Came here for restaurant week. Food and service were amazing!

Decent Italiano in suburbia. Seafood Pasta A Maccaroni Di Busa was spectacular — Halibut w couscous was just as fabulous! The Bistecca was not my fave but a-ok. My son scarfed down the bow tie Alfredo! Trio gelato and canneloni’s were decent. Service was swift and resto has a nice vibe. I did not leave«blue» that’s for sure. I’ll be back Blu Sardinia — I’ll definitely be back! Grazie. Ciao.

We needed a nice Italian restaurant for our family celebration of our daughters 42nd birthday. I took a leap of faith and called since OpenTable couldn’t reserve that large a group. There were 12 of us — 5 were children. They have a lovely menu with great selections for antipasti, salads and main courses. The flatbread with goat cheese and roasted garlic was delicious as was the salad with strawberries and goat cheese with an amazing limoncello vinaigrette. Our taglietti with veal meatballs was also very nice. They also offer a children’s menu. The décor is modern and very nice and bright. Our waitress was wonderful and we had very good service and suggestions for all. Would highly recommend this restaurant from couples to family. We will definitely return. FYI — there was a Unilocal notice that they don’t want kids DON“T believe it — they were wonderful with our children ages 8 to 12 and offer a children’s menu. Thank you again for a lovely evening.

We have been back several times and really like this place. While our first impression left us underwhelmed as a whole there was still potential and so we’ve been back, several times now :) This is a great spot for Happy Hour, which is when we tend to visit most often for a quick bite after work. Have also had dinner and lunch a couple times and really like the food. Good service, good food, nice ambiance — and my favorite pizza in Redmond too.

Had dinner for the first time at this establishment and will be back. Had a reservation for 5 at 630 walked in the door and our table was setup and waiting. Hostess immediately sat is down and our waiter immediately helped get us situated. Food was excellent and our waiter nicely helped one of our dinners with a special diet restriction. 1. Service beyond reproach 2. Food excellent, portion size a little large 3. Would love to see a proper starter menu in the future but will be back in a week.

Nice modern décor and dish presentation, however the food is not on par with high prices that the restaurant demands. It’s close to home cooked meals made from scratch rather then chef prepared meals. Dishes lucked dimension in their taste profile. Disappointed. Not planning to return.

4 stars — food and service. 3 stars — portion sizes and prices. Total = 3.5 stars. I made reservations for 5:30 on a Tuesday, however the restaurant wasn’t crowded at all. The service was excellent — after being seated, the waiter took the time to explain the menu options, checked with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our dishes and made sure our waters were always full. Everyone was so courteous! I came here for dinner during Seattle Restaurant week(3 dishes for $ 30). Looking at the regular menu, it appeared that not all the dishes offered for Restaurant Week are available on a normal basis. Although I enjoyed the food, the prices of the regular offerings are on the higher end, so it would not be my first choice if looking for Italian cuisine. ** Calamari(appetizer): The individual pieces of calamari were pretty substantial with a light breading, served on a bed of spring greens. Although the breading had a nice crispiness, it could have used more seasoning and salt… it was a little on the bland side. ** Pork Medallions w/Marsala sauce and veggies(entrée): I usually don’t order pork at restaurants because I’m worried about it ending up too dry. However, they cooked the pork perfectly — it was SO tender! The wine in the Marsala was a little stronger than I would have liked, but it complemented the pork well. The veggies on the side were sauteed well and tasted fresh. ** Vanilla Panna Cotta w/berry sauce(dessert): The custard was delightfully creamy, flavored with real vanilla beans. The berry sauce was a great balance of tart and sweet, yum! The serving of calamari was smaller than expected and the panna cotta was tiny! However, the size of the entrée was more reasonable. Overall, Blu Sardinia is a polished restaurant with a wonderful staff, but could benefit by reducing prices or serving larger portions.

There is more to a good meal than simple quality. Food is great. Service appropriate. Vibe is the problem. A bit pretentious and cold, funny enough and awkward. Go for sure, but know they are kind of weird.

I agree with the other reviews on here that service is excellent but the food is just meh. Really friendly service, I felt really welcome from the moment the host greeted us at the door. Came here for the restaurant week menu and the food was not very memorable at all.

What a perfect meal! Each blending of flavors was so perfect. I had black cod which was done just right with the delicate flavor of the fish not overpowered by flavorings. The ravioli my friend had was homemade and perfect. It is rare to go to a restaurant to have each item at our table of three be so perfect. The desserts were fabulous and all made in-house and the presentation was beautiful. Everything settled well too as the ingredients were all high quality. The chef must have access to a fresh herb garden and vegetable garden — all had a just-picked flavor. I have visited Blu Sardinia several times and each time the food has been consistently wonderful.

3.5 stars. The service was fantastic. The food was good but not superb. Although it’s not a wood burning oven, my son really liked the freshly baked pizza. The seafood salad was ok — tasty but didn’t taste the freshness exactly. The only downside was the price/value ratio. It’d be a good place for a date — cute décor, fancy table settings with great service — but there are so many other choices for families nearby(sushi, phở, Thai). I’ll probably pass on this place next time.

If you follow me you know how I am about service. Fantastic location, delish food, but most importantly the star is friendly and well versed in service! Having a bad day? Go here. Celebrating? Go here. Great space upstairs for private events or group gatherings!

We had dinner and drinks there last night as we watched the football game. The female bartender made the drinks and also took our food orders. She offered many opinions on food and drink offerings. All were greatly appreciated. Here are a few of my thoughts on the night. — great service and drinks — beet salad needed more beets, less spinach — desserts were A+ — Add the shrimp to your risotto, it was delicious Overall it was a good night of dining and drinking.

Don’t get the poor reviews as we loved everything about this place! Great service, ambience, food, even the bathroom was nice. Started with some nice Italian wines and finished with Italian dessert wines which were excellent. Caesar salad with Italian anchovies were a hit. My cheese pizza was one of the better ones I’ve had. The apple pie thingy with ice cream was awesome. Definitely coming back.

Most average good food. If this block did not have at least 5 great dinning places I’d say… This is a good Italian meal. Truth is there are some really good eats near by, like JJ Mahoney’s… Which is Irish fare. But will cost you a lot less. Magic question is will I come back? Probably not, as its too pricy for what you get. Sorry…

Wow, amazing service, super authentic, and excellent gelato. We will definitely will be back for date night. Michele was arguably the friendliest server I’ve ever had. Come for lunch and enjoy your midday transport to deliciousness.

It was exciting to find that a new fine dining place had come to Redmond and knowing how restaurants need to find their feet and settle down, I refrained from reviewing Blu Sardinia until I had a few meals there. At this time, about 8 months after their opening, I am comfortable in giving them a solid four stars. The food and service is excellent, but still a little on the spotty side. I’ve been a single diner, dined with friends, and challenged them with a party of 10 and 2 babies(who spread bread crumbs far and wide) for lunch. While the meals are excellent and very flavorful, I’ve had bread that was a little«toasty» — the grill was too hot and made nice black, bitter burnt lines in it. A friend has had a salad with salmon which was still frozen in the center — this was made right of course, but should never have happened. Substitutions have been gracefully made when requested and even suggestions made for guests I’ve brought who are diet restricted(pescatarian, low-carb, gluten free). Just like they should be in any fine restaurant. Favorite dishes: The risotto is to die for and every fish option I’ve had has been flavorful and the desserts can’t be beat. The tiramisu is delightfully smooth with intensely flavored coffee bombs when you bite into the pieces of ladies fingers. The panna cotta is a personal favorite(if you enjoy panna cotta) — delightfully smooth and flavorful, without being intensely sweet. Gelato flavors change out regularly and they are happy to serve you just once scoop. I am not a wine drinker, but friends who are have been happy with their offerings and the knowledgeable staff who were happy to make pairing suggestions. The ambiance is modern with some lovely pieces of glass art adorning the walls and plenty of daylight with large windows. Once they’ve sorted out their kitchen, I would be happy to give them the full five stars, but in the meantime, I will continue dining there.

Friends like this restaurant so we thought we’d try it. I don’t plan to go back. For the price the experience was not worth it. We had a reservation and the place was quite empty. So the hostess sits us directly across from the kitchen door. The waiter was arrogant. And frankly, the food was just OK. I think they have the salads already premade as they came out in a nanno second. The décor is really nice as is the location. But if you can’t provide welcoming service and excellent food, it really doesn’t matter.

While Blu Sardinia has very good food, nice ambiance and a decent wine selection the main reason we are regulars is their excellent bartender, Tony. We look forward to our weekly visits because when Tony is working, you get excellent service from this very knowledgeable bartender, and as an added bonus he is very personable and entertaining. He greets us by name when we arrive and is very attentive and familiar with our dining and drinking preferences. We refer to him as «Dinner and a Show Tony.» I hope he stays at Blu for a long time. I also hope the management realizes what a gem they have in Tony. As we are frequent customers, we’ve gotten to know other regulars who have the same opinion. In an era where it seems customer service is no longer a priority, it is such a pleasure to find someone like Tony.

Went for lunch with a friend while they were doing restaurant week. This was a completely different experience then my previous dinner. The waiter was charming and very helpful he picked out the most delicious bottle of Italian white for us. He said it was his personal favorite and it was perfect. We both had the insalata and fish I believe it was tilapia but I’m not sure. Both were fantastic! The fish was made with olive oil, tomatoes and capers. I usually do not eat fish but it sounded so good and it did not disappoint. I took our dessert to go and my kids devoured my cream puff before I could even get a bite… they LOVED it. The tables are still way to close and it is an invasive feeling when the person next to you can hear everything being said…
