Taking into account face shape, Ana creates beautiful shape that complements everything from skin tone to eye color. Ana also does double duty as one of the Washington States Apprenticeship Program instructors. I had been to Ra Salon once before and had a good experience, so I tried them again this weekend before heading out of town for Valentine’s Day weekend. Unfortunately, after I told the stylist that I want to keep the length and get my layers cleaned up, she proceeded to chop it really short. I didn’t even realize that it was SO short and uneven until I got home. The stylist was very personable, but talked a lot and I thought several times that I hope she knows what’s she’s doing while she’s talking. Clearly she didn’t because I am so disappointed and I won’t be returning. I even scheduled a foil when I left, but now I’m too scared to go there again.
While I appreciate the response on the part of the salon, this can’t be rectified. I just get pleasure of waiting for it to grow out again. Maybe reminding your staff to focus and listen to the customer would help future clients.

Very service I have here has been great. Great facials. Great colors and cuts. And recently, I had a perm done. It’s been a couple decades since I had one, and I was nervous. But Angela did a fantastic job. I’m a very happy customer.

I have been going to this place for years now. Last two times when I needed hair color I had to see a different stylist then my regular one and she totally spoiled my hair color. My greys were not covered at all, I ended up with a line along the root with a different color. I could have done a better job myself coloring my hairs, instead I ended up paying $$$$ for such an awful treatment.
I am writing this review to bring this issue to salon owner’s notice. As repeat and old customer I expect better.
Next time never going to agree to anyone else then Kelsey she is the best.

I’ve now been a customer for a little less than a year. Kelsey has completely changed my hair: for the better! It’s healthy and stylish. I love coming to my appointments and the online appointment system and reminder texts are awesome. The staff is friendly and I love the products. Your stylist will even show you how to use them. Kelsey did my wedding hair and makeup and it was amazing with no pre-​wedding run through! You will not be disappointed at Ra Spa.

I gave facial 3 stars (massage well, but I expected more extraction). It ended up only 2 stars b/​c the lousy front desk really needs more training on their own booking system. It happened to me twice already. First time, I got email confirmation, got there on time, was asked to wait. Then my esthetician, Erin, didn’t even know about my appointment. Obviously, it got messed up, so I got rescheduled. To be on the safe side, I made my 2nd facial appointment with front desk right after my rescheduled facial. When the day came, I was told again that they couldn’t find me in the booking system. If you want to try this salon, make sure you get email confirmation, and call for confirmation before leaving for your appointment. Think twice before you decide to purchase their monthly membership.

This place is awesome. Yasmeen has given me some of the most epic haircuts and coloring I’ve ever had. She can go the entire range — conservative when you need and wild when you want to have some fun :) my favorite was streaks of blonde and purple in my dark Asian hair. Erin is also amazing — she did my eyebrows and I was always astonished at how well she remembered everything that was going on in my life. She’s such a wonderful soul.
The staff is also always friendly, courteous, and happy to see you. As a guy it can be intimidating to go to a salon, but they know how to treat you like a prince.

Went there for a haircut. OMG. I wonder if I’ve been her first customer ever. The lady who cut my hair was very insecure, my left and right side were different lengths when she was done, she clearly had no idea what she was doing. Looks horrible. I could have gone to Supercuts for a third of the price and the same result. Although I have to say I have been to this salon before and had a much better experience.

I’ve been to Ra Salon Spa twice now to get the Elemental Massage from Yasmeen. Both times have been amazing. I got the 60 minute one first time around, and it was so nice, that I went for the 90 minute one next time around. I find the prices very reasonable, and great price for great quality.
The interior smells delicious of Aveda products, and I didn’t realize there were so many other services they provided. I’ve been really eager to get back for another massage and facial, as the staff have been really friendly, and that’s been important to me wanting to return.

Prior to moving from Redmond last month, I used my Groupon for a «Green Element» facial with Erin Welch.
I have had facials in many places around the US and globe and I can say without reservation that this was by far the BEST facial I have ever received! My skin glowed for 10 days after.
Erin is passionate about her profession and it shows; she explained and taught me many things about skin that I never knew.
When I get back to Redmond, I’ll be sure to book Erin again!

I had a great visit today. Mandy did my hair. One thing I can is AWESOME! She was honest enough to let me know don’t go blonde because it wouldn’t look right on me. I had a great time. I am extremely picky who touches my hair, but she did amazing work.

As a Ra Salon Spa customer for several years, I’ve taken advantage of a number of services from color, to highlights, touchups to massage, to hand treatments. All of my color services have been done by two professionals who have been on staff for as long as I can remember: Mandy and Kelsey. Both of these ladies are professional, courteous, super friendly, and have always paid attention to my exorbitant health issues.
I have fine, dish blonde hair and desire a fuller, blonder, brighter look! Both Mandy and Kelsey have been able to achieve these results! Originally, I began seeing Kelsey and she is an Aveda guru! I recently began seeing her colleague, Mandy and liked Mandy’s treatment of my fine hair a little bit more than Kelsey’s. I thought this might be awkward. But like I said, these ladies have been the consummate professionals and have made me feel very comfortable.
During my recent visit, I sat down and «checked in» via Unilocal.Amazingly, I received an immediate coupon for 15% off a service that I could use at that moment or save for a future trip! Great job, Ra for taking that extra step for your customers. Additionally, Ra Salon Spa does accept the Microsoft Prime card — check it out for specials.
The only thing I would say that is «off» is the choice of music. It is inconsistent and doesn’t seem to fit the theme of the salon experience, much less Aveda.
Do make an appointment… especially with Mandy (for your thin and blonde hair) and Kelsey, too, allow Ra Salon Spa to make you a cup of their tea and enjoy the experience!

I’m a professional. A professional who likes having strangely colored hair. As you can imagine, these things do not go together when the color is done poorly. I just moved back from SoCal and my old stylist is at a fancy spa I won’t go to (I hate it because of the clientele) so I went out on a limb and booked an appointment at Ra with just whoever was available at my preferred day and time.
I had a cut, color and make-​up application from Kelsey and could not be more pleased! My hair is now a luscious dark, dark brown with a purple sheen and deep purple highlights. It actually looks waaaaaaay better than what I had hoped for! Kelsey did a great job getting to know me and my preferences (little to no product – I hate feeling it in my hair; easy to style as I won’t do much more than just dry it) and now I have easy, pretty, flowing hair!
This was my first introduction to Aveda hair color and skin products and I AM SOLD! I love their products! I love that the smell of everything from dye to hand lotion is light and not like a chem lab gone awry and that my skin feels better with it on than without it.
I highly recommend trying out Ra Salon. Based upon my experience and the other customers present who clearly knew their stylist and the salon well, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

I had a Groupon for a stress relief/​deep tissue massage and wanted to give this place another shot, since I was disappointed last time with the hair cut/​style that I was given. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. The massage therapist that I had had good pressure but she moved WAY too fast. And she didn’t use enough lotion so it at times felt like rug burns on my skin. She was also really loud with transitioning to different areas or doing something else… a lot of shuffling and clanking around. I blame this partly on the fact that their rooms are TEENY TINY. Any way, now I really won’t be going back. There are a lot of places around the area that I would rather go to for a massage.

Ra Salon Spa is a Aveda salon in the Redmond downtown area. The salon is in an older building, but is well maintained. Prices are competitive for a basics mens haircut and there is ample parking available. There is nothing truly special that makes this salon stand out from others, but all in all, it is a good place to get a haircut when in need. They are open on Mondays which I have found is incredibly difficult to find a non chain location that is open on Mondays in the Kirkland area…

We visited RA Salon on one of the most important days of our lives — the morning of our youngest son’s wedding. They did hair and make-​up for both me and our girls, both of whom were bridesmaids. They did a FANTASTIC job. We were treated like VIPS, and each of us loved our styles and make-​up — they held and lasted until late into the night. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

i saw two people on my single visit to Ra Salon. .
i first got a massage with jessica, and it was heavenly. heavenly! i know a lot about bodywork, and clearly, so did she. if you book a massage there, ask for her!
i also got a blowout and bang trim afterwards. sadly, i cant remember my stylists’ name, but… her technique left a lot to be desired, and it took far longer than it should have. she was a very nice girl, but i would probably look for a more experienced stylist, even for basic blowout work. :-/

I tried this place because of a groupon deal. I was really nervous about getting my hair cut and am always nervous about trying a new stylist. My last stylist ended up moving and I have no idea where she went otherwise I would of followed.
So, Kelsey did my hair and I told her about my nervousness. She made me feel relaxed and at ease. I am absolutely thrilled with my new hair and am glad I took a chance.

About 6 months later I ended up leaving this salon. I had scheduled an appt that got rescheduled for whatever reason. No big deal. Then my rescheduled appt got rescheduled again. When I went in for that appt the hairdresser wasn’t there so I had to wait for someone else and they couldn’t do color like I had been booked for.
The salon was always so cold too. Granted it was winter months and they have a lot of window (loved all the natural light) frontage on the cute corner location. But brrrrrr.
I’d hope this was a one time comedy of errors but nonetheless, I’ve taken my business elsewhere.

It was time to find a new stylist closer to my new home. After going to the same gal for the last 10+ years, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Ra delivered… organic, natural, personal and relaxing! Every person in the salon was welcoming and helpful.
