Sensei Trevor is the best!

It’s hard to believe that this location doesn’t have more reviews. My husband and I started attending classes in June and we’ve loved every minute of it!
Since joining, I’ve lost over 40 pounds and gained a ton of endurance and flexibility. The instructors are super friendly, while still remaining professional. Our private lesson instructor, Kione, is truly amazing. His skills are impossible to deny and his teaching method continues to keep us looking forward to our lessons with him. The group classes keep you fit and help you practice all the important skills. I love that you’re not just continuously learning the correct way to punch, but also learning some really important self defense techniques. How to protect yourself from an assailant with a club or a knife, for example. Our classmates seem to keep with the dojo’s upbeat and focused attitude, making the group classes fun as well as educational. Zultimate also offers some really great classes and activities for kids. Watching the instructors with the wild and active children has always left me amazed at their patience and ability to keep the kids focused. They also occasionally offer free self defense classes for women.
The only downsides I can think of are: 1) The monthly fee is NOT cheap. However, you ARE getting what you pay for. One of the main reasons we chose Zultimate over other companies was the once-​a-​week private lesson. It really keeps you much more encouraged and focused then simply attending group lessons. Also, with the monthly fee you can attend as many group classes as you want. For us, that’s three or more a week. 2) There are other charges to look forward to besides the monthly fee. If you continue to move along in belts you’ll pay for every belt test as well as sparring gear later on. This can definitely all add up but at least the gear is a one time fee. 3) This particular location is quite small. The adult group class usually gets split up in order to make room for everyone. However, I do know for a fact that they’re in the process of moving to a new, larger location that will completely abolish this particular flaw.
To sum up, whether you’re looking into a martial arts studio for health and fitness or to gain some awesome skills, this is the place to go. They even offer a couple of free classes so you can see if it’s really the thing for you. Come on in and you won’t regret it!
