We are a small boutique orthodontic practice located in the heart of the Riviera Village. Our mission is to provide the highest quality treatment in a patient focused practice, with exceptional customer service and attention to detail. We offer traditional metal braces, clear ceramic braces, and self-​ligating braces, all for one flat fee. We do not believe in charging you extra if you would like to minimize the appearance of your braces, or if you would like the very best appliances available today. The doctor is also an experienced Invisalign Provider.

We look forward to helping you attain a healthy, beautiful smile while also giving you the most value for your hard-​earned money. We pride ourselves on not running our practice like an assembly line. We don’t think that’s fair to our patients given the investment in time and money that they are making, and the trust they place in us with their well being. History

Established in 2013.

After working for other offices for several years, Dr. Bakhtari kept a mental note of everything that was positive and of benefit to patients, as well as a list of everything that did not work and was frustrating to both staff and patients. In 2013, he opened his own orthodontic practice with this unique perspective in mind. At Riviera Orthodontics our patients enjoy a clean, comfortable office that uses top of the line materials, respects their time, and does not overbook the schedule. Our goal is to make you happy — pure and simple.

Business Owner

Arash Bakhtari, DDS, MS, MPH

Arash Bakhtari is a South Bay native. He graduated from Mira Costa High School and earned his undergraduate degree from UC Irvine. Dr. Bakhtari received his DDS from the University of Southern California, and his MS and Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee. Before enrolling in dental school, he also earned an MPH degree from the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

Dr. Bakhtari has been in private practice since 2006. His practice philosophy is on the conservative side; he does not like to do early treatment or remove permanent teeth unless it is absolutely necessary. He is well trained in traditional metal and ceramic braces, self-​ligating braces, and is a highly experienced Invisalign® Provider. Dr. Bakhtari regularly takes continuing education classes so that he can treat you with the very best techniques and materials available.
