We had 11 windows replaced yesterday by Renewal by Anderson. I can’t believe they did it in one day, but are so happy they did. The windows look great. Even our neighbors were coming by to admire them. They cleaned up the house after themselves. We had a very good experience and would recommend them to everyone.

My husband and I are very pleased with our new Anderson Doors and Windows. They are performing exactly as promised by the representative, Josh, and are really improving the quality of our home life. They have reduced the noise we were experiencing from neighboring homes and automobiles and they have reduced the amount of cold air, hot air and dust that was coming into the house, thereby making it more comfortable, clean and energy efficient.
Our project was a relatively large one encompassing the replacement of five sets of french doors, two single doors, 10 casement windows and two giant bay windows; needless to say, I was looking forward to their arrival but dreading their installation. I feared the worst in terms of measurement and fit as original windows were thirty-​five years old and custom-​made. But Greg and Mike did an outstanding job of measuring accurately. My trepidation as relates to the installation was entirely unwarranted as the process was far less invasive than I imagined it would be. There was very little noise, dust, dirt, debris or the usual aggravations associated with any remodeling project. This was due in large part to the professionalism and competence of the installation crew, supervised by the very pleasant Rafael and his colleague, Matios. The crew was courteous, careful, knowledgeable, solicitous and helpful: every single Anderson employee who worked at my home was a pleasure to have here. I should also mention that they very kindly, and with no complaint, put up with a simultaneous tile floor removal and wooden floor installation project that was noisy, disruptive and somewhat in their way.
I have had many horror story remodeling adventures so I am not a novice in this area and I have to say that my faith in the process has been completely restored thanks to the very high quality of customer service and craftsmanship of the crew sent to us by Anderson Renewal of Redondo Beach. My heartfelt thanks to all of you.

Our project was very challenging in many respects. Two of the trapezoid windows were the maximum size the company makes. We replaced a total of 10 windows. The installation required detailed workmanship by the crew in removing and adjusting the surrounding trim to accommodate the new windows. Scaffolding was required both inside and out in order to reach the 2^nd-​story A-​frame location. The installers were courteous and skillful, taking care to make sure we were satisfied with every aspect of the work. They took care to cover what needed to be covered and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. When the windows later reflected smudges and streaks that appeared in direct sunlight after the work was completed, the production manager came out personally to assess the situation and assure us that the problem would be resolved to our satisfaction. This was accomplished after additional thorough cleaning.
As mentioned in other reviews, yes, the initial consultation with the salesman was time consuming and irrelevant at times, but they do tell you up front that they want to spend an hour with you before they come out. Yes, the windows are quite expensive. Yes, mistakes can be made, along with the frustration that goes with fixing the mistake. But at the end of the day, we feel confident that we have invested in a superior product with a solid warranty that has already proven its value in improved insulation in our home. We could not be happier with the considerate and professional service provided by the team who worked on our project and recommend Renewal by Anderson for your next window replacement job.

I usually do not write reviews but I really have to give credit where credit is due because Isaiah Hernandez and Kerwin Carino went beyond the call of duty to get the job done and because of this I am extremely grateful and wanted to share. I had windows installed however because there was a part of the window that was a bit shorter, Kewin and Isaiah put their minds together, went to get a piece of wood and made up for the deficit in the molding and my windows look EXCELLENT! I cannot say enough about the professionalism and service! I was blown away that they would take the time to go beyond the call of duty in a world that is so quick to be in and out and on to the next, they really made sure that the job was done properly and with that said, not only would I recommend them, I wanted to say a big thank you! Paid to have all windows in house replaced. First off we were told there would be two crews coming out to get the work done in two days. One crew showed up on time and began doing work resizing a window. They took the time to cover everything with plastic and answered any questions we had. The other crew showed up later. Which was no problem with us. They were the crew that were replacing all other windows in the house. We were told there was a quitting time when they would stop all work and return the next day.
They pulled down all blinds in the house to do the install. Left them on the floor and on top of our new couches which were not covered. Quitting time came around and the first crew cleaned up and told us they would be back the next day. The other crew how ever continued working until they finished which was very late. During that time they shattered our bay window. Which I understood, things like this happen. But when removing the broken glass they knocked it all in and it damaged our wooden frame that was around the bay window. We did not notice it at the time because they were working. After all windows were installed the installer I believe his name was Lee, walked us through the work complete. At which time we asked if they were going to install all the custom blinds they had unscrewed and pulled off which were still on the floor while he was doing the walk through of the work. Also we noticed a lot of the windows were dirty. They had cocking on the glass and we had to point that out to him also and ask him to clean it. We also noticed one of the Windows had scratches on it. They schedule to have that one replaced. When he was showing us the bay window we noticed the damage. When we pointed it out to him he said he would fix it for us and left his number for us to call. After multiple calls and no response we tried calling the main offices leaving multiple voice mails with different people and still no calls back from anyone. The second crew that stood late seemed like they were being rushed to complete work that day. Which was unfortunate for us. Causing damage to our home and not giving us the great job promised during the sale. They bring you a bunch of letters and we are told they are written by satisfied customers. I am wishing I checked their rating on Unilocal first before investing so much money in these windows installed by this company.

I had casement windows installed in my home in Hermosa Beach. I absolutely love the high quality of the product and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband made the mistake of letting these people talk him into having someone come out and give an estimate at a local festival. These people are absolutely awful. We received over 15 calls in less than a 24 hour time period. It is harassment. This company needs to get a clue. If someone doesn’t answer the first time, STOP calling.

Had 4 vinyl windows replaced and a large dinning room solid oak door replaced with a double pained slider. Also had my back door, which other companies said they could not change the door out for me because it opens out not in. Andersen came out and gave me a demo on their double pain glass, and so, decided to have the doors changed out. I wasn’t going to do my windows, because they were only put in 8 years ago. But when I was cleaning some of my windows, I found the seals between the glass panes was starting to bulge in, which meant I would soon be getting moister in between the double glass, also, they were warping and had trouble locking them. Had all the windows in my home changed to vinyl. So decided to call Marc Lewis back, and had him come back out to give me a price on new windows. Yes, they are expensive, but my vinyl windows were not cheap either, so I bit my lip, and decided to go with a better window and so far I am very happy with the product, the install, and all the guys who worked on the install, customer service was great, they always called to tell me when they would be out, and they were always on time. I read some Unilocal,and see people say they only want to spend $ 3,000 to $ 5,000 for new windows, all I can say from my experience is «you get what you pay for» thank you everyone at Andersen’s you all did a great job! And yes, my areas where the sun shines in the most, is much cooler, I do not get that heat coming in through the glass anymore.

Today we had 13 windows replaced and were absolutely delighted with the finished product. In addition the entire job was completed in one day by a crew of four exceptional, courteous, and efficient installers. By the time they finished, the only evidence that they were there were the new windows. Everything that was moved was put back into place and all debris of any kind was cleaned up and removed.
As long as the windows perform as expected we will be delighted. At this point we would recommend Andersen to anyone!

Installation of the windows in my Manhattan Beach home was challenging in that the workers had to go up three flights of steps to install the windows. They never complained and were incredibly polite. They each introduced themselves when they came in. We completely restyled the windows so it was not a retrofit but more a «new construction» installation. The finished product was as expected. They placed protective covering on the floors and took care coming and going with heavy windows and equipment. They delivered ON TIME which is refreshing. Anything that was not perfect they pointed out to me and either fixed or replaced. I had one window completely removed and filled in and the final product is that you can’t even see where it was. I just order three more windows for additional rooms from them and I would recommend Renewal by Andersen to anyone.

Bottom line: Product may be good, but cost is high, sales presentation is overly long, and it’s as high pressure as a time share pitch.
A man came to my door one day, said company representative was in the area, and asked if I’d be interested in having windows replaced. I said okay, and then was asked all these odd questions, as other reviewers have mentioned, making sure I could be available for a 90-​minute presentation, and about who the head (s) of household are and if they’d all be present at the presentation.
An appointment was made, but the company called to say the representative would be late, and asked if that would be okay. I said no, and we rescheduled.
At the new appointment, a representative came on time and was warm and friendly. He took me through a long presentation (about an hour and fifteen minutes) where he showed me samples, videos on his tablet, and took some basic measurements. The products looked good and well-​made, but I was getting the sense that they might be pricey based on his investment of time and energy in this presentation.
Somewhere in this presentation, he told me how highly rated the company was among customers, throwing out various numbers from surveys. Of course, who knows what the questions are on those surveys, and do any of the surveys ask if the prices seemed high, or if the sales tactics were high-​pressure? I remembered seeing some less-​than-​savory reviews of the company on sites I trust a lot more, like Unilocal.
Finally, we got to part I was waiting for and dreading. To replace two sliding glass doors and two windows, my quote was $ 14,000. I was instantly shocked. He asked me what I was expecting and I said maybe like $ 3,000. Now his approach changed to the point where I felt like I was being grilled. So, was I expecting to pay $ 1,500 for each door and get the windows for free, he asked? I couldn’t believe it. He said that I had led him to believe that, other than pricing and financing, there was nothing stopping me from going with their company. I said, yes, I did say that, and it is the pricing that I have a problem with! I stayed very calm, as he kept trying. He offered me a significantly lower price ($ 11,000, still way more than I was comfortable with) if I agreed to the price on the spot. When I said I would have to think about it, he said, «Okay, so you’re basically saying ‘no.’» It was really uncomfortable. He asked me what I was going to get instead, a conversation I didn’t want to even have, and he said if I was still considering getting vinyl windows after all the negatives he had shown me about them, that I’d still be looking at paying $ 8,000.
Eventually, he gave up, and took his samples back to his truck. We shook hands and I told him I was sorry we weren’t able to make a deal, just to be polite, and he said that it’s okay because most people do purchase from him after the presentation. Unbelievable.

Had these guys come out yesterday. I should have been suspicious when, making an appointment, they refused to make one more than two weeks in advance. Ultimately after several phone calls the «design consultant» came out. He was extremely articulate, knowledgeable, and helpful. Knew his product very well and I’m sure it is a quality one. Couldn’t have been nicer, and more complimentary about my house– until I asked about pricing.
Said «we don’t give ballpark estimates». He needed to get back to his office to give firm numbers. When I asked again if he could give an estimate within an order of magnitude, i.e. $ 1000? $ 10,000? Hundred thousand? He eventually said that my windows would cost up to $ 3000 each. His charm vanished when I mentioned that I have been receiving estimates from other companies for 25% of that. Once he heard that, he basically ran from my house.
Their business model is not unique; advertise heavily and offer to give free estimates. Insist that all the «players» who will make a decision are in the living room for the sales pitch. Get someone there to fall in love with them.
Then, after a week or so put on a lavish show with numbers which are so ridiculously inflated that only a small percentage of the customers too stupid to not shop around will bite.
Caveat emptor!

I responded to a flyer in the newspaper about getting an estimate by February 22 to get a great deal on the windows, no interest etc etc. The salesman came out and was very friendly. Took an hour to measure the windows and then an hours to tell us the whole history of window fabrication.
The features looked nice. I expected the pricing was going to be more than most. Our house in 1964 track home 1784 square feet one story. 11 windows and 2 sliding doors.
My mouth hung open when he said the price was $ 75,000 for the cheapest version and if we paid today $ 50.000. I talked to 10 other neighbors on my street who have the same size or floor plan. They paid $ 7,500 to the highest of $ 12,000 installed.
Really, $ 75,000!!! I could have installed all new windows, a new roof, added solar, painted the house and possibly even bought a new car.
We apologized to the sales person for wasting his time because he was nice, but we should have been given the apology. We asked for a break down sheet with the prices and he never emailed it as promised. He said 30% of the time some poor suckers take the deal.

I made the mistake of approaching this company at a 10K event last month. The lady was nice enough and I had only a few simple questions. I eventually got talked into having someone come out and give a quote on new windows.
So an appointment was made. They asked to have all the owners present for the meeting. I told them that although I am married, I am the sole owner of the home. I was informed that the salesman would go over options and pricing at our appointment.
The estimator arrived on time which is appreciated. He did his basic pitch and he measured the windows. He then stated he was done and that someone would call regarding pricing.
Then I start getting daily calls from their call center. I was told that the agent had to come out again to go over options and pricing. WTF. I took time off from work to meet with your guy and was expecting prices and options at that time. Then I was told my wife had to be there since she is on the deed. I explained that she was not and that she is busy with work and a small child. I asked that they just email me the options and price since the measurements were already done. They refused.
If the communication and customer service is this bad, one could only imagine what the quality of work and guarantees would be like. So in the end, a colossal waste of time.
From the Unilocal reviews, it appears that this company already has a horrible reputation.

Looking to replace my front door. Called to set up an appt and the first gentlemen kept asking me who lived at my house, was I the home owner, was the other owner going to be home during the appt. I kept assuring him that I didn’t need my husband here to make this appt or decision. He said this about three times then transferred me to another asst manager. Got the same line of questioning about needing my husband home. This became highly offensive and extremely discriminating and now I am angry. I got the same line about this type of technique is supported by the BBB, (what??) and their company insists upon it or no appt. I demanded names and titles and told them I was going to report them. He went and checked with his manager and I finally got the appt, one that I could take alone.
I took the appt out of curiosity and I was not disappointed as their bad business manner continued. I leaned on them for a quote for the door and got three versions for the same product. One price was based on if I purchased the door from them within one year. Then next price (same door) was if I ordered within 30 days. The next price was if I ordered immediately. It was a significant swing for the same door.
Ridiculous.
People, don’t be victimized by this technique. This is bad business management that should not be rewarded. They apparently don’t believe in their product or company enough to just be good at their job and stand behind their product.

This is by far one of the worst businesses I’ve ever dealt with in my life. They clame they merged with Clark Addams. They are real shysters, which is a slang word for someone who acts in a disreputable, unethical, or unscrupulous way.
They have terrible customer service. They wasted my time completely with their promises of giving me a far quote. After arriving late the man who came out to give the quote after wasting almost an hour of my time trying to upsell me in every way when I explained I just wanted a fair price for windows.
He was extremely rude and walked away without giving me a quote. My advice: don’t patronize this business — better yet don’t even call them. You’re wasting your time and you’ll be aggravated by their unethical business practices. I can see that 2 other people have already reviewed them and agree with my appraisal.

Expensive prices, great product, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
After spending obscene amounts on 3 windows and 2 doors and being pushed from pillar to post with regards to install, which took 4 weeks longer than promised, I can honestly say I would never, ever give this company my business again.
Given all sorts of excuses as to why this has happened, can’t even get the invoice I requested from them.
Don’t use them or give them your business, you will regret it.

I had a similar experience with S.G. I answered a full page ad in the LA Times.
The rep showed up and after some meaningless chatter he pulled out a checklist and started asking personal questions that had nothing to do with windows. When I told him I didn’t want to answer these questions he told me the company required I answer them or he wouldn’t give me my estimate. I told him if he didn’t give me the estimate I would post this on Unilocal.He didn’t so I told him to get out of my house.

Fail! Called to set up an appointment to get a quote for 4 picture windows. Maybe it went to a call center (310)683−5220 but my issue is with an enterprise-​wide business practice, not a specific location.
Went through the whole 48-​hour quote request process, picked a time… and then got asked to make sure all the people who owned the house were available for 90 minutes so I could get a a price from the rep who would show up. WTF?! I am replacing 4 failed picture windows, not renaming my children!
Asked them if they would refuse business unless all the homeowners signed — they said yes. Indicated that this was a practice recommended by the BBB. Told them I don’t want to give them my money if they cannot to put customer needs ahead of some high pressue sales tactics.
Free advice to the company: Change your business practices to meet the needs of the people that keep you in business. Not every repair decision in a household requires 3 person hours of deliberation even if the BBB supposedly tells you that. Plus that whole BBB reference sounds pretty ridiculous. Not sure what to hold against you more: the fact that you are using BBB to defend the practice, or that you put what BBB says over what the customer needs.
Either way, you aren’t getting my business.
