Marshalls

I’m not usually the one to go to these one stop shop discount stores. However I was in the mood since it had been awhile and rolled on in. I feel like all these stores have an identity crisis. Or they’re just trying to have you spend as much money as possible. I mean they have everything from exotic sauces and snacks to furniture and sportswear. The list goes on… I think there are some really good deals though, and this location has always had a great selection of items while keeping the store clean and looking great. I always check out the electronics here cause they always have these really cool speakers or headphones!
In the back you’re looking at anything from some food to kitchenware to seasonal items and more. Standard layout for almost every Marshall’s. Come to think of it that’s the standard layout for every discount store. I will return again to this store. I always find at least one thing to buy while I’m here.

Pretty good selection of clothing, and you can get a great deal if you look around enough. The mens dressy section can be really picked over at times, and means that most of the 30 – 36 pants are going to be gone. I almost think of this store as a smaller more expensive goodwill, where the clothes are new. Similar somewhat vanilla styles and strange sizes abound. There’s a Payless next door so you can get some bland shoes as well.

Pros: I get my CK socks and underwear at cheap, however not always available; cast iron wear is priced below market and so are some home articles if you find what you need.
Cons: Stupid store manager who moves things around like crazy. One day an item is displayed in one spot and next time you come in it’s in a different location — very annoying!!! All brand items are models from a few years back or with defects. The store itself does look bad and dated. Compared to this one, the Renton store looks like a high-​end store. Bad lighting. Cosmetics used to be reasonable priced, but those times are long gone; I googled a price to compare an Issey Miyake men perfume and it was more expensive than at Macy’s; how about that. They fool you with apparently low price tags but you need to pay attention to the quantity which is usually a lot less than you would expect.
All in all it’s not a place to avoid, but it’s not one to find any pleasure being there.

I was shopping in Marshalls Bellevue yesterday and also shopping was a women with a dog on a leash. Not a service dog but a PET. I talked to the front desk and they said the animal can be in the cart. I don’t want to put my Cashmere Sweater in the cart that a dog just had it’s open anus on. Whats to stop the dog from urinating on something or biting a customer. If more and more dogs are allowed they will pick up the smell of other dogs. This is a place for people, NOT animals. Can I bring my pet rat in or snake? What’s next??? I will contact the Health Department.

I didn’t like the manager at all, they don’t care about customer service, they just dictate corporate policies. A lot of damaged merchandise, manager inflexible about discounts, in spite of poor condition. Recommend Value Village’s in the area. Nice clothes selection, dirt cheap!!!

Great selection of décor items here. I bought a lot of beachy décor items here. Their collection of bowls and cups is also amazing. I have not purchased any clothes or accessories here, but they seem to have a good variety.

When i need to buy a piece of cloth to wear that branded and cheap; Marshall is my togo place. The problem is that sometimes there is a line of people and the cashiers are no fast enough to run transactions; I think that it’s because they keep on changing them. also, another issue that I face is that I do not get lucky in finding what i really want.

I don’t love these types of discount stores — it’s a personal thing — I don’t even bother looking for clothes. However, if I ever do make the trek out, I actually stock up on… water. Weird, right?
Well, a lot of times, they have the Voss water that comes in cool bottles or the designer label Evian water bottles available — and that’s what I come here for. That, and sometimes I’ll find some good gift items, mostly in the food/​snack section. They always have pretty little tins of candy or cookies of some kind. Another secret item? Gift bags. They’re always nice and a steal. So yeah, a little unconventional… but hey, whatever works, right?
I feel like I’m letting everyone know my secrets.

Cashiers are extremely slow! Mostly elders that like to talk and talk and talk! Annoying!

Wonderful selection and wonderful employees. I bought a dress for a wedding yesterday and right after I bought it the strap broke. I brought it back this morning and they graciously accepted it, and the cashier was very sweet and sympathized with me.
I will be going back, for sure!

Great selection and wonderful prices. Tend to have lots in stock. Sometimes there’s a wait for the changing room. Electronics selection is tiny. Lots of clothes to choose from though. Staff is friendly.

There is a surprising amount of designer brand items here. I found a lot of Patterson J Kincaid, Marc Jacobs, Free People, Kate Spade etc clothing here. Of course these prices still aren’t like $ 10 but more in the $ 50-​$ 60 which is a bargain compared to their retail prices. They have racks and racks of medium and large items but not as many racks for the extra small/​small items which is what I usually wear.
The purse selection is okay. I like their housewares section here. I stocked up here when I first moved to the Seattle area.

This store is great! They have so much to offer at this store. It’s clean, well maintained, organized! Lots of variety of merchandise & a large home furnishing area, which I was impressed with the most. One «weird» thing was when I went to try on clothes, they have a 10 item limit (that’s not the weird part), the extras the fitting room attendant said I couldn’t leave to swap out? WTF? How am I suppose to try on all my stuff? She said I would have to put it «somewhere else,» as they aren’t responsible for watching them as I try on the 10 items? I asked…“why can’t I just leave it here at the front of the fitting room desk (it was only 2 more items, mind you), but she said, no! So, i just hung it on a rack on a display near the fitting room area, tried on some of what I «COULD» bring in and then told the attendant…“I’m changing these out for those… still 10 items total in my room,” which she was fine with. Totally made NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER, but I got everything I needed, so I was happy nonetheless. Other than that, the cashiers were really nice and friendly, and overall, except that fitting room Nazi, it was an excellent experience.

Amazing Marshall’s! We found sooo many good deals here!!! Lots of shoes on clearance here and very well kept. The staff was friendly and I was asked if I needed help a couple of times which made my night!

Great finds here! The Northgate/​Aurora Marshall’s is so sad inside, probably because all the good stuff comes here. I got a $ 18 down throw pillow, $ 50 king sheets, and a shirt. I had to really stop myself from shopping more, but I didn’t have time nor money.

Kind of a hit or miss location for me. I’ve had better success finding things for myself when I’m here, but whatever woman I’m shopping with always manages to find several items they can’t live without.
You can run into some long lines depending on what date or time you come in. Don’t worry about parking though, they share a lot with the shopping center so you’ll be able to find a good spot next to the door.

My place to get something discounted but yet branded

Always worth checking Marshalls if you are looking for good deals for brands. I can say I like more their clothing section the most because of the variety in selection. Also the way they sort the clothes in racks makes it easier to go thru the items. Their fragrance selection is also looking good.

Even at stores that are supposed to be cheaper than others, I still find that a lot of the items just seem over-​priced. And, then there’s Marshall’s. Here, you actually can find items at a real discount and some nice brand name items for cheap too!
I was working on a gallery wall in my home and needed A BUNCH of frames. If I were to go to a place like Target or Michael’s, each frame is usually $ 10 – 25 or more (usually more… lots more), but at Marshall’s I can get a bunch of frames of a decent quality (and sometimes with matting) for around $ 6 to $ 9 each. Really, I wouldn’t have felt making the gallery wall was worth it if I had to invest so much into it, so being able to find a nice bargain place to shop allowed me to let my inner interior decorator out to play for a bit!
I also really like perusing the home section of the store. I’ve even seen some Le Creuset items in here for a really discounted price once again! You don’t always know WHAT you’ll find, but there is definitely an opportunity to find some hidden gem for a good price. Of course there are clothes here too — just do a little digging and you can find something you might really enjoy. My husband prefers to shop for casual button-​down type shirts here because they always seem to be a much better quality (and price) than those you’d find at a Target or similar type store.
The store itself is also kept fairly clean and it’s definitely bright in there too. There aren’t a lot of employees all over the store, but they’ve always been friendly at the cash register (they even wrapped up all of my frames for me!). Overall, this is definitely a good Marshall’s.

Good location and not a bad selection for a Marshalls. My go to spot to get some discounted men’s underwear! OK… that was TMI.
