I showed up at 9 am. The place opened on time. Damien was a pleasure to talk cars with as he performed the smog check. He made sure he conducted the test legally, yet he clearly cared about the results.

On thursday made appt for a smog check on Saturday at 8:30 am. They had my phone numbers and the date and time were on the work order. Showed up at that time and was told they would not be in till 10:00 am. Avoid this place there are others around that have coupons

Great place to have your car smogged, they do a great job for a super low price $ 39 before other fees, about $ 50 for OBDII and $ 60 for ODBI vehicles as a final cost. Andy the Service Tech is very friendly !

I am someone that falls between my love for a good deal and willingness to pay any price for good quality.
Finding a mechanic can be difficult to meet both these opposing needs and I think I’ve found it here in Redwood City at 76 Auto Care.
It’s nothing fancy but I honestly believe the owner/​mechanic, Tuan, is a very trust worthy guy who gives you his best. He’s also cheaper than most.
I moved here in Dec 2007 and after 2 horrible mechanics I found this place. I have since gone for all my smog checks /​oil and transmission fluid changes /​car repairs. And each time he has been very generous and helpful.
I give him 5 stars for his honesty over anything. To me, that is the most important value a mechanic can have.
