King Harbor Yacht Club is the premier private yacht club in the South Bay. We have members of all ages who enjoy ocean activities including; fishing, sailboat racing, cruising, paddle boarding, kayaking, and diving. King Harbor Yacht Club is also committed to the training and education of youth sailors. In partnership with the King Harbor Youth Foundation, sailors of all ages and abilities learn to sail and race small boats. When our members are not on the water, they are enjoying the Club’s full slate of social events, visiting the restaurant and bar, or hosting a catered event of their own.

History

Established in 1960.

King Harbor Yacht Club was established in 1960 when Win’ard Yacht Club merged with Redondo Harbor Yacht Club. Today King Harbor Yacht Club is boasts a membership of nearly 600, and at any time, our distinctive yellow and blue burgee can be seen flying in ports and harbors up and down the West Coast, and around the world.

Meet the Manager

Bret C.

Manager

General Manager Bret Coad joined King Harbor Yacht Club in November 2012, bringing 12+ years of private club experience to our facility. Bret is a graduate of Iowa State University, an active member of the Club Managers Association of America, and in 2005 became one of the youngest to have earned the Certified Club Manager designation.

With expertise in club food and beverage operations, financial management, team building, and membership programming Bret has been instrumental in strengthening the club’s staff, achieving operating efficiencies, and enhancing the overall club experience. Under Bret’s leadership, our Club is healthy, active, and continues to attract a diverse and wonderful crowd of new members.
