I had a hard time figuring out which building the office was actually in. I walked the long way around unnecessarily! It is right across the Galleria Mall, on the corner of Kingsdale & Artesia. There is a medical supply store on the ground level. Dr. Darragh took a good look at my feet, and we discussed the painful areas. He watched me walk down the hall, then took X-Rays, and came back to tell me what might be causing my pains. He suggested Orthotic inserts. The staff is very pleasant and checked to see if my insurance covered Orthotics, turns out, it doesn’t. Someone came in to tell me they didn’t. They didn’t coerce me into paying cash outright, instead just explained to me what my options were. Dr. Darragh came back in and I decided I’d wait until the New Year to decide what I could do then. He suggested giving me an injection in each heel to alleviate some of the pain. It is a temporary fix. He said the more permanent solution would be to get the Orthotics. I agreed to the injection of cortisone & anesthetic. He explained what he was doing and I rolled with it. Yep, it was a bit of a sting! I made my appointment for the New Year and we will see how I am doing. In the meantime, hopefully, I’ll be able to walk without so much pain for a little while!
