Dr Ivor Meyerson

I have been going to Dr, Meyerson for past few years and have recommended him to my friends as well. They don’t make you feel rushed and are friendly. very helpful with the selection of the frames and the type of lenses you want.

I found this office through my insurance and have been very pleased. I have since switched insurance companies, and luckily they accept the new insurance! They are polite, professional, and the office is comfortable and welcoming.

THE REASON I DONT GIVE 5 stars because the front desk is not helpful, they don’t assist in opening the glass windows for you to try on frames, therefore that’s why I used my own frames and didn’t buy new set of frames, they were having a conversation rather than helping me try on a frames… that was a thumbs down.

I recently went to see Dr. Ivor Meyerson at the South Bay Galleria for an eye exam. It turned out to be a very pleasurable experience. Dr. Meyerson and his staff were extremely thorough, professional, courteous and focused on my satisfaction. I ended up purchasing my glasses there. I felt comfortable. The care and customer service was impeccable as was the professionalism. The office was easy to find with plenty of parking. They had lots of frames in stock, many choices, easily assessable with plenty of mirrors in order to try them on and find the frames I wanted. There was no pressure. Dr. Meyerson and his staff answered all my questions. were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. My glasses were ready when they said they would be and I even received a phone call letting me know they were ready. Dr. Meyerson and his staff delivered and exceeded my expectations in all aspects. I will definitely be a return customer and highly recommend everyone to go to Dr. Meyerson I believe they will aisol become satisfied repeat customers as I am. I would like to extend my gratitude, appreciation and thanks to Dr. Meyerson and his staff. The best part is I CAN SEE!!!

Dr Meyerson is always interested in helping me explore options to optimize my sight. He lets me try different lenses until we find the right mix. He usually selects the right type the first time!

One of the nicest Optometrists I have met! His Staff are very professional and friendly. I enjoyed my visit and I will be returning for all my vision exams. If you want a really awesome Optometrist, I highly recommend Dr. Meyerson

I’ve been coming for years! Dr. Meyerson and staff are always friendly and very thorough with everything. I did wish they had a bit more of a selection on glasses. Besides that, excellent overall! I recommend to everyone :)

My nine year son needed glasses to start the new school year. I called the normal optometrist my wife and I see, but they were booked for a month. Since we we’re all that happy with them anyways, I started looking around and came across Dr. Meyerson at the South Bay Galleria. They couldn’t take him right away, but in 45 minutes. That’s right away in my book. Perfect.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The paperwork was minimal, which is a huge plus. And Dr. Meyerson was great. Explained everything to my son and myself. I didn’t feel like he was rushing.
The frame selection was great. My son found something within a few minutes that he really likes and we were out of there within 45 minutes.
My wife and I are definitely switching over to Dr. Meyerson as well.

Ive been going to Dr Meyerson for many years… he is great — explains everything and the office staff is wonderful as well. Great location and a large selection of glasses to choose from too!

I’ve been coming here for years! Very easy to make appt. quick follow up. Doctor is quick and does the job. He’s not the most charismatic of doctors… kinda reminds me of the clear eyes guy. Ironic right?! Lol! I digress… he does a great job in making sure I can see properly and has a huge inventory of glasses and if they don’t have the ones u want there, but a contact with the company… they order them for u.

This place was weird. My first visit took 90 minutes even though I had an appointment. The front desk guy was nice, but then he did preliminary tests on me, turned the light off and left the room without saying when he’d be back. I sat in a dimly lit/​dark room for 10 minutes not knowing when anyone would return. Then they had me watch a weird 90s era educational video on eye health for 15 min. The doctor was also nice, but focused heavily on eye health tests. I’m a healthy 30 something who just needed some contacts. He squirted some weird neon yellow stuff in my eye for a test, which I hadn’t planned on– I had an Internet date scheduled after my appointment– he said it’d be mostly gone by then. Weird. I felt like he rushed through the actual eye exam part, the only reason I was there. Then I got a lecture about the only 1 kind of soap you’re allowed to wash your hand with before you put contacts in (ivory-​no moisturizers. This has actually helped keep residue off, so, good). And after my 90 min appt, I was not on time for my date. Then I finally got my contacts and I found I was getting headaches from wearing them. I called and was like, «hey, I wore these things on two separate days and I’m getting headaches, I think we need to tweak my prescription» (which was understandable, because we tried to fudge it by 0.25 in one eye so my L and R matched and I could just buy one box). And the doc was all, «Did you maybe put both contacts in one eye?» And I was all, «On two separate days? No.» And he was all, «hmmm… Are you sure?» And I was all, «Yeah, I’m sure.» They did end up changing the prescription and ordering me another box at no extra cost over the difference of what my insurance covered, which was good customer service and I appreciate, but everything else was weird.

This office is in the mall, the South Bay Galleria, so parking is free and convenient and you can do shopping while you’re there or eat at the food court. I’ve been going here for 20 years at the suggestion of a co-​worker and have not had any complicated issues, so I can say that for straightforward yearly eye exams, this place is just fine. It is never crowded so I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment. They have a nice selection of frames and the various front desk assistants have always been polite and professional.

I have been going to Dr. Meyerson for years and he is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. With my different insurance options, his staff has always ensured that I received the most cost effective care. Throw in the stylish eye glasses and easy access location, and Dr. Meyerson will be my optometrist for years to come.

Dr. Meyerson is very nice and has great bed side (chair side?) manner. He really knows his stuff and helped me with a dry eye issue.

I’ve struggled to find a go-​to place in the South Bay for my Eye Care needs. That struggle is over. A friend recommended me to Dr. Meyerson and I am very grateful she did. I called on a Friday afternoon and was seen the same day! I walked in, filled out the quick documentation and was tended to in 5 minutes. The open hours, ease and efficiency of this place deserves a 5 star rating and more. Plus for reasonable pricing and a more than adequate selection of frames.

Dr. Meyerson was recommended to me by a co-​worker. The office itself is a tad cramped, but the care and friendliness of the doctor and his staff were wonderful. They were very informative and polite, even though I had a ton of questions regarding my insurance. I highly recommend this place, can’t wait to pick up my new glasses soon! :)

I had a very good eexperience there. The doctor was very polite and took his time explaining an answering all my questions. Not to mention they have affordable prices and are willing to work with you if you don’t have insurance (which happens to be my case). I will definitely continue to go from now on and refer all my friends and family.

Girl in the front desk is really mean since our first visit. I only came because of my insurance. Not recommend it at all. People at walmart or any where else are nicer than them.

I have been going to Dr. Meyerson since I’ve needed glasses in second grade, close to 20 years. Second grade. I know. Don’t sit in front of the TV kids!
I’ve watched his office change and I know that he tries to stay up to date with all the technology without compromising his patient care. He always knows the new trends in eye care and makes sure that I at least try whatever contact or lens that is new at the time.
There’s no one else that I would trust with my eyes.

Staff was friendly and I was seen exactly at my appointment time– actually it might have been a couple of minutes earlier. The technician explained all of the tests she was performing. The doctor sat down with me and listened to me for quite a while and then explained his concerns. He’s very relaxed and super easy to talk to and I really enjoyed my visit. My daughter has been to Dr. Meyerson as well and she also enjoyed her appointment. My family will definitely come back here for any future vision needs.
Also, they are open pretty late (think you can schedule an appointment for as late as 6pm) which is great for anyone that works full time.
