Three Rivers Day Spa

My mom and I came here one day and I absolutely love this place. It was our first time going to a spa and let me tell you, the customer service is on point & the girls are all so sweet. I’ll never stop coming here. Shout out to Christina, Ana& Charity! Love y’all for making my skin beautiful.

I went in yesterday for their special 1 hr massage and facial I was very pleased with the staff they made me feel very comfortable. I had Michelle for my massage she was great and Corrine for my facial she is very honest and detailed. I was very happy with this little gem.

Yesterday, my girlfriend came into Three Rivers Spa for a lipo trial and body wrap. She and I noticed a difference right away. Michelle did a great job and is very professional at what she does. She and I will be returning for more treatments in the future.

My massage with Michelle topped any massage I’ve ever gotten in NYC! I have never felt so relaxed! I also could not believe the difference in my face after her acupuncture facial! She is terrific and so sweet! The staff was so welcoming. Chastity that runs the spa is a doll. I really enjoyed my time there. This spa is a must visit if you live in the area or have the chance to visit! I will be back the next chance I get!

I did not enjoy my treatment at all, and did not see positive effects, but that’s not the reason for my one star. There are two reasons I would rate it so low. Primarily, the ultrasound portion of the facial treatment was so loud that it hurt my ears. I mean that it damaged my hearing. The ultrasound treatment was so loud that I asked for earplugs and was told that they don’t have them and I don’t need them. I I could only continue a short while longer until I asked her to stop. From that moment, the ringing in my ears was continuous for three days afterward. In case you are wondering, I have never had this issue with other ultrasounds, and I do not have Meniere’s disease or tinnitus. I am familiar with ear damage from my line of work and it was terrifying. I still have periodic ringing in my ears subsequent to this treatment.
The second dislike is because I got the hard sell for many upgrades and return treatments.
This was a thoroughly unpleasant experience with many unfortunate lasting effects.

I had the nonsurgical lifting procedure with Amber. I’ve been to numerous skincare places but this place is one of the best. Amber is very knowledgeable about what she does and having a nursing background is definitely a strong plus! She really takes time to thoroughly explain each step she performs. In addition, she suggests preventive measures to improve your skin depending on your skin type. I am very excited to go back for another facial in two weeks!

I am so glad I know an esthetician I can trust. Amber is a friendly and caring person who is also very knowledgeable and professional. With her nursing background, she explained thoroughly how each product/​procedure will affect my skin. It was a very pleasant and soothing experience.

I was really skeptical and scared to have a noninvasive face lift done but Amber put me at ease. She explained what would happen during the procedure and she made sure I felt comfortable after each step. adjusted her technique to accommodate my skin sensitivity. She was very knowledgeable which makes sense because she has a nursing background. After she was done, she recommended a collagen product to increase the muscle tone/​tissue of my face. I was a little hesitant at first but she explained thoroughly why I should use the product. I am so glad I did because it has helped dramatically extend the benefits of the face lift. Everyone was great there but I would definitely go back and use Amber again. Its very rare to find someone who is trained as both an esthetician and a nurse.

I got my facial from Amber who also happens to be a nurse! Uhhhh… win-​win! So we talked about this and that and I basically walked out with a clean face and more knowledge on how to take care of my skin. what to eat to maintain glowing skin! Cucumbers for hydration, etc etc :) She’s very knowledgable in this profession. She also has a soft, melodious voice that’s not too loud and has a nice personality so I had a pleasant experience! Next appointment, I want to get peeling so my acne scars start disappear… which she already explained the whole process to me. Thanks for taking care of my skin, Amber! You’re the best!!!

After the snafu at Three Rivers, Mark (owner) reached out to me to apologize for the staff. He was nothing but polite and understanding, I gave another star just for him.
If you haven’t tried this spa. definitely give it a go, the owner is top notch. They are doing some pretty great deals right now.

This place is hidden away but WOW do they know how to take care of you. They are really making forever customers one person at a time. If you discover this spot you will Never regret it. I love the reviews here because thats exactly how I feel. They are great for all types of people. Ones who know a spa and those new to it. The friendly attitude is just fantastic. I cannot wait to go back!

I’ve been here twice and I must say, I really enjoy getting a full body massage here! If you’re ever in need of a place to unwind and untangle some knots on your back, then come and check this place out. Make sure you ask for Cherish as your massage therapist! She’s very professional and amazing at what she does!
Price (s): they always have promotions and deals, so you really can’t beat their pricing. The manager of this place is very accommodating to meet your needs and appointment dates.

Got an awesome massage from Devon &the best foot scrub from Monika. The ambiance is great, the décor is beautiful. definitely coming back to Three Rivers massage & spa.

Time to Spa. OMG that was a Vip treat at the Three Rivers Massage & Spa on Avenue I in RB. Went there for a non-​surgical face lift with Imelda. I felt really pampared. When it was done my skin looked amazing with that sense of renew and softness. Then I was offered half hour foot massage with Monika and I just loved it. Thank you Mark you are a «walking heart». this place is soooooo relaxing. its neat, clean & staff was super friendly. when I walked in the staff greeted me hello & offered me a drink right away. she even suggested I park my car at the underground parking since I wasnt familiar w/​the place. it was a relaxing treatment. soothing music, cool air & very clean facility. They have discounted prices! with everything so expensive, its nice to know you can fight high quality spa service with affordable prices! I will for sure come back!

YES! I am so glad I had a positive experience here! Especially since there was like one review when I decided to book an appointment.
So this spa is really new, and if you look at their website, their prices are luxury resort prices that aren’t exactly affordable when you’re in college and mostly living off your parents, who are already paying a butt-​ton for USC and safe housing in da h00d. BUT no one ever pays that much for their services from what I can tell– they are on virtually every single coupon website: Groupon, Lifebooker, MyTime, etc. They even have a specials page on their website too.
I booked a $ 25 facial on MyTime and got $ 6 from MyTime, so I ended up paying only $ 19. MyTime lists the $ 25 facials as all day Tuesday-​Thursday, but Three Rivers has «happy hour» which has the same deal with no specific dates/​times. The manager told me it’s generally Thursday-​Saturday. Considering this spa is only open Tuesday-​Saturday, you can basically get a $ 25 facial at any time. They also have great deals on their other services; I bought a $ 29 massage on Lifebooker Loot and can’t wait to go back and try it out when school starts stressing me out in a few weeks. To be completely honest, I really think the insane «prices» on their service menu are just for show AKA «look at the deal you’re getting!» but whatever, as long as I’m paying $ 25.
Now onto the actual facial:
I had a really sweet girl named Nirvana (equally sweet name). Nirvana just graduated from aesthetician school a year ago, but you wouldn’t be able to tell. She is awesome! Granted, I didn’t really have any advanced facial, but I don’t ever plan on having anything difficult (I get facials for upkeep and relaxation rather than for problem skin… thank you Asian genetics). I was a little nervous at first because everything I read online was for Christina, but Nirvana did such a great job. I had my wisdom teeth out last week and one side of my face is still a little bruised and swollen and that’s the main reason why I got a facial today to begin with (massage, circulation, etc.). I told her to be a little gentle and she never forgot. I also told her about how my shoulders are always tense and she gave the best shoulder-​focused massage rather than a face-​focused massage. When it came time for the mask, instead of leaving the room or sitting and playing with her phone, she gave me another trapezius massage. HEAVEN (or NIRVANA hehe). Afterwards, my skin felt so hydrated and smooth and I was all sorts of glowing. My cheek also went a little more back to normal!
Tips:
— I found it kinda chilly in the room and didn’t realize until after it was coming from the fan… so if you’re cold, ask them to turn the fan off
— Ample parking underground and it’s free and easy… but if you’re driving fast, you’re totally going to miss it.
— The address numbers go towards zero as you go down Avenue I… I didn’t know that and was sitting in the parking lot of their neighbors super confused (hence the lateness)
— Don’t tip 15−20% on the discount price. Do it on the full price if money isn’t an issue for you, but if you are on a budget, still tip at least 50% of the discount price (kinda like those $ 20/​hour Chinese foot massage places).
A couple things I think they can work on (though I won’t dock them for it… they’re new and this was a STEAL):
— My facial from cleanse to moisturize was actually 50 minutes rather than 60. I did show up a couple minutes late and it took a while to fill out my forms, but I wish they had told me it wasn’t going to be the full 60. But to their credit, they didn’t end it when my appointment was supposed to end, which they could have totally done since I was late. We’ll see how it goes next time.
— I could hear laughter coming from outside multiple times throughout the facial, even over the loud-​ish calming music. Maybe the staff just isn’t aware of how the sound carries in that building yet.
— I hate when the aesthetician leaves the room, but Nirvana had to multiple times to either get certain things or put them away. If it’s a hot water issue, hopefully there’s a way to remedy it.
— I wasn’t offered extractions. Granted, my skin my looks fine to the naked eye, but it would have been nice to have it offered or my pores examined for it considering I received a «DEEP CLEANSING» facial with my MyTime booking.
Anyways, the pros definitely outweighed the cons. My experience was probably more like a 4.5 today just because of what I listed above, but I’m still giving them 5 stars because the price was unbeatable. I will be coming back every month for their happy hour facial and recommending it to everyone who will listen. I intern in Hermosa Beach and live in DTLA, but even if I didn’t work in the South Bay, I’d totally drive the hour in traffic and the hour back to get this deal!
Bottom line: Book an appointment NOW, you won’t regret it and neither will your wallet! I hope they start opening on Mondays, when I need a pick-​me-​up the most!

I was on vacation with my sister and just happened upon this spa. What a great discovery!!! It was one of the most pleasurable experiences I’ve had. You have to visit if you’re in the area. The staff is friendly, the place is inviting (and near the beach and pier) and the services (body and foot massage) wonderful. We were a walk-​in and they accommodated us and stayed late-doesn’t get more personal than that.

This place is amazing, the people are real nice and seem very educated with all their products. pleased with the out come, leaves you feeling refreshed and confident. My esthetician was christina. I am glad I was assigned to her, she made me feel comfortable and that’s very important for someone like me who’s shy about talking about their skin problems.
Overall I’d say great success!
