Legacy Leadership teaches beneficial leadership skills that we can learn from horses and how to apply them in business and other aspects of our lives. We focus on team building, emotional intelligence, self awareness, whole brain skills, and sustainability.

Working with horses is a creative and enjoyable way to develop these skills. It takes people out of their normal routines for an uplifting and educational experience.

We have workshops designed for 2 hours where a team could take a morning or afternoon away from the office, or we can design day long workshops.

We are conveniently located in Redmond, Wa, near the end of 520. We are under a half hour from downtown Seattle and under 10 minutes from Microsoft headquarters.

There is no riding in these workshops. There is interaction on the ground with a horse that is a size that the client feels comfortable with. It is also very beneficial to only observe and have no interaction with the horses.

History

Established in 2013.

Duschka has been a horseback riding instructor and competitor for 20 years. From 2011 – 2013 she completed an MBA from Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle. Throughout her coursework she noticed many ways that horses could teach skills that are important in business. She developed workshops where clients can learn these skills from horses and translate them immediately into a business setting. These are fun and creative workshops excellent for business teams and/​or other groups.

Meet the Business Owner

Duschka F.

Business Owner

Duschka has 30 years of experience riding and working with horses. She is a professional riding instructor and business manager at Brackenhollow Stables in Redmond, Washington. She has been an upper level competitor in the sport of three day eventing, and on the Olympic long list in 1998,1999, 2010 and 2011.

More recently she has completed an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Seattle. She has a unique ability to understand and translate how horses see the world, and a talent for bringing the beneficial life skills that horses offer to people’s lives.
