Pretty cool… litterally. We were here for work staying at a nearby hotel and decided to check out the caves. It’s amazing how cold it gets in the caves and how dark it was! I’m so glad my companions were smart enough to bring their flashlights! Unlike me :) We did notice one of the caves were covered in graffiti… what a shame. We did notice that it was at least pretty clean without too much litter. It only took us about 30 minutes to go thru all of them tho… not too much too explore but it is pretty neat.

Worst experience ever! Caves are full of graffiti. My 6 and 8 years olds asked me what some very vulgar things meant.

What a fun stop and it was free. There are 4 caves to explore, which took us about 2 hours from start to finish and back to our vehicle. Make sure to bring a flash light for each person in your group because it is really dark inside the caves. Also, wear hiking or tennis shoes as you are climbing or crawling over rocks in places. Took pictures in pitch darkness and were pleasantly surprised on how well they came out. Great half day adventure.

We were on our way to get pancakes when we saw this area. Came back after the pancakes to do a little exploring and found this to be a very interesting little spot.

we saw the sign on our way to the redmond airport and since we had a few minutes to spare, decided to stop by. what a cool little spot. right there on the side of the road are these cool, figuratively and literally, lava caves. little slits in the ground, ducked down, and quickly opened up to standing height. we didn’t have flashlights so we didn’t explore a lot, but just a very neat spot.
