though it looks same but just smaller.
I was puzzled and frustrated and did not believe Russ and was worried the hinge is not what we wanted. Birnie was there to help. He was very patient and spent time explaining the hinges and their sizes, appearances and applications. He ensured that the one we ordered look just like the one I picked but just smaller so it fits my application best (not a over kill).
In the end everything is perfect. There was little bit of water on the floor after the first use but the did not appear again afterwards.

Just had my new shower doors put in this week. Love them! We’ve used them twice now for our shower doors and they’ve done a great job. They’re also quick with their turnaround time. Would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks AGI.

Our tub shower in our new place in San Francisco that we just moved into has this swinging glass door that only covers ²⁄₃ of the shower stall. It creates a wet mess on the floor next to the toilet whenever we take a shower and it was going to get worse if we install a rainshower head to complement the handshower. We looked around for a local company to install a 39″ x 21″ fixed glass but we found this web-​friendly company from Redwood City (where we used to live) that we thought could do a good job based on the reviews. It’s a small job and they are all the way in the peninsula so we thought they wouldn’t even bother to take the job but surprised they did.
AGI came out to do the measurements then gave us a quote we can’t refuse so we hired them to do the job. At first the quote was wrong because I noticed that Jeff quoted us a ½″ thk glass instead of 3/​8″ thk. We went back and forth with our emails with the measurements and quotes. We conformed to their availability by having the installation scheduled on a weekday and be the first installation of the day by agreeing for them to come out the next day at their earliest convenience of 8:30am. So far communication was excellent, They were very responsive.
The time came and there was no installer… no call and no show. My partner called twice already but both times he reached the voicemail and they never called him back. He called me past 10am telling me what happened and that he’s leaving to get to work. So I called and got a live person to answer after 2 rings. I asked them what happened and this guy says that the installer was sick and that he thought Jeff has called their customers regarding the situation. I told the guy who answered the phone to call my partner’s cell number which was the one on file and also gave him the number to make sure he calls and explain what happened. So my partner was at work already and he called me saying that he called again for a 3^rd time, got the voicemail and never got a call back. We thought that was very strange so I emailed Jeff telling him what has happened and to explain why we never got a call regarding the no show. I was suspicious and asked my partner if he had been using his cell phone to call and they just keep forwarding his number to voice mail so I instructed him to use his office phone to call. Sure enough, they picked up the phone right away. He asked what happened and they gave him the same spiel I got from them but they never apologized. He re-​scheduled for next day. I also never received a reply back from Jeff, no email apologies.
I figured that they realized the job was too small for them to bother and they thought that if they never showed up and ignore our calls, maybe we’ll just write them off and go away to have someone else do the job. The communication was doing great until the day of installation. The treatment we received from AGI was totally unprofessional. I was going to give them 2 stars because they did install the glass panel and it was a good installation job but because I can’t recommend them (they seem to have a problem calling back) and after doing this review and reminded myself of that day, I can only give them a 1 star. If your project is too small and you live far you will be treated as 2^nd class customer for they will not make much money from you so I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

These guys are great. Good pricing and good product. Jeff, the owner, come out and measured for a bunch of shower glass and mirrors for us, gave good suggestions on options and followed up well. I was not under any particular schedule pressure so their somewhat relaxed approach worked fine for me – I can’t speak to situations where there is a demanding deadline. Have continued to use them for other work since my initial experience and remain very happy with them.

We had an outstanding experience with Jeff of AGI. Came out when he said he would, on time. Measured. Offered options for trim. Understood what we wanted. Made suggestions. Knowledgeable, professional. Meet our requirements. Offered excellent customer service. Even stayed and fixed up a problem in another part of the house not related to the remodel. An all around great guy.

Installed internal glass office door. Awesome work. Great price. Highly recommend.

Just had AGI do another job for me (mirrors this time). Once again they did not disappoint. Showed up when they said, good quality and good price again.

I had them install several mirrors in my house, including a seven foot mirror. There were outstanding, reliable, honest, competent, and with good prices. The installers were incredible. I placed multiple orders and they performed flawlessly every time. I dealt with Jeff about placing the order and he gave me honest and knowledgeable advice. I highly recommend them. I am giving their name to my friends. I did not use them for the showers because I had already used another company before I found AGI. However, their shower price was excellent, but it was too late for me.

This is the second time I’ve used AGI Shower for my home remodels and they are still great. Their prices are very good and their workmanship is excellent. They also take good care of your house and don’t leave a big mess for you to clean up. We had glass shower doors and custom mirrors installed in all of our bathrooms. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful customer service, wonderful high quality product, wonderful installation… I ordered a custom frameless shower enclosure and two large bathroom mirrors, all excellent and competitively priced. Professional and timely. Highly recommend.

I’ve been meaning to review this contractor as they were our favorite contractor during our extensive house remodel. They had fantastic customer service — due to the way our house was shaped, they even redid the custom glass piece (since it wouldn’t fit into my tight space) at no charge. We did shower doors, mirrors, shelves, cabinet doors, etc.
Best of all, their prices were amazingly low — lower than all the other quotes we requested. Recommend without reservation.

Our shower doors and the half glass wall they installed are beautiful! We had no problems at all with customer service, installation, measurements, etc. They came over at first to do initial measurements to get us a quote, then they came back once everything was tiled and ready to do final measurements, and came back earlier than expected (woohoo!) to install. I really cannot believe how great it looks. The glass door and wall really take our bathroom up a notch. We’re going to order our absolutely humongous mirror from them to finish up the bathroom… in fact, they’re coming over today to do the measurements!

I needed a custom mirror for our master bathroom and AGI had it ready in less than 4 hours. I took one star away because no one ever called me back after I left my name and number with the very pleasant receptionist. I had to call back to follow up — but had my mirror the same day.

Really BAD service. The owner, Russ, showed up to take our measurements and give us a quote. He told me we’d have a quote sent to us by email that very same evening, if not the following morning. Five, count them…5 business days later, I had to call to follow up on my quote. When we accepted the quote, he replied that he’d have to come back to our house to get specific measurements. I have no idea why he didn’t do that on his first visit. I followed up to make an appointment and communicated my frustration with his unprofessionalism and delays. At that point, he told me to take my business elsewhere. We all should.
