You get what you pay for! Cheaply made glasses are cheap for a reason. I had the misfortune to have gone several months thinking my vision was getting worst, just to find out my LensCrafter’s glasses had been made improperly.

My appointment was for 10:40 it is now 11:20 and I am still sitting here. These people started the eye exam and now I am sitting here waiting for the optometrist to see me I scheduled my appointment early because I have plans for my Saturday. It’s now 1130 and they tell me oh it takes an hour with an attitude I’m the patient and you want my business are you kidding me DONT COME HERE!!! they act as if I was bothering them I will take my business elsewhere BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE AWFUL SERVICE JUST TERRIBLE

I was unpleasantly surprised with the customer service at this location. It was a busy Saturday and I was happy to wait my turn. While waiting about 15 minutes, one of the sales guys immediately attended two other customers who came in through the door after me. It was so apparent that I was completely ignored twice that another sales person walked up to me and apologized. When I patiently waited for two people who came in after me to be taken care of, I kindly mentioned this to Christian who serviced me. He shrugged his shoulders, rolled his eyes and could care less. I practice pediatric medicine. If any of our clinical staff mistreated patients like this, I’d warn them once and then fire them. If paying customers aren’t important to LENSCRAFTERS, let me know so that I can pay an appreciative optometric store.

Dr. P is outstanding! She was fabulous throughout the whole process, explained everything during my dilation and afterwards as well. I highly recommend seeing her! The rest of the staff was very friendly and dod not pressure me at all. The store has great facilities and everyone made my appointment very nice!

Not happy with Lenscrafters today.
Went to pick up my new glasses last Saturday and found a problem with how the lenses were set into the frame. They said they could fix it, but it had to go to another location that could grind the shape better and it would take 3 – 4 days. No problem, would be back in a week to pick them up. So today I am here to pick up my glasses and guess what. …they are not done, as they STILL have to send them to another location to grind the lenses??? So what happened during this past week???
Not a happy camper right now.
But they are working to get then done by tomorrow, so at least they are working to make it right.

Spent more time then I had hoped. While I scheduled a week before for an 1130 am appt, I wasn’t admitted to the room until 1230. Then, I had to wait even longer because the doctors were running behind. The sad part was that all they had in the waiting area was magazines about eye treatments, no wifi!
However, I was able to pickup my glasses within 2 – 4 hours, since they make the glasses there, making the wait time less!

Horrible horrible horrible service!!! I showed up to store and was the first one to walk in as she opened the door, I was the last one to be helped!!! Took them an hour or so to just check if they had my frame for replacement and call around. They found my frame in Lakewood but after running the rest of my errands I realized I wasn’t going to make it. Next day I called the redondo beach store back and asked them to order the frame from Lakewood for me. He said he would call me back right away. Two days have passed so I decided to call back Brandon myself. I had to call about 5 times back to back because there was no answer, even though store had been open for over an hour. I finally got an answer and the woman who answered was extremely rude. She began her interaction by telling me it wAs not her mess so I should call back once they died down. I understand that places get busy but her tone and diction were completely unprofessional. Then I said, you guys already said, you’d call me back once, I’d feel more comfortable getting this resolved right away. Since all they had to do was call a nearby store and get frame transferred, I didn’t think I was asking for too much. Especially not after waiting now two days for a all back. Her answer to my request was, I did not say anything, I’m putting you on hold. Finally Brandon came to the phone and said he will order the frame, finally, and asked for my number again. Apparently, he not only failed to order my frames two days ago but admitted to losing my number as well. This is my second terrible experience with them. If you are in the South Bay Area I recommend making the trip to del amo. They have superior and more competent staff.

Waited 30 minutes to get the basic eye exam and after 2 hours I walked out with my Rx. I came to here because it’s a chain and thought they could get me in and out quick. The only thing that saved it was the doctor was friendly and knowledge.

PRO: This is definitely one of the nicer Lenscrafters offices. It is spacious with easy parking out front and a nice selection of frames and sunglasses. Dr. P is very nice and seems genuinely interested in her patients. Scheduling appointments has never been a problem.
CON: They are overpriced on contacts and glasses. They also try to add on services that are not covered by insurance and conveniently forget to mention it. I agreed to a «lens fitting» and after the doc did a few checks and prescribed me the SAME exact lenses I was already wearing, they informed me that the lens fitting was an extra $ 100., not covered by my insurance. When I asked her about it, she said, «Oh they didn’t tell you?» No, because if they did, I would have declined it!
If you are going in for services, print out your insurance benefits FIRST and bring them with you so you know what is covered and how much. Don’t rely on them to tell you because they won’t until after the fact.

This is by far the best Lens Crafters. I walked in here a hot mess at 645 and they had me out by 7 with an order for contacts and glasses. They made me feel very welcome and we’re quick to help me. I have horrible eyesight and only had a pair of old glasses with me. Kayla helped me pick out a pair that complimented my face. Her manager whose name I’m missing at the moment was also very helpful and accommodating. I’m like –13.50 in my eyes so I know from the beginning I’m going to spent a shitload of money on my eyes. They hooked me up and also hooked me up with a trial pair of contacts too.
Go see them. They rock!

So my insurance no longer covers glasses so I called Lenscrafters to see if they carry Varrilux lenses and they do. They quoted me with a 30% discount that the cost would be $ 650.00. I head their way and pick out a frame and show them a 40% discount that I could get with AARP. After working up the costs, they quoted me $ 1000 + WITH the discount meaning the glasses regular price was over $ 1500. I walked out the store and called my optometrist and with NO discount it was $ 790.

I had an eye exam last Saturday. Dr. P was very thorough, friendly, and knowledgable. She made sure that my exam was as pleasant as possible.
This particular LC has very modernized equipment by the way. I wasn’t used to it at first because of how the LC in Cerritos mall is. It was definitely a pleasant surprise though! I’ll make sure to come back regularly! Thank you Dr. P & staff for a nice experience.

Until a month ago, I would have given this place 4 or even 5 stars… and until a month less one phone call ago I probably would have given it 2… maybe 3. But no, now you get 1 star, Lens Crafters in Redondo.
It all started when a new doc gave me a new kind of contact lens… even after a 10 year history and my job and everything about my life definitely suggests I needed to stick with the 30 day (she put me on the ones that have to be taken out every night — I don’t know, are they getting a rebate or something?).
They weren’t working out. I called Lens Crafters and asked if I could use my prescription and get my old brand instead. The manager said no, that my contacts prescription had been «finalized» (even though the rx was valid…) and that I would have to come in for a $ 25 appointment before they would sell me another brand. This didn’t seem right to me.
So I called back about 10 minutes later. I asked whoever answered the phone to fax me a copy of my prescription. She gave me so much attitude and (I swear) pretended to write my fax number down. She never faxed me my prescription and never got back to me.
Thankfully, later that day, I was looking through some documents and found my prescription. I took it to an optometrist and — since it is a valid prescription — they gave me a sample pair of my old brand of contacts and I was able to buy a supply. No hassle and NO $ 25 fee.
tldr; When I didn’t like Lens Crafters’ practice of charging me twice to access my prescription, and I tried to leave as a customer, they withheld my prescription information.

I ordered Tiffany eyeglasses that where to big i kept going in to have them adjusted then decided to exchange them. Everyone there was SO nice Kyla, Victoria, & Don. Don helped me pick out another pair of the TIffany eyeglasses which I love and they fit perfect. I give there customer service a 10. Thank you for being so kind and patient with me.

After multiple bad experiences, the staff is completely revamped and I must say that Dr. Parypatydar is amazing! She spotted some miniature ulcers that were causing dry eye from sleeping in my contacts, and treated them immediately. Then she prescribed contacts specifically designed to sleep in. She’s really good and thorough. Thanks!

I will definitely be coming back here for all my optometry-​related needs. Dr. Paripatyadar is amazing – in addition to being extremely knowledgeable and professional, you can tell she also really cares about her patients. The exam was efficient but never felt rushed, and I appreciated how she kept me in the loop every step of the way about what was going on. At the end she gave her recommendations, and was very clear about her reasoning so I felt confident about what I needed to do, but not unnecessarily worried about anything.
The rest of the visit also went very well; everyone I talked to was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. They took my prescription and made my glasses and had them ready all within a few hours. I got the impression they were all one big team working together to give me the best possible service. Not to mention they have nice brand-​new state-​of-​the-​art equipment and a great selection of glasses. All-​around exceptional experience for me, they definitely deserve the 5 stars!

Wonderful staff, and a very caring optometrist who genuinely cares about patients. Dr. Paripatyadar really took the time to explain my condition and the available treatments and options available to me (I’m not even a patient yet!). Thank you, Doctor!
I’m definitely leaving the store in Del Amo for this branch as there is a significant difference in customer service!
[My only reason for a 4 rather than 5 stars is because they had quoted a different price for my mother’s lenses on the phone than in person. When I went to pay she said that this is not true and there is no such discount or price. After much haggling and explaining (if I knew this were the price I would have never come in), she finally decided to «honor» the original price I was quoted over the phone. I appreciate that very much, especially in these times… Although I wish they had better prices and offers for lenses.]

My experience at this Lens Crafter’s was
not something I would ever care to repeat.
I came in for sunglasses w/​a Happy Birthday promotion card which entitled me to free frames (under $ 147.00) providing I pay for the lenses. I was told by the store’s supervisor that I would have to pay additional for an eye exam as my eye prescription had expired 28 days earlier. That added an additional $ 120.00 to my bill. The supervisor sent me home due to the wait time. When I came back, no one was at the desk. She sent me back w/​Roger, an assistant, who during the exam, handed me his business card w/​«1 free ½ hr. massage» on it. I was in shock. The eye Dr. was professional & helpful. Next, the frames I initially picked out were lost, as well as the backup pair I chose. It only got worse. Next the store supervisor attempted to charge me over $ 550.00 for my $ 147.00 sunglasses! I left in total disgust! This was an complete shakedown!
BEWARE!!!

This used to be my eye exam office of choice by they are going downhill fast. I had a bad experience with my daughter here about a year ago. There’s a new optometrist there now so I decided to give it another shot. I didn’t have any problems with the optometrist this time, however their staff is awful. The convenience of having glasses ready in an hour is great but I won’t be back to this location. Might try another local Lens Crafters that has better reviews.

Open on Sundays and glasses ready ASAP. Exam and awesome leopard print D&G glasses on a Sunday. Plus a sale! 40% off. Awesome sales people and friendly service. Even provided us with some Halloween candy while we waited.
As for the exam– those eye photos are completely optional and they told me all of the pricing options up front.
Highly recommended!
