AAA Radiator Air Conditioning Service & Repair

Went here one time for some radiator work and that went well. My car also needed other work and the guy (owner) told me he also did general auto repair and he quoted me a good price so I decided to give him a shot, Big mistake. He fumbled and bumbled for a few hours and things appeared to be going south. Then I found out he dumped the work on the shady looking autoshop next door (without asking me) and he then simply ignored me and would not even acknowledge me. Ended up paying much more and it was just a terrible experience. He knows radiators but should not have quoted work unless he was sure he could do it. Hard to say no to the money I suppose.

John has helped me with the build of my 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan. Advised me against replacing my original radiator and setting it up to accept the newer motor along with a built-​in trans cooler. He also helped me with the cleaning and set-​up of my existing fuel tank to accept fuel injection. The radiator on my 50 Chev is next, thank you so much!

i had a leaking radiator late Friday, and John, the owner took care of me and accepted a check as I had no credit or debit cards available in this vehicle. I promised him my check would be good and he said «do not worry about it, I have completed over 4100
service repairs with no issues (other than one customer.)
Wow, amazing record for a small business owner.

I have been to this shop at least 100 times. I own a fleet repair service and have nothing but excellent service there. I would and have recommended Redmond AAA Radiator service to all in need of services provided.

This place is just terrible. The owner (John) has been working too long there I guess. On a personality score of one to ten he is almost a one. I had some early success at this place, but over the years he seems to have developed a real hatred for dealing with people. Today I went there with my wife’s van to get the AC checked out. He gave me that real mean look that he does real well and said «I am dealing with cars that have real problems not with „pretend“ problems». How could be possibly know that it was a pretend AC problem just by looking at the outside of the van? Maybe he is overworked or something, but he is the most surely person I have ever met in a long, long time. Avoid this place as he is beyond bizarre.
Update: Took the van the next day to Eastside Auto Care over by Whole Foods in Redmond. What a difference in a good way. They did find a leak in the system and it was fixed easily. They had to repopulate the system, etc. and now it is very cold and my wife is very happy. My daughter spent a lot of time researching this company and I am glad she did, So the «Pretend» problem turned out to be a real problem after all.

What a GREAT experience. My air conditioning was working intermittently working an my car has a lot of miles on it, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of $ to fix it. I had called the dealership and another repair place and they wanted $ 250-​$ 300 JUST To diagnosis the problem. I took it to AAA because John said that he would only charge me for the ACTUAL fix! Hallelujah! He worked with me for 2 days until it actually started acting up. Once it wasn’t working the fix was a mere $ 70. I would definitely recommend AAA to anyone and already have!

Awesome service! He’s really quick and professional. I read the previous comments about his attitude, but I didn’t find him rude at all considering he works at the shop completely alone and everything! Great guy and I’ll be back again.

Heating? Cooling? Have issues with your engine heating up or radiator acting up? got a leak or just need help? This guy is the master!
I will have to agree with Scott on his rude like roughness… but as I said earlier, I like the realism and theme of places. This guy is real and yeah, he is direct and doesn’t waste your time. I actually like that. It is more rude to be nice to my face and then screw me over. This guy really knows his stuff and charges very fairly.
So, if you want a smile and a hug while your car isn’t professionally worked on and you may go home with a still broken car, this isn’t the place to go. Yes, expect him to be a man’s man, direct and sometimes, you may feel like you’re bothering him.. but gosh darn it! it’s good work! fast, fair, and honest.
That’s why my star rating doesn’t budge!

We’ve been using him for a lot of services for years now. It started w/​an airconditioner hose going to the back of the excursion breaking. The previous guy kept adding coolant and finally found the leak. Several bids from people were between $ 1200 and $ 1500 to buy a replacement kit and swap it out. AAA fixed the original leak and modified it so it wouldn’t hit the suspension and break again— ford’s error in the first place. He did this for $ 200, but I tipped him. He did someone else at work real good, and that’s where I heard about it. He’s been my main mechanic ever since doing oil changes and so on.
UPDATE: My 4×4 needed new hub locks. Ford wanted $ 300 each. I ordered them from amazon for $ 204 for the pair and they’ll be delivered tomorrow. He was fine with it sitting there overnight.

I needed to have a fuel pump replaced on my truck. This is a job I would normally have done myself but did not have time to do before needing the truck for a weekend trip. A friend recommended this place and said that they also do general auto repair. I made an appointment on Friday 7÷23÷10 for the following Tuesday 7÷27÷10. When I made the appointment the person on the phone (who I think owns the place) didn’t take my name or number for the appointment and that seemed odd to me. So I arranged to get a ride to work from a friend, the following Tuesday.
When I arrived at 8:30am to drop off my truck, I was directed to the back of the shop by some of the customers. The odd feeling I had about the way this guy does business was confirmed when I said «Hi I’m here to drop off my truck for the fuel pump replacement» to the one person working in the shop, and was told «Lets reschedule for another day, today is not a good day.»
Still stunned from that remark and REMEMBERING OUR APPOINTMENT, I asked «when a good day would be?» The gruff and rude response was «not today». He wouldn’t even entertain the notion of having me come back at another time, which I was willing to do up to that point. He’d been fiddling with a car he was working on while I stood there getting more upset by the second about the way I was being treated. Then he walked to a workbench nearby and wasn’t even man enough to look me in the eye, or explain himself. What a punk.
The most fun part was explaining to my friend that his trip to Redmond to take me to work was a complete waste of his time too. And, of course, telling every one with an ear to AVOID AAA RADIATOR entirely.
A couple of tips to the owner of AAA:
1) Start using an appointment book. Even if it is just a paper one. If you can’t keep your appointments straight you will fail. Not that I’m rooting for your success at this point.
2) Try not to be rude to the customers. They are the ones who show up with THE MONEY TO PAY YOU. I’m guessing from the look of the other customers in the waiting room that you treated them like crap too.
3) Hire some help if you can’t keep up with your random workload. Oh wait, nevermind, you probably work alone because you are such a jerk that nobody will work with you.
4) Your customers don’t care if you’re having a bad day. It’s not their problem. They are paying you for a service. So check your crappy, little, oppressed-​working-​class-​hero attitude. Not just because we all have our own problems, or just because we’re CUSTOMERS… but because nobody who enters your shop to pay you for a service actually cares what’s troubling you.
