Specialties
Hoffman’s Fine Cakes and Pastries specializes in high-quality baked goods made from scratch in our kitchen. We use only the finest ingredients, locally sourced and sustainably farmed whenever possible. We make a wide variety of products, from cookies to breakfast pastries, custom birthday cakes to elegant wedding cakes, house made soups and salads, sandwiches made on bread baked fresh every morning. We use recipes developed by the original owner which have stood the test of time over the 31 years Hoffman’s has been in business.
History
Established in 1984.
Ed and June Hoffman opened Hoffman’s Fine Pastries in December of 1984 at Kirkland Parkplace Shopping Center. Hoffman’s Fine Pastries flourished in the Kirkland community for 31 years. Ed and June sold the business in 2000, and the current owners, Eugenia Velez and Carlos Covelli, have maintained the Hoffmans’ commitment to excellence. Hoffman’s recently relocated to a beautiful new location in Redmond and continue to produce all the wonderful treats they are so well known for.
Meet the Manager
Janis R.
Manager
Janis started working at Hoffman’s in the summer of 1999. She first started working behind the front counter selling pastries and taking cake orders. When asked if she was interested in learning how to bake, Janis leapt at the chance to be instructed by a master baker. She trained under Ed Hoffman until he sold the business and moved to California, but continued her baking education under the talented bakers who remained at Hoffman’s. She now works for Eugenia and Carlos as the Production Manager at Hoffman’s and is very proud to continue making the pastries and cakes in the tradition of excellence demanded by the original owners. Janis is grateful that Ed gave her the chance to develop the skills that have allowed her to enjoy a career working in a field that she loves and to continue working for a business she is proud to be a part of.
