I have been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Medicinal Herbology since graduating with my MSOM from Samra University of Oriental Medicine in 2004. Prior to studying Traditional Chinese Medicine I was a member of the Perinatal Research Staff at Harbor UCLA Medical Center and the National Institute of Health, where we studied the effects of prematurity on the pulmonary circulation. My background in physiology and biochemistry paired with my natural curiosity led me to the practice of Acupuncture and Functional Nutritional Medicine.

I first met Jean in 2009 and have been coming on and off. A came down with a neurological mishap… I’ll spare you all the details… but I’m almost 100% well! Doctors said to take meds but I knew this was the better route.
I’m not a big fan of needles but she does have a gentle hand and knows exactly what she’s doing. The treatment rooms are so comfy, each with heaters and soothing music. Just writing this makes me want to be there ;)
I have recommended many of my loved ones here. I live 45 minutes away but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Parking is free and plenty! Blocks from the beach!

I tweaked my back, and Jean was my first call. She fit me in immediately. She helped my back, and her bedside manner is fantastic. I look forward to visiting her office again the next time something happens, and I’d recommend her to anyone.

Jean is the best acupuncturist I have ever been to. Jean did an extremely thorough evaluation which highlighted some issues and health problems I was experiencing that I didn’t know could be helped by acupuncture. Jean is very knowledgeable and I know that every time I go in for an appointment, whatever treatment she decides is best will provide relief and put me in a very relaxed and uplifted mood. Her office is extremely quiet and is a great backdrop for her services. If you have been considering acupuncture, go see Jean!
