Hertz Rent A Car

No changes. I got the district managers number left him a message and no call back. I’m filing a complaint with the better business bureau by the end of this week if they don’t contact me. Stealing money is. Completely unacceptable! I wish I would’ve never given them my card to keep on file like they requested!

Hello There I am articulating and sharing the awful experience that we had to witness in Hertz premises on ¹²⁄₂₆ (Redmond Northeast 91^st Street HLE, 14 712 ortheast 91^st Street, Suite 250 Redmond, WA, US, 98 052) by Hertz personal when we reached to pick up the cars we reserved. Here is the full story: 1. We had reservation for 2 cars. Reservation# G***** & G*****B9 2. I got a call at 7:45 AM from Hertz that our reserved cars are not available at scheduled 8 AM instead Hertz can provide that cars at the earliest at 11 AM. I told the Hertz personnel that this is not acceptable as we had a planned trip and delay will be a huge problem. As the Hertz personnel did not seem very cooperative I told that I will drop by Hertz office immediately and requested him to arrange for the cars. 3. I reached Hertz office at 8:15 AM with my friend Bodhisatwa Mukherjee (CCed in this email) and his spouse Madhurima Mukherjee. 4. We greeted the person (later we came to know that he is the manager for Redmond Hertz center) at the Hertz counter and told that we came to pick up our reserved car which was scheduled at 8 AM ¹²⁄₂₆. The Hertz person told us that there is no cars available at that time to offer us until 11 AM. We were trying to explain that we had a trip planned and hotel booked. We had a road trip of 6 hours to Bend, Oregon which goes thru a difficult road thru Mount Hood. Delay in start would put our trip in jeopardy and we might need drive thru the snowy treacherous Mt Hood pass at dark which we were not comfortable. Hence the cars at time was necessary. But the Hertz person was rude to listen to our problem and told that he can do nothing. When we made him clear that car at 11 AM is not acceptable, he rudely asked us to «LEAVE» from Hertz premised which we thought derogatory and we planned to leave the place immediately lest we get more insulted. 5. We came out disgusted and tried to contact Hertz customer care to register official complain against this horrid incident and make alternate reservation thru some other Hertz location. 6. While I was trying to connect Hertz customer Care, the Hertz person came out and tried to negotiate with my friend saying he had some other alternative solution for us (which I believe he could have shared before). But we were in no mood to talk to him as we were seriously disgusted. That time he crossed all the limits and abused us using ‘F’ Word and ‘KICK OUR A$$ES”. I would request Hertz to look into this issue and investigate how bad Hertz customers were treated in Hertz premises. I would need updates on this complain. I have no update whats progress of my complain made thru Hertz Customer Care though I was promised that I would get a call in next 1 hour. As the review below said, stay away from this one completely.
Hertz shops at airports are pretty decent so I made the wrong assumption of expecting the same level of service from their local shop, where a bunch of incompetent losers work.
I rented a car with them for 9 days with coverage under insurance company, and they provided the worst and most incompetent service that I have encountered who forced me to publicize this experience in the hope that more people will be spared.
— They didn’t bother to get a final approval from my insurance company on the exact dates of coverage and charged my credit card even after I specifically called them asking them to wait for a few days while we figure out with insurance company.
— They didn’t even bother to send a receipt after they charged my card with authorization.
— After they got the money, it’s all business done for them, so they didn’t even bother to call me back after I called them twice to ask what’s going on and why the card was charged.
— Finally I got through the guy whose name is Cody, he refused to help on the matter at all. Saying that I should call Hertz billings department myself AND download the receipt from their website myself because there is nothing he can do. So basically the only customer service he can render quickly and on-​time is to charge your card.
Stay away… just stay away. Car rental shops are more numerous than bed bugs, don’t bother with this one as they won’t bother with you to provide any service.

Worst booking/​reservation experience and customer service we’ve had. Booked online, we get there and the car is not there. They promised they would have it the next day and when we called, still not there and somehow we were the bad guys for asking and expecting.
Finally threatening to call their actual managers at a different location brought results and even then the car they produced was not what they said they would have for us over the phone.
All other companies we have dealt with in the past would just upgrade us so that we would drive out with a car on the first visit if they did not have the car available. This place is just a satellite. They don’t keep the cars there and they get it from elsewhere.
I would advice to avoid them completely. Even their employees admit their system is awful even in their other locations.
