My clients love me! I have helped hundreds of families with their Living Trust. I have offices throughout Los Angeles, Orange County and Ventura County. I can help you with creating an Living Trust/​Estate Plan; Will; Probate; Conservatorships; Veterans Aid & Attendance Benefits and Medi-​Cal Benefit Planning and Asset Protection. I am also a Geriatric Care Manager assisting families with mediations and planning for elder care. My clients know me to be honest, thoughtful, and affordable. I can guide you every step of the way.

In addition to being a former elder law professor, I am also a gerontologist, having earned my master’s degree at the U.S.C. School of Gerontology in the study of aging. This gives my clients the benefit of having a well rounded approach for whatever your needs are.

Susan has been an attorney for over twenty years. She has helped many families with their estate plans, with most of her clients coming from referrals.

Her commitment to the aging population compelled her to obtain her Master’s degree in Gerontology from U.S.C. and to teach elder law at Loyola Law School.

With her exceptional background in estate planning and gerontology, Susan helps families with a variety of issues.

I called Susan’s office and was able to get an appointment with her that very day at the facility my elderly relative was staying in. She has been responsive, professional, and produced the living trust for my relative within a short time frame.
Overall, I am very satisfied with Susan’s estate planning services. In fact, the bank personnel at my relative’s bank mentioned that the power of attorney package that Susan produced was the best that they’ve come across.
I would highly recommend Susan’s services to anyone with aging relatives.

I am so relieved to have found Susan! She is extremely knowledgable on all areas of elder care, from financial planning to choosing the right facility for my mother. I was feeling overwhelmed when I suddenly became the caretaker for my mother many years before I had expected to be in this situation. I requested a consultation on Susan’s website, heard back from her office promptly, and met with her soon after. Susan is extremely warm and compassionate. Even though we don’t have a lot of resources, Susan helped me with an actionable plan for years to come. This system is so overwhelming if you are trying to navigate it alone. Now, thankfully, I don’t have to.

I submitted a request for a consultation via the website over a week ago and I have not yet heard back from this law office. They were given my email and phone number and have not attempted to return my contact at all. Very disappointing.
09÷19÷15: I have read the comments posted by Susan G. below and the reason we haven’t met is because no one returned my ‘request for consultation’ online. I was to be a new client. I have a Unilocal message from the same individual indicating they feel there’s a possibility the message may have gone into a spam folder, which is unfortunate. Other potentially new clients may also have attempted to contact this office to the same end. I assume there are settings on the email to adjust for this error. Thank you for your reply!

My father found Susan’s Elder Law advertisement and we called her office to schedule an appointment for consultation for a family trust. Her office asked for basic information to include the address of my parent’s home. To my surprise, Susan came to my parent’s home rather than have them make the trip to her Redondo office. My parents are 85 and 80 years old. Susan charged us a very reasonable rate, really worked hard to make this as quick and painless as possible and showed considerable patience — considering my parents’ ages and health. In the end — everything went well and we were very pleased with Susan’s friendliness, professionalism and thoroughness.

I actually found out about Susan Geffen’s seminar in Newbury Park by accident and attending was one of the best gifts I could have given my partner and me.
My partner suffers from multiple chronic medical conditions and it had come to the point where it was no longer feasible for her to live at home. I was really struggling (and procrastinating) with how to proceed with regard to living facilities and the best way to provide for her in the event she out lived me.
I made an appointment and we went to Susan’s office. She provided us with all the information we needed in language my partner was able to understand. It was important to me (and to Susan) that my partner felt that she had both or our best interests in mind and not just mine. At this meeting, we agreed to have Susan prepare the legal documents we needed. We found her fees are fair and reasonable.
Susan has extensive knowledge and is very down to earth. I was so excited about the information I gained from her seminar, I couldn’t stop sharing about it. Whenever I find out that she is giving another one, I try to get the word out to friends and family.

I attended one of Susan Geffen’s seminars and then followed up with a counseling session at her business establishment. She was very informative and provided me with ideas and guidance with helping my mother through a tough time. Her compassion is real and I appreciated her sympathy. What I especially appreciated was the fact that she would contact me by email asking about my situation and continued offering advice. Susan Geffen is available and timely with her communications and this was really needed as I sought ways to find a residence for my mother and with managing her finances. I am not a Unilocaler but I was compelled to submit a review based on the excellent legal assistance received from Ms Susan Geffen. Susan is a rare find, an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate attorney who takes everything into consideration when providing legal counsel. She spoke to my husband and I about the best way to provide for my mother in law’s care. My mother in law has been in and out of the hospital for the last 2 years due to a knee replacement that went horribly wrong. We had consulted another Elder Law attorney in the Valley who was almost dismissive and abrupt. She seemed to see each case in a boiler plate manner. We almost tried to handle the issue on our own, it would have been a huge mistake. So we traveled from the San Fernando Valley down to the South Bay to meet with Susan after attending one of her numerous free seminars. Susan is more than worth the trip.

I called Miss Geffen’s office to schedule an appointment with the attorney to create an Irrevocable Living Trust for my 80-​year-​old mother. I spoke to some guy in the office (he did not give his name) who was very condescending. He asks «do you know what Medi-​Cal is for?»
I was like, «um, yeah, that’s why I’m calling you today.»
He really talks down to you and I called him out on it. Instead of backing down he says «you know you are arrogant and I push back when people are arrogant to me»
Oh really? I’m arrogant because I’m asked for clarification on a question, on why are you asking me a specific question? Or am I arrogant because you speak to me like I am a 5-​year-​old and I did not respond to your questions in an appropriate 5-year-old’s manner?
I’m curious how this guy would have spoke to my mother.
Either way he is doing an amazing job turning away potential clients for the law offices of Susan B. Geffen.

Let me start off by saying AMAZING! I went to Susan after interviewing another atty on a certain matter. I thought all attys were people not to be trusted. The first atty I went to fit that description to a «T». Susan was the antidote for the other atty. We were looking for Elder Care, but a specific aspect of it. Susan was SO kind and understanding. She took time with me even when I knew she had things to do. Costumer service is everything to me. I first off started talking to Susan’s husband Joel who helped me formulate my questions for Susan and then I talked w her. The husb wife team was amazing. There were times they had to tell me things tough to hear but did so w tact and extreme kindness. They were everything attys are NOT supposed to be. And they are VERY good at what they do! No more «atty fishing» for me! I am taking ALL my atty needs to this office! I’m telling you, Susan thinks of things no other attys have! Including ways to protect family’s rights down the road! Go with them! I guarantee you will be happy! I am not family or friend with them. I simply got them on Unilocal
