Applebee’s

Horrible service. We watched the servers and a manager chat with the regulars and watch the game while we waited. .. and waited. .. and waited. People were waiting in the lobby to be seated and I have no idea why, there were empty tables all around the restaurant.
The steak was cooked well, but the fancy side dishes were poorly prepared and lukewarm at best — the plate was warmer than the green beans! And I’ve never seen an Asian salad dressing that was thick and white.
This location is really bad, and it’s sad because I’ve had some really good meals at other Applebee’s locations.

The service was terrible. We were first in the list but the ladies preferred the big party on the bottom of the than first ones that are smaller. I work in restaurants and the clients sit down in order, not choosing the big parties. The manager needs to know that in important days, he needs to add more employees.

So terrible. I am only giving it 1 stars because of the affordability. My friend and I went here for dinner. We waited for over 30 minutes at our table with not one person stopping to help us. The hostess looked frazzled and said she would try to help. But then forgot us. Finally we flag down another guy and he takes our order despite being assigned to the other side of the restaurant. And then we didn’t hear from him for another 10 min when he told us someone else would be taking over. Our food finally got there and it was cold! I had to send it back!
We looked for a manager or anyone that was in charge and never saw a glimpse of him/​her. This is the 2^nd time in a row where our experience was terrible. They seem low staffed and not equipped to handle crowds. The food is very affordable but not worth it.

Disgusting, my Chx was extremely raw inside. I ordered curbside will be calling to get my money back.

Half of our table got food about 10 minutes before the other half, we had not even gotten our drinks at that time so we were a bit annoyed. We had not seen the waiter at all during this time.
When the rest of us got food mine was room temp when it should have been at least warm, and it was overcooked. Was pretty disappointed with the meal too, but everyone else liked their food. I had a burger, not sure what I was expecting.
Overall it was a really weird dining experience. Idk if we upset the waiter before hand and he gave us crappy service because if it or if they treat all of their customers like that, but I won’t be returning to that establishment.

We ordered by phone for curbside pickup and just about everything was wrong: the 2 classics had no lettuce, tomato, or pickles and both had cheese even though we ordered one without cheese. The chicken strips were ordered with a baked potato but we got it with fries. The only thing right was the cheeseburger egg rolls. We will not go to Applebee’s again.

I would rate this place a zero if I could. Came here a few months back and had a waitress that always forgot what we requested. Had to ask her for the same thing multiple times. She never checked on us.
I’m thinking, «maybe it was just her.»
Came back here today. There were 3 employees standing with their back against the entrance. 2 of us and my baby approached the desk and stood there for almost 2 damn minutes waiting to be acknowledged! The service here is terrible!
I really like the food at Applebee’s but it’s hard to enjoy it when I can’t wash it down with a refill (if I could do it myself I would lol smdh)

Don’t go to this place. Service is horrible. We got seated and after 15 minutes of waiting. Not greeted once by the 6 servers walking by us. No one came by to take our drink order, other people were being greeted and served that sat down after us. A server walked by to the table next to us and I asked if there was a server for our table and with attitude she said «let’s me check» under her breath. Waited another 5 minutes… Still nothing. 20 minutes of waiting with no acknowledgment, so we got up and left. As we walked by 5 servers standing by the front talking to each other and goofing off.
We only went there to watch the game while eating, tvs are too small.
There is no management there I guess to make sure the place makes money. It was super dead in there too.

It suck!!! Food was terrible dry steak dry chicken. Very slow service got our order wrong and them they were out something in the menu. My family and I will never go there again and I don’t recommend anyone to go. I don’t understand how a place like this can still be open. 0 STARS!!!

Went here for mothers day dinner it was slow only waited 5 mins or less to be seated. Our waitress did not properly greet us did not even let us finish ordering desserts. Left for the day before brining our drinks to go didn’t even say by. The person who brought our food dropped my daughters food. Another waitress came and gave us our check and didn’t know we had drinks a manager brought the drinks didnt greet us and they were not to go like we asked. Had to ask for out drinks 5 times. For my first time going to apple bees the service was Horrible! And the people are rude and have no customer service skills! Only one that was nice was the African American waitress who worked at fridays previously!

Under staffed poor service, staff had bad attitude, and food was not very good, my mother in law is handicapped and they were not very accommodating

I just want to take this time to say how great the food was but of course I didn’t eat anything. My passenger did. I feel like I missed out but I wasn’t hungry at the moment. But the actual reason for this 5 star rating was because of a new employee. Her name is Sophia as I recall. She’s an awesome server. She new the answer to every question and she was always there to see if we needed anything. Thanks to her, I had a great experience at the restaurant. Thanks a lot for everything.

This was the worst experience! The waiter was incredibly rude, and never came back to check on us after he delivered our meals and you forgot a side order that we wanted. I will never ever come back here! Applebee’s is like Denny’s with a bar.

Besides the good bartender Renee. There is no saving this place. Terrible service, had to get up and get my own drink after 10 min. Spoke to manager about it, he’s a joke too. It’s just low prices with crappy food. Don’t expect anything but low prices and even lower budget.
I will never go back again.

Takes forever to seat people & waiters are slow at times. However the food is delicious & they even have tv’s with games to keep people entertained.

This was my first time ever in a Applebee’s. To be honest we just went there because it was conveniently located and we needed something simple to eat.
Eating at Applebee’s is no fast food in any way possible. I understand that they don’t even try to be fast food.
I had a variation of the sample menu with a side of vegetables instead of food from that list. The chicken wings were very tasty, the vegetables good and the meat balls did their job to fight my hunger.
I enjoyed the little screen on the table with the various games :-).

What a terrible experience, waitress came to our table 20 minutes after we were sat down, brought our drinks which was just WATER 20 minutes late and when they brought our food, they brought half the actual order; lady apologized for the missing food and said they’ll promptly bring them, guess what? She NEVER came back, not even to ask if we needed something. I’m sorry but by far the worst experience I’ve had in a while.

We visited 12÷30÷15 after 11 p.m. because we were hungry and nothing other than IHop was open. As we sat at the bar, I noticed two homeless men sitting directly across from us at the bar. Oh boy. The Rose inner-​conflict began immediately. One was drinking soda, and the other was drinking a beer. Within about ten minutes of our arrival, the one drinking soda fell asleep at the bar. The manager came behind the bar and smacked on the bar, telling him to sit up, he could not sleep at the bar. He did not sit up, so she raised her voice a bit and told him he could not sleep at the bar, he was going to have to tab out and leave if he wanted to sleep. He finally sat up.
Fast forward to about fifteen minutes later. A lone guy at the end of the bar who had been waiting for his to-​go order rudely and loudly confronted the manager for how she spoke to the man about sleeping at the bar. This vigilante social policeman obviously had ZERO respect for women and talked to the manager as if she were a naughty three-​year-​old. I guarantee he would not have spoken to a male manager that way. She stood her ground, told him she had a business to run, and when he continued to harass her and make a LOUD scene, she told him he would not be served there anymore. It got really ugly and continued for several minutes, really ruining our entire experience.
Should someone be allowed to sleep at bar? Nope. Not even at the diviest of establishments. Should the manager have smacked the bar and raised her voice? Probably not, but she is right; she has a business to run, and the guy did not respond the first couple of times she told him he couldn’t sleep there. This extensive description is somewhat in case the vigilante social policeman actually DOES call headquarters and report this manager. She was absolutely correct in her actions with both of these men, in my opinion.
That aside, let’s talk about the food and service for us. Very pleasant bartender. Food was OK. I got a couple of half price appetizers, and I wish I would have known the pretzels were deep fried churro-​type grossness, as I would not have ordered them. The beer cheese dip was delicious, though. The cilantro lime chicken quesadilla was delicious and very worth the half price. BF’s chicken sandwich came on buttered texas toast, which he could not eat, so he had to order some dry toast and remake his own sandwich. He said it was otherwise pretty good, though.
Well, Redwood City does not offer a lot of late-​night food options if you want to sit down and have some drinks with dinner. I am guessing I would not witness a similar scene at the bar if we returned, but I admired the way the manager handled this. That, along with the good service WE received would prompt me to return if hungry after 11 pm.

Figure this is a quick place to come for dinner with the family. We used to love coming here when it first happened. The service has quickly declined. Where should I start… The 3 girls standing at the front door talking? Our waitress forgetting my drink after ordering it twice. Me having to walk up to the bar to ask for water because everyone’s at the bar talking to each other. Or the manager at the bar tables talking to a couple while I’m waiting there for my water. I could understand if it was really busy but there was maybe 10 families in the whole establishment. (And that’s on a high guess). Long story short, I don’t think I’ll be back here anytime soon

I came to this place to eat with my friends today. Let us tell you about our experience.
1.the food took almost an hour to be ready.
The maple bacon chicken wrap was okay but the chips were not fried the whole way and some were just to burnt. The milkshake was okay. The burger had crusty, toasted, and blackened cheese on the party.
