Since my original review I’ve become a regular. As regular as I can given that they only come by my office every two weeks. I’d eat there more if they changed their schedule(hint Hint). Everything is good, but the Tarfaya– Kefta brochettes and the Sawira — chicken are my favorites. Well those are my favorite entrees, actually my favorite thing on the menu is the artichoke Hummus and pita. It’s hard to describe the flavor of the food, there are so many things hitting your tongue at once, and I hate the phrase«explosion in my mouth», but it kinda is. I’ve also finally tried the tea which a friend keeps raving about and it’s quite good. Sweet and soothing on a cold, fall day. I can hardly contain my excitement on «Chewaya Day.» The food is really something to look forward to.

Agree with what others have suggested in that while the food is actually pretty tasty it is not enough so to overcome the combination of small portion and high price for a food truck.

I tried the Tarfaya(beef) brochettes, which was topped with a crunchy slaw and wrapped in a warm pita. The beef had plenty of savory flavor and reminded me of a meatball. The slaw was very fresh and included pieces of pineapple that added some bites of sweetness. The entrée includes either a side salad or fries. I ordered the salad, which ended up being a lot smaller than expected… just a few pieces of lettuce broken up and a fairly small amount of chopped veggies on top. On the bright side, it had a flavorful dressing… but my point here is to go with the fries! The portion is pretty filling, but I feel that the price of $ 9.50 is a little high. However, the service is great as the employees are friendly and appear happy to chat with the customers.

Great food — small portions for the price. Everything I got tasted amazing, but the lamb bbq sandwich was rather small and ‘fillered’ with coleslaw. I had a sneaking suspicion that the portions would be small so I also ordered the hummus/artichoke dip with pita chips which was really good, also — tho I had skipped the fries and went with a salad side(which was also amazing and small) for my sandwich and wasn’t expecting the pita chips with the side of hummus to be deep fried(so be warned). I’d give 4 stars for larger portions.

Just tried their food truck. It’s looks s bit worn out and not the cleanest. The line up was long so assuming the food must be tasty. I wasn’t disappointed. It was 9 bucks and tried their chicken wrap. It was delicious but beware it has a fair bit of spice. It was fresh, delicious and the staff was friendly and quick. Would recommend if you like a bit of heat.

Chewaya is not a bad food truck if you are in the mood for a fresh, somewhat healthy lunch that is full of flavor. The portion size of the«gyro» is generous, it is stuffed full with both meat and veggies that were fresh and full of flavor. The prices are fairly high; especially for a food truck. The biggest disappointment was the fries. The fries were served soggy with potatoes oozing out. I do not understand how the cook would even feel OK serving these to a client, it shows very little care of your service and food quality standards. If you do decide to go here opt for the side salad verses the fries. If there is a choice in food trucks though just keep walking to the next one…

I love this food truck! The lamb is perfectly spiced and cooked. I’m always left feeling full and satisfied and the service is great! I wish they would come by my office park more than just once a week!

This is my first time trying Moroccan food and I was impressed. For being a food truck prices are somewhat within reason. I ordered the # 3 beef and left full after my meal, so no complaints there. The beef is nicely favored along with fries in the sandwich. This totally reminded me of the days of eating on the ave. I would totally recommend this place to my friends and go back again.

Ordered the lamb kefta brochette/sandwich. I was looking forward to it since lamb is one of my favorite. Unfortunately, the lamb was stringy and rubbery. I had to remove the lamb meat and just have the pita like bread with the slaw/seasonings. The meat was that bad. It had no flavor. Felt like they did not marinate it well. The side order of salad was the only saving grace. It tasted good. $ 13+(including taxes) was too much for this unfortunate lunch. I ordered my sandwich without fries, but it ended up coming with the fries. The lady who took the order was inexperienced. She did not ask for my name so the order could be matched to the person who ordered it. She seemed not up to the task. Good thing they were not busy otherwise it could have been a disaster.

Really really delicious tender lamb. I can’t stress enough how yummy that lamb was. My friend had the beef kefta sandwich and she loved it as well. The people are really friendly. Just can’t go wrong. Can’t wait to see them back in Bellevue!

Really happy I got to try this food truck! Lately the food trucks in the area haven’t been that exciting or are all doing riffs on grilled cheese(which is tasty, but not worth $ 12IMO). I ordered the tarfaya(beef) sandwich which is served with charmoula salsa and Moroccan BBQ sauce and a side salad. I couldn’t tell which was slaw, salsa, and BBQ sauce, but together it was sweet, spicy, and warm(like cinnamon and cloves, but way better than it sounds). Together they were excellent accompaniments to the spiced and savory beef kefta. I want to come back for the Sawira(chicken)!
