Paint ‘n Pour

This was my first paint night experience and we had a blast! They do have a bar here and you get a free drink ticket with every purchase (red wine, white wine, water, or soda). They also sell chips. So, you find your seat and you get all the painting supplies needed (paint, brushes, water, canvas). The painting instructor went step by step and it was very easy to follow. It does move fast though. She was super helpful and went around to give us feedback and lots of encouragement! We did the street lamp painting and it was a long one! Very fun experience! Check it out and don’t forget to look on Groupon for deals! We got 4 tickets for $ 88.

This is my second time at this place and just like the first time, I had so much fun. The first time I came here was for a GNO and this time it was for a team Christmas luncheon as a gift from our Boss. Both Rich and Marie are great, funny, and very encouraging. A fine way to relax, enjoy time with friends and family, and most especially have a glass of wine or two (5oz at a time). For sure there will be a next time. Thanks for another challenging and fun experience.

I have visited Paint ‘n Pour a few times and have loved the 1 night classes so much I signed up and just finished the Paint ‘n Pour S’more session. The one night classes are very fun to go to with a friend on a night when you want to have fun, casually paint and enjoy a glass of wine. But if you want to spend some more time on your painting (which I did), and learn more about technique I would highly recommend the Paint ‘n Pour S’more session. We took 3 nights for a total of 8 hours to complete our Fall Harvest painting. Daisy was a great teacher and very patient with our group when we had questions. I really enjoyed not feeling rushed on my painting and still getting to sip on a glass of wine :) Would definitely recommend trying both!

I recently completed my first Paint and Pour and Paint S’more project and loved it! It’s a very casual art studio where you can hang up your purse and coat, grab a paint apron, have a glass of wine, and then sit and wash away the stresses of your day while you learn and create your very own piece of art. It took 3 days to complete an 8 hour project and I looked forward to going each day. Daisy is a wonderful instructor; patient and knowledgable. She guides you with color and technique and helps you step by step when you feel you’d like to make corrections. it’s amazing how your painting slowly unveils itself. Loved the background music too! I would definitely recommend it!

So, I’ve been to this place a few times. My first and second experience was amazing. I went painting tonight & the experience was not so good.
I went to redeem my ticket for a glass of wine but I just wanted the cup. The owner/​bar guy proceeded to tell me I could pour my own wine. I say «ok». He proceed to tell me he can pour it for a $ 5 uncork fee and continue to say if he sees me pouring he will have to ask for me to take my bottle to my car. By this time I’m getting a little upset… he repeats don’t pour the wine if you do I will have to ask you again to take it to the car. Mind you, I’m still standing at the bar without the bottle of wine. I told the guy he did not have to keep repeating himself & talking to me as if I am a child & can I have my glass of wine from him.
I get my glass and go sit next to my friend and begin to tell her she can’t pour the wine… the male owner came over being very rude & saying put the bottle away. I tell him had he giving me enough time to tell her to just put it away. He says well I saw it out and I’m just telling you it can’t be out.
I don’t know if it was the color of my skin or what but he did not treat anyone else who brought their wine like a child he was punishing.
This will be my last time at this establishment but thank you. By they way I was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t enjoy my painting experience !!!

Paint ‘n Pour was a fun experience! The place is ran by this cute older couple, the husband is the bartender and the wife helps with the painting and signing in. They were very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. I brought my boyfriend, when he first heard about our plans for the night he wasn’t exactly enthused, but after the experience he really enjoyed it! We painted the Manhattan Beach Pier which was a really good choice! They provide you with canvas, brushes, apron, and paint. You just need to show up. Unless you would like to have a beverage, we brought two bottles of wine but ended up only drinking one and having a beer towards the end. Its a 5 dollar corkage fee if you bring your own wine. The prices were reasonable for beer/​wine and snacks if you chose to purchase there. We will definitely come back and paint again! Oh and plenty of free parking! At the time they was a renovation going on so we almost missed the sign, its tucked in the corner of a lil shopping area.

My birthday is tomorrow and I celebrated tonight with one of my best friends. It was relaxing, fun, and very peaceful for me. It was a perfect time, and the owners of this amazing place are so kind, and thoughtful. We look forward to going back for another friend day, and I also look forward to taking my hubby for date night. My painting will be displayed for all to see. =)

Great atmosphere, fun crowd and very nice owners. I have no artistic skills whatsoever but the instruction was easy to follow. We bought the Groupon deal for 4 and had a fabulous time. I would come back for another painting & absolutely recommend for everyone to come have fun! (Yes the shortest one in the picture is me)

I had such a great time here I went for my birthday with my family it was a wonderful evening Marie and Rick make it very easy to follow along rick is so funny and really Marie takes care of all your needs as your painting and it was just a great experience which I will be doing that again!!!

I’ve been wanting to do a paint-​and-​drink-​wine event ever since I first walked by one while walking on State street in Santa Barbara a few years ago. Of course, I never followed up on it until recently.
I first contacted Marie, who set up a private event on a weekday during lunch time. She was very informative on the phone, explaining what the event entailed, how long it would be, what I could do about food and wine, and how much the fees are.
1. You pay per head usually, but if you arrange a private event, you pay a flat fee.
2. It lasts about 2– 2 ½ hours.
3. You pick a painting and everyone draws the same painting. I assume if you’re attending a class and not a private event, you have a painting picked for you.
4. You can bring your own wine, $ 5 corkage fee.
5. You can also bring your own food, but bring (paper) plates and utensils.
6. You can buy soda/​water/​beer there.
7. Everything such as paint, canvas, apron, and brushes are provided.
8. No artistic talent or experience necessary! Marie instructed us on how to do our painting, step by step. You end up with a beautiful piece of art!
I’ve only been to this place, so I have nowhere else to compare it to, but we had fun, I felt like I learned a skill, and I left with a piece of artwork with me. What more could I ask for?
Actually, one thing I wish they would change is that although they let you bring your own wine, they did not have real wine glasses, and they poured wine into plastic cups. I understand providing wine glasses might cause some breakage while people are wielding their paintbrushes around, but it would’ve made the experience A LOT better. Heck, I would’ve even brought my own had I known. As any wine drinker knows, nothing like drinking wine out of a plastic cup that puts a damper on drinking good wine!

I have been here twice and had a great time at both events. Some people think only art pros come here and make the newbies look bad, but that isn’t true at all. Although people of all skill levels attend, everyone is too busy (drinking & painting) to focus on what you are painting, lol. So don’t be embarrassed at all. I would say my artistic ability is in the low range, but I still enjoy this place! Have a good attitude and you’ll be ok! Paint N Pour is great for dates, girl’s night, an office event, Mother’s Day… I took my husband here for Valentine’s day. He said he hadn’t painted since elementary school, but his scene looked greattt and more importantly– he had a fun time.
As long as you are a friendly person and don’t mind following some paint instructions, then you enjoy some hands on art. There is a bar in the back, but you can also bring your own bottle for a $ 5 corkage fee.

I loved this experience!
I’m not a novice to painting, but it’s something about paint and wine that gets me!
My friend got a group-​on with the class being half off, so might as well seize the opportunity. A lot of the people that go to these classes don’t have an artistic bone in their body, but it was so cool seeing them try something new and creating something that they could have never thought of being capable of doing.
The night that we went was during their «African Sunset» class, and the instructor made the night lively and fun by playing Lion King music. :D
I think I want to do this painting class once a month because I had so much fun. It doesn’t matter if you don’t think you’re artistic, you can be your own Picasso!

My husband and I came here with a couple of friends and it was so much fun! The owners are such nice people. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, so you don’t have to worry about arriving early to find parking.

It’s a Friday night, Jamie A, Jennifer N, Geraldine N and I are off channeling our inner Picasso’s to create a masterpiece!
The concept of Paint N’ Pour is awesome! Their motto is «You come. You paint. You drink wine (or beer or soft drinks).» It’s a little studio with a stage where an instructor walks you through how to create your own art! Everything is supplied! They give a 16×20 canvas, acrylic paint, easel, apron and brushes.
The folks at Paint N’ Pour made this experience so much fun! They had great music playing in the background and a couple times folks in the room were singing along to the music! *Sweet Caroline…” Ooh it’s like karaōke! I love it!
For our painting session, we were painting the «Sailboat Silhouette» and so some of the song choices that night had the word «ocean» in it (done on purpose) and Rich, the instructor told us when we would hear the word «ocean» in a song, it was an indication to cheers with our drinks (I just had soda but it was still fun lol).
At the end of the night, I loved seeing everyone’s creations! They were all unique and different! Each one catered to one’s personality and it was awesome! As everyone knows, I am a big hello kitty fan and so my special touch for my painting was naming my sailboat «Hello Kitty.»
This is is a great place to hang out with friends and have a fun, stress free night out! I’m the first to admit that I am not that artistic but I loved my experience here so much that I cannot wait to Paint (and pour lol) again!

Paint ‘n Pour is AWESOME! My bf and I used the Groupon deal and we had a fantastic time! We were the first ones to arrive and was greeted by Marie and Rich. They are married, owners, instructor, facilitator, and bartenders of the place! They are amazing and laid back with a great sense of humor.
You can bring your own drinks, a small fee applies (beer $ 1 and bottle of wine $ 5) which is not bad at all. They sell drinks and snacks for a really good deal too!
The place were very clean, restrooms were well maintained!
The canvases were high quality and durable! My bf and I didn’t want to take home similar paintings so instead we decided to work together and mesh our painting together! I am so glad we did because it turned out great and we now have a painting we can actually put up without it costing too much $$ !
Rich was the instructor that night and we explained very well and easy to follow. He cracked a few jokes and Marie and Rich came around often to help if you needed it. Painters went on their own speed. No one felt rushed during the time and I noticed people were still painting when the class was «over» but they didn’t rush or kick people out.
Definialty a GREAT time and I will be sure to return. The location is so convenient too, easy parking (free) and it beats driving to LA, valeting your car, and ordering from a menu!

Paint n Pour is perfect for all occasions! Date night, birthday party, family events or even wedding proposals (hehe my friend proposed here)…you name it and it can be done here.
The canvas and paint provided were of GREAT QUALITY.
The studio was clean, friendly and perfectly sized for an intimate group of friends!
The owners were the NICEST PEOPLE I have ever met.
The service was OUT OF THIS WORLD. When my friend was planning how to propose here, the owners stayed LATE just to help him plan. They even allowed me to borrow one of their paint brushes just so I could complete my painting at home. I seriously love them.
The atmosphere was FUN. After all, you’re allowed to bring your own music, food and alcohol.
It doesn’t get better than this.

So the wife tells me that we have a date night for this last weekend (4÷26÷14). We are going to Paint and Pour and all has been paid for. My response, «uhhhhh okay, sure.» Paint and pour, what the heck am I in for? Little did I know, I was in for a unique and fun experience that turned out to be a really great night out.
So the deal is this. You schedule a night out, you get a 16×24 canvas and everything you need to paint. You are in a room with about 30 – 35 other «artists» and after you settle in, put an apron on, get a drink (beer, wine, soft drinks, etc.) the instructor gets up on the stage. Music is going and you are off! You are all painting the same masterpiece but there is much freedom to do as you like to your own canvas. This is no paint by numbers, there are no stencils or templates to use, only an example on the stage and the instructor going through the steps. I am thinking that the event is way more fun with a group as we went with another couple and just had a blast showing each other our vision of the example. There was another birthday party right next to us of about 10 ladies that seemed to be having so much fun just snapping pics away and showing one another their art.
Event goes for about 2.5 hours and naturally you get to keep your painting. Place is run by a married couple that seems to be having a bunch of fun themselves. I have a solid feeling that if we were drinkers this place would be even more fun and as the group gets larger it would be even better. They are available for private parties and have special, specific paintings that they do at only certain times if that interests you as well.
Just worth mentioning, about half way through we noted that this place would be totally featured in like an MtV blind or first date show. Looked around for a hot tub but it was not in plain view so maybe not…
