Great selection! Very friendly staff. My kids love this place.

good store, dont mean to trash it, big size, nice selection but Im reviewing angry because of something dumb they did. So I could rent most of this stuff on Netflix (disc delivery) but I went here for the bluray extras. A couple of years ago Netflix stopped renting dvd and bluray extras. So I drive 15 minutes. The case its in lists the extras, I watch it, then no extras. I return it and ask and they say «oh the second disc is kept behind the counter» Um a lot of good that info does me now. Unless you live around the corner from this place, getting the extras is pretty much the best reason to go to a place like this. Shame

If you ask for a movie they don’t have they’ll try to convince you to buy it from them. Don’t do it. I waited for a movie that was delivered to me quite damaged and was told (even though I paid half already), that it was more expensive than they thought and I had to pay more than half with no real proof of that. They can do the same thing for you at Amoeba but wont give you a damaged disc. It sucks I have to leave a bad review because I love movies and more rental places like this should exist but I feel like I really wasted my money here.

Great selection of new movies, classics, family and TV. Fair prices and very helpful and knowledgable staff.

yes, there’s still 1 video (DVD & blue ray) store left in the world, and yes i’m proud to say we’re members of it!
we love to actually roam this store and visually see what’s available. we don’t stay on top of what’s out, so going to the new release section helps to make a decision.
they have a great selection of videos (old and new) and large quantities of new releases. we almost always can get what we want.
the staff are super knowledgable not to mention friendly and helpful too.
only bummer is the penguins across the street went out of business, so our ‘movie and froyo’ nights have been changed to ‘movie and popcorn from trader joe’s’ nights!
please, please stay, première video; the south bay will always need a little bit of nostalgia!

I just love to come in and browse. There are so many titles of every imaginable genre. If you like documentaries they have a huge selection in addition to the many new releases that line the walls. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the price is about average.

I say a little prayer for this place everytime I go in, as there is no more an endangered species than the good old fashioned video store! (remember Blockbuster?) Well, these guys make the defunct Blockbuster look like the crappy chain that it was. They have huge walls of contemporary films, old films, documentaries, games, lots of titles you can’t get anywhere else! Please, go there, use them, keep them alive and healthy for the next generation!!!

Last video rental standing. Get in early during the weekends or reserve the early releases. Staff is always friendly. Owners are great too! Great selection of previously viewed blue rays, great deal if you get the digital versions included. Ask about those.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said with all the other 5 star reviews. This place is great. If I could give it 6 stars I would.
Walking in this store brought back memories of watching Saved by the Bell for some reason. I grew up in the 90’s so maybe that had something to do with it. Growing up it was a routine that we would go as a family to a movie store and rent something for the weekend. It’s been yearssss since I’ve done that and I’m part to blame because I’ve let myself get sucked into the laziness our world is now. The Netflix (oh it’s already on my TV, I’ll just settle for whatever I can find) category, or the Redbox (oh I’m grocery shopping I might as well rent something since I’m here) category. My wife and I were very pleased to see this place is still around and look forward to making a new routine out of our stay at home date nights.
We’ve only met Eric as the staff there but he is great and really comes off as being knowledgable. I’m sure as all the other reviews say, if I walk and say «I’m trying to find…» He’ll stop me and say «fourth aisle, third shelf down, middle left column».

Blast from the past. My husband and I always enjoyed walking the isles of video stores and have missed them over the years. I have driven by this place all my life but never bothered to stop. Last night we were desperate for an old classic and we decided to stop and see what they had. So glad we did. They have newer movies than RedBox and a great selection of the oldies but goodies and all the TV series. Eric was the gentleman that helped us and was very knowledgable. We can’t wait to go back and will be making our strolls down memory lane in movie store a regular habit again. Yay!

We live right down the street from this place, don’t know why we didn’t get a membership sooner– with both redbox and netflix having such limited selections– this place has everything! We found a movie here 2 weeks before its release on redbox. And if you wanna catch up on TV shows which are impossible to get a hold of (Game of Thrones) this is the place. So worth it! And the smell and décor of the place is so nostalgic!

This is an awesome video store we come here every week. The customer service is superb, the movie selection is excellent. Prices are spot on, parking is easy, etc.

So fun! The last video rental store around town. The staff is great and movie knowledgeable, the selection makes me reminisce of movies I saw as a kid. It’s a great walk down memory lane to just browse. Please don’t close lovely video store!

They call it Premier for a reason! They get new releases before the release date! I have been coming there since I was a little girl, and it is a great Redondo Beach hot spot for film, tv series, and video game enthusiasts.
It is a large store, with the tv series upstairs. It is refreshing to have an actual movie store these days!
The store is always clean, movies are organized, and in order.
There documentary section is incredible and they keep getting more and more! On Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, their special is rent 2 movies, rent a third one for free!
I love this place, spacious parking lot, great hours, and friendly helpful staff!

I have no idea how this place is still open, given how times have changed. But man am I glad it is. Every time I’ve come here looking for something I can’t find elsewhere, they have it. Super nice staff. I hope this store survives forever. The best.

I’m so glad this place is still open while everything else has gone straight to the internet. This is your classic local video store with a neon sign, and employees who are movie enthusiasts and very informative. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will find it for you. Première video is special and I hope it lasts a very long time.

If you don’t like Premier Video you are probably a terrorist.
Premier is the most American thing that still remains in our free land of freedom. It has literally every DVD ever made, categorized in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re doing research in the Library of Congress. It has outlasted both the videos Blockbuster and Hollywood.
Premier and its sage-​like staff (who are worth the trip alone – I could talk to those guys for hours) will likely still be there when our whole industrial complex collapses on itself. In the future there will be only Première – go now or be left behind.

Premier Video is the best video store in the South Bay. Period. They have a fantastic selection — from New Releases, Art House Cinema, Indy, Foreign, Classics, and Documentaries. The entire upstairs is completely filled with Television Shows — from specials to entire series. Mad because The Sopranos isn’t on Netflix? No problem, they’ve got every season (my GF and I just binged).
Store is setup well, plenty of room to browse without getting in other people’s way. Films are organized alphabetically within specific categories and they carry DVDs & BluRay (no VHS). They have their own parking lot (free!) with easy access in from PCH as well as Knob Hill.
The thing that sets them apart is the service. The staff are very knowledgeable. Ben is The Best. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of movies but he isn’t one of those Film Snobs (hate film snobs), he’s friendly & upbeat but always professional. Ben has recommended many movies and we’ve never been disappointed. Get this — If they don’t carry a film you want — they’ll order it for you, to buy or rent. Nice.
I’ve been renting here forever and hope they never close.
