Excellent academic education! They are far ahead of public school kindergarten. My daughter attended Ms. Jazmin’s class last year and this year she feels very confident in kindergarten. My younger daughter is now in Ms. Jazmin’s class and I am amazed at her progress. They have regular assessments to keep track of their children’s’ and the teachers’ progress. I believe my girls are off to a good start with Leap and Bound Academy.

My family and I absolutely love Leap and Bound Academy. My son has been there for a total of 3 years but with Ms. Jazmins class 2 years. The support of Ms. Jazmin has been outstanding at Leap and Bound Academy. My son Jakob has been in Ms. Jazmins class 2 years now and he comes home at the end of the day happy and excited to share what he has learned. Ms. Jazmin is willing to try new things and help my child grow and learn at his own pace. Ms. Jazmin also values and respects my input as a parent and addresses any concern I might have. I believe the whole curriculum is great. What Jakob needed was a challenge and a chance to show his abilities. That’s what Leap and Bound Academy offers.

This is an amazing wonderful preschool in the Redondo Beach area. My daughter has Miss Jazmine as her teacher, she really gets involved with the kids and performs a great concert for the holidays. I wouldn’t send my daughter anywhere else, the whole staff is amazing, thank you Leap n Bound.

We love LBA Redondo Beach! It’s very clean and open space to let children have motivated to learn. Ms. Susan is very responsible, organized and does make sure the security of all children with great efficiency.
All teaching staff are amazing and they definitely have love for children. They believe the potential of children and start to develop not only their academic skills but also communication and social skills at early age.
We have been here since 2013. My son had Ms. Jazmine and now my daughter has her as well. Ms. Jazmine is always calm and gentle but yet fun and energetic. She knows how to treat kids and motivate them to have fun learning. She has her own unique way to teach children and my daughter is even learning Spanish and sign language! My daughter is already so prepared and advanced for kindergarten to come and I can’t thank enough to show our appreciation.

Our older daughter (now in Kindergarten elsewhere) went to Leap & Bound and had a great experience, so we now have our younger daughter there. She started at age 3 in the downstairs classrooms and is now 4 years old and upstairs with Miss Jazmin. We have seen such a great improvement in our daughter with Miss Jazmin’s patient but structured teaching. She can write all her letters, read some sight words, draws more and better, and has great skill with scissors — all because Miss Jazmin really takes the time to work with her kids. If our daughter wasn’t with Miss Jazmin, then I don’t know if we would be as satisfied. In the downstairs class, our daughter had been in a group of children that were mostly younger than her and wasn’t challenged enough.
Leap And Bound seems to be trying to make a better effort to communicate, which is definitely welcome. Overall, it’s a good school with fair rates.
If your child is in the upstairs classes, try to get him/​her assigned to Miss Jazmin!

We absolutely LOVE LBA-​Redondo!!! We have been coming here since 2012, first with my daughter, who also attended the kindergarten program, then with my son. The school is bright, clean, and spacious and I believe are all essential parts in creating an environment that can get kids motivated to learn.
I can’t say enough about the teaching staff as well. They display a professional attitude, genuine care for the children and you can just tell that they love what they do. They are all dedicated to their students in developing not only social and communication skills but also their academic skills at an early age. Ms. Susan is very personable and runs the place very efficiently. They have a good balance of fun and learning that is integrated in their school system. Even though education is a main focus of the school, they still have a lot of fun activities they do throughout the year. Ms. Sue is especially an outstanding teacher who goes above and beyond her duty to make sure that her students are prepared to advance into kindergarten. She individualizes her teaching plan to fit her students needs. She makes learning fun for the kids. Everything from social to academic that my kids have learned from her and LBA is priceless and I know will help them succeed as they move forward into elementary school.
This is will always be a place that I would recommend to my family and friends. Thank you!

I can’t say enough positive things about the school and the teaching staff. This preschool goes above and beyond what you would expect from a preschool.
My daughter just finished her first year there, and I have nothing but utmost appreciation for the genuine warmth, love and support we’ve received. My daughter loves it there. She’s made great friends. In just one year, she’s developed great social, problem-​solving, and communication skills. She has responded very well to play-​based learning in this environment. She comes home talking about what they learned that day (music to my ears). They truly make learning fun.

We just started sending our daughter (4years old) here, it’s been about 2 months and we have noticed her writing skills have improved dramatically. It’s not easy for two working parents to help our children academically when we are always busy. The teaching staff really focuses on improving the children’s academics. Ms. Sue has really been inspirational to our daughter. If you want a day care center that helps your child be prepared for the next level look no further because Leap and Bound can get them there!!!

My 3 ½ year old daughter went here for 6 months and unfortunately we had to leave as mommy has to relocate. It was heartbreaking to say the least. We absolutely loved this school!
Just a quick background on my daughter… she is developmentally delayed… most notably in speech. What comes hand in hand with that delay is not being potty-​trained yet. She has no behavioral issues but requires a certain level of patience as she is developmentally behind in most areas and a year behind her age group. The teachers worked with my daughter and she flourished. Within 6 months her speech improved (her speech therapists even recognized the change with the school) and she become more social. The curriculum was well-​rounded and included art, math, phonics, reading, dance, etc. Teachers made the learning process fun. My daughter loved going to school and I do believe that educational experiences in the early childhood years (pre-​K) make a difference in how receptive children are to school and education in general when they get older.
The school itself is very nice and well-​maintained. The actual building is 2 levels and consistents of several classrooms. Outside houses the play area. Security is absolutely top-​notch here. Not only do you sign in, but you have your face scanned. Yes it gets busy and people are coming in and out (especially around 5:30 pm) but there is always a staff member close to the entrance to monitor who comes in and out and with whom. They do learn/​recognize all the parents/​guardians.
Overall, we had a really great experience here and everything was top-​notch. I highly recommend this school and would re-​enroll my daughter in a heartbeat if we ever return to this area.

I know it’s only been two months, but a lot changes in a short time.
My 4 years 9 months old can now read, gets weekly spelling words and vocabulary tests, in addition to her weekly homework. They have also moved onto double digit addition and the concept of carrying the 10’s over.
They seem to move quickly, but not too quick that the students aren’t learning. The students in my daughter’s class are at varying stages of learning and the teacher adjusts the math and vocabulary to fit each students level of learning.

The walking field trips to the beach — they’re just a couple of blocks away from the surf — is simply awesome! They have wonderful programs too for the kids during the holidays; moments you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
Leap & Bound focuses on strong academic concepts for the little ones — all while having fun at the same time. This is not a daycare center; kids actually learn good academics here. I have my son at Leap & Bound for just under a year and I can say having him here is one of the best decisions we’ve made. His grasp at numbers, writing, and the alphabet are quite impressive — to think he knows absolutely none of these a few months ago.
I’ve found the payment method more flexible too. Instead of forking out a big lump sum once a month, payments are made weekly. Another option here is lunch inclusive payment, which I’ve found to be less stressful for a parent on a daily basis.

I don’t have a lot of time to write reviews anymore, but I’m making another exception for Leap & Bound Academy. Our kid has been going here for over a year now, and with the spirit of Thanksgiving upon us, I just have to give credit where credit is due: This school is excellent!
We looked at many schools before deciding, and after a year+, we’re still very happy with the choice we made. Leap & Bound is cleaner, brighter, and much better organized than the other places we looked at, and we love that academics is such an important part of the day. The kids actually have «classes» like numbers, letters, and colors for the younger children, and reading, writing, and math for the older students.
The teachers are all very dedicated, and I haven’t noticed the turnover that Wisper mentioned. It seems like most of the teachers that were there when our child started are still there, although they have added some new teachers lately to keep up with the demand for their services. They even added Kindergarten a few months ago. But I’m not worried about their growth diluting our child’s education since they maintain a strict 12-​to-​1 ratio, i.e. no more than twelve students per teacher.
Leap & Bound is a fairly new school – I think they opened in 2005 or 2006 – and I can see why they’re getting busier, since they really do provide an excellent learning and growing environment. We are very grateful for all that our child has learned thus far. And for that, they deserve and get 5 stars!

My son has been there for 3 years and I have seen everything going down hill now for about a year. When he started everything was good but from the quality of the staff to the professionalism of the managers and attention given to the kids, it went south and it got to a point where I got really concerned and decided to get him out of there.

My Son went there for 3 years and my daughter has been there for the last year. All of the teachers and staff are amazing to me and my children! I am especially excited that they are now serving nutritious hot lunches included in the tuition, it really makes life easier some days as a single mom :) I would recommend LBA to anyone!

I have 2 kids at this school and my 5 year old will be graduating this month after having been here for the past 3 years. We absolutely love this school.
Some of the reasons we chose Leap and Bound Academy: The first thing I noticed during my tour was that the teachers had absolute control over their classrooms without any yelling or mass hysteria whatsoever. The teachers were sitting at tables with the kids and the kids were actually paying attention to the lesson. This was huge for me because we had just taken our son out of a school in Manhattan Beach because the teachers were constantly yelling at the kids to get them to be quiet or sit down, etc. The second thing that impressed me was their ‘rotating’ classroom structure. I love that each room is dedicated to a specific subject and the kids get to go to all the classrooms instead of being stuck in the same room day after day with the same things. I think the focused classrooms really helps them to ‘dig in’ to each subject. I think the movement after 30 minutes also helps them to refocus and get a little energy out.
I was a little uneasy at first with the fact that my little guy (he was 2 at the time that we enrolled him) would be on the playground at the same time as the bigger kids. But I can honestly say that after watching them playing outside my worries completely vanished. The teachers are spread out in a way that the kids are fully supervised and I can honestly say that in the year that he’s been there I’ve never witnessed any real aggression on the playground. And because the kids are all outside together all of the teachers get to know all of the kids instead of only being responsible for their own students.
Now for the really important stuff… The teachers are AMAZING and my son is learning so much and having so much fun learning it. Yes this school is very focused on academics but it never feels stuffy or stringent. He learns while he’s having fun. The projects that they use to teach are not just coloring or basic projects. They are hands on manipulative projects that he learns while doing. I’m amazed at the stuff that he learns here. I’m so comfortable leaving him in their capable hands. I’m truly grateful for this school and the dedication and inspiration that comes from these teachers!
In the past 3 years the only issue that we’ve had with this school is teacher turnover. They let go of some amazing teachers but that is literally the only complaint that I have. In my opinion this is still the BEST pre-​school in the area and my son is more than prepared for Kindergarten.
