I love This place!!! I use to come with my husband and how is walking distance to the beach is perfect to relax and enjoy the ocean view! One Nice thing About this place is you can chose the topping and flavor of your Acai bowl! The size is so huge that we usually skip one meal because we are super full after eat it!

This is where you will get some of the best Acai bowls in the South Bay! Three words to describe it: Healthy, nutritious, and delicious! You honestly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorite is the peanut butter bowl. You can customize it with various fruit toppings of your choosing. A bowl can be a tad pricey, but for the serving services they come in, you actually get more than pay for! The wait can get a bit long due to the time that it takes to make one of these things, but if you call in and order beforehand like I do, you can pick it up without any trouble at all. It really fills you up and gives you an energy boost to get you through the day and it’s delicious!

Best Acai bowl ever. I get the tropical with coconut and mango. They have several different types of bowls to offer and a lot of different toppings. They are a bit pricey but the small bowl is a decent size.

My favorite place for Açaí bowls! Very delicious bowls and friendly staff.
I get the Guarana mixed with water (I avoid the juices) and my toppings are only strawberry, bananas and granola. I skip out on the honey. It’s really delicious (see picture).
I can seriously eat this every day! I love it!!!

Acai café is sooooo good, one of the best food ever, and healthy !! The taste and quality of the food are great. I think this place is underrated so I highly recommend it. You will be full with their acai bowl that is a lot ! It’s fresh and full of energy. For breakfast or lunch.

I love this place! My husband And I always get the tropical acai with banana, granola, honey, and another fruit. Extra granola on the side! Very good! And I don’t feel guilty!

The portions are a good size meaning that the acai they give is a decent portion compared to other places.
Although no matter which acai bowl place you go, it’s a pricey treat to get regularly.
I thought the tropical bowl was okay at best, but that was kinda to be expected because I’m not on the band wagon when it comes to acai. I find it rather monotonous after a few bites.
I’ll have to come back and try the pitaya bowl because that’s something that I actually do like.

But I’m definitely not going out of my way to come here again.
I got their Tropical Bowl with Lychee & Banana and the flavors just didn’t do it for me. It was a chore to eat rather than enjoyment. I cut back on my Acai bowl consumption because I know these things are FILLLLEDDDD with sugar despite being labeled as «healthy». I can’t pinpoint if it was the ratio of ingredients or if the lychee was a bad choice, but I found eating this bowl to be a chore.
I much prefer Paradise Bowls in Manhattan Beach or Liquid Juice Bar on Melrose.
And yes, wait was EXTREMELY long.

Dang, I want to make love to these beach bowls. They are so delicious. You can customize your order to add different toppings as well from strawberries to mangos. I think what’s truly missing here is above-​average customer service.

I’ve been coming for a long time and I’ve got to give it to this place for best açai bowls in the South Bay. There are a lot of places popping up all the time offering açai bowls or smoothies and this place always wins.
They don’t use ice to water down their blends. Fruit is fresh and you can always see them cutting fruit on premise.
There’s sometimes a little wait but it’s worth waiting for. I don’t go anywhere else for açai bowls. They have two locations in the South Bay.

This is by far the best Acai place in the South Bay! I’ve tried other places but this place is the winner by far!!! It’s usually busy, so it’s better to call ahead and place your order. The small Acai bowl is a good size and is very filling. The staff is really friendly and helpful!

Delicious! I usually get the pitaya bowl. Not «runny» like others say, but maybe it’s the apple juice? They don’t use fillers in the Acai bowl like many other places do. The small is usually a meal, very filling and generous fruit toppings. Would love to have peaches, but not an option… yet. Yes, parking is weird, you can drive right by and miss it, but you can always park in the back, you just have to walk through the laundromat next door to get to the front of the store.
Love this place, so glad my teenager turned me on to this place.

I would rate it a 5 but it’s so expensive but typical of acai places.
I usually go to their sister store but if I’m more in this area I would go here. Parking can be more difficult since it’s on the busy PCH street and limited parking that is shared by other establishments.
I love the chocolate and peanut butter or the vanilla protein powder mixes. LOVE LOVE LOVE

I typically go to a different acai bowl place in the beach area, but I decided to try some place new and found Beach Bowls on Unilocal.They have a decent selection here and I really like how you can choose and add toppings to your liking.
The staff here was really nice and helpful. I decided to go with the Tropical Bowl which also consisted of pineapple and mango. You get to choose one topping and I decided to go with strawberries since it already comes with bananas, granola and honey. The small bowl here is actually really large! I was shocked when it came out, but somehow I was able to eat it all. I also tried the apple cinnamon which was also really good. If you like cinnamon you should definitely try this out.
Overall, I really liked the selection at Beach Bowls Acai Café. They had a couple other bowls on the menu that I want to try the next time I am in the area.

It’s on S PCH and Palos Verdes Blvd in Redondo Beach.
Unilocal or iphone app from the address on Unilocal took me a freaking residential area for the detour. It’s on PCH!!! It took me a while to get here. The shopping plaza is super tiny and easily to be missed, so drive slowly when you got into the section on PCH. This little area is so hard to U-​turn. I warned you!
Parking: Very small parking in front of the shop, but available. But they also have a parking in the back (I didn’t check it).
Ambiance: Very casual, simple, a bit solid seating makes you wanna leave quickly.
Menu: Very confusing. Many varieties on acai bowls and some smoothies, but most of them don’t say what’s in it. They could make it easier and more convenient for customers.
Size: Small size is pretty big. I couldn’t finish it because of the portion and not so good taste ;(
Service: Many people complained about the slow service. But I didn’t have the issue. Just the vague menu took me a while to understand a bit of what options were available to me. I still don’t know what they offer well. They were friendly, but it’s very LAME to post the picture of the «tip thief» customer at the register. I don’t know «Brazilian» culture, but it’s lame to me. Don’t steal tips! Free Wi-​Fi.

Acai smoothie: I eat «Acai» bowl all the time, so I do know what it tastes like. I don’t know what they blend it, but the overall flavors were bland/​weak and lacked in the sweetness. Very bleh.
Pitaya bowl: I’ve had various exotic fruits from the actual fruits (lychee, rambutan, mangosteen, starfruit, durian, dragon fruit, you name it!) in my life and wanna try more. I had a dragon fruit before, this bowl didn’t remind me of the taste at all. This was my first time to try the «pitaya» bowl, but nothing made me think I wanted to try it again. It’s way overrated, no? Nothing spectacular about this.

Actual edible part of dragon fruit is «white» with seeds, the skin is the hot pink. So do they blend the skins to get the color or just the food coloring?! The shocking pink color isn’t appetizing if you were into healthy eating like me.
— The consistency is too runny
They claim they don’t use ice, but they should ONLY when the blend got too runny like that. The addition of ice does help thickening the consistency to «icy». I make acai bowls all the time, so I know the trick. I bet some acai places add ice on purpose to make the volume up (the addition of ice does it on top of improving the consistency. But you can tell easily if they added ice because the flavor gets thinner in the case) from the remark… ;p

My favorite acai place,“Acai Republic” in Tustin is run by Brazilians.
I’ve never been to Brazil and had an acai bowl there.
I’ve tried decent amounts of acai bowls at various places.
I make my own acai bowls by actual fruits only — without agave.
So I can fairly say I do know the taste of «acai».
Without the real acai bowl experience in Brazil, I’m not sure about the comment by many Unilocalers — «the closet thing you get from Brazil» or «Best acai bowl in South Bay» type remarks. I hate people use the remarks after only tried 1 or 2 acai bowl places in their lives (I’m sure I was almost right on it).
Judging from both acai smoothie and Pitaya bowl (not acai bowl) — It’s pretty bleh here. I don’t like the runny consistency on the bowl nor the lacks of sweetness and flavors in general. You don’t get «bold» flavors at all here. You might like this place if you don’t like sweet too much — very light in sweetness. I like light-​in-​sweetness generally, but still wanted a little more sweetness.
I might try the acai bowl next time for the «REAL DEAL», but very low hope…

Maybe acai bowls in LA aren’t as good as the ones in OC. You can find good acai bowls fairly easily in OC. Very disappointed.

Like what everyone said, call at least 20 mins prior. I called before I left, came and still had to wait. I was a bit upset because it was hitting almost 30 mins and that’s pretty ridiculous. Service is sooooo slow.
But once I start eating, I’ll shut up with the complaints because the bowl is actually really good and refreshing.
I’m a fan of the peanut butter bowl but I tried the basic this time and was pleasantly surprised with the blend that they made. I like fruits but since it’s still March right now and I now that they’re not quite in season so I’ve been just getting extra banana.
Located in a small plaza, there was parking on a beautiful Saturday afternoon but I can see how it can get crowded!

I have been to almost a dozen different types of acai bowl cafes and, hands down, this is on my Top 3 of amazing bowls!
HERE’S WHY:
First, it must not be blended with crushed ice, and yes, there was an acai place which I won’t name that has started with ice blending then later removed it from the bowl. Thank goodness.
The blend WITH the acai must be consistent with BOTH bananas and strawberries. It may sound like a personal preference but trust me. If you go to a place blended with only banana, then it’s too pasty and you’ll notice a difference right away.
The juice blends should have the options of at least apple juice, almond milk, and soy. This allows the bowl to be either sweet, neutral, or a little more thick in texture.
The smoothie option! Some places focus so hard on the bowls that they forget how to make an incredible smoothie form.
The right kind of oats AND honey on top. This can make or break a bowl. Too much honey or non crunchy oats can leave a dissatisfying taste in your mouth.
Lastly, a generous acai to fruit topping proportion. I’ve seen the line being drawn at ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. Not the best kind of portion, especially when you are scraping for more acai. At least have a generous combination for both small and regular sizes.
To top it off, great service and knowledgable staff help tip the scale as well.
Overall, this place exceeds in all expectations! Again, in my opinion, but I have already tried both smoothies and different bowls at this café and not once have I been let down. I can’t wait to go back again for that wonderful acai fixin.
TIP: Get to know your blends and toppings because they all very in flavor. Maybe you like chocolate, something more tangy, less sweet, more thick. You just have to discover for yourself what you really like.

I admit, I’m not the healthiest girl in the world… But once in a while, I will indulge in a nice acai bowl or smoothie at Beach Bowls Acai Café.
Their menu is simple — either a bowl or smoothie. You can get your acai bowl made of acai berries or pitaya. I really like their tropical acai bowl which comes with granola, honey, and a topping of your choice. I like to get mine with strawberries because they dice it into fine pieces which makes the bowl even sweeter and adds that extra crunch. Their granola here is addicting. It’s not too sugary and it has the perfect texture to it. As for the acai, it is so refreshing and delicious. It has the perfect consistency of being creamy and light. I love it!
I have to admit, this place is pretty pricey. For a small bowl, it is a little over $ 7. It’s probably because of the fact that they are using really fresh and organic ingredients. Hey, but why not if it’s «good» for you, right? I once got the large and let me tell you, it is HUGE! It is definitely big enough to share with two people.
They have plenty of parking both inside and outside of the café. All of the servers are really nice and are great with explaining all of the ingredients that go into an acai bowl.
Next time I go, I am trying their peanut butter and jelly bowl.
